| Analyzing plays is what a catcher does . . . What was weighing him down was his hesitation to take risks, coming across as half-assed, in other words playing it too safe. Anyways, I was wrong about that other catcher, although in this show the scary/mean senpai always turns around helping out the scared kohai, probably should have seen this coming instead of simply a dude crushing potential competition. |

| Toshiya is just thinking too much about those errors, especially in baseball. Errors happen all the time in baseball. If you get crushed by at every error, he won't be able to last 160+ games! Of course, he won't all those 160 games, but he have to stay focused on each one he's playing. |

| essentially, toshi needs to stop playing like such a pussy (the kaidou manual). the reason nobody told him outright (at least not at first) is because they wanted him to figure it out for himself. it's like you guys need everything explained to you. |

| Well, this episode was more interesting than the last one at least since Toshi got his confidence back. Hmm. I'm not sure it he could make Triple A like Gorou did, but it would be interesting to see Taiga come over to America to join the Minors. I wonder how likely that is. I definitely think he could go pro. |

| don't get me wrong, toshi is interesting character, the problem of his appearance is that even without his overthinking and cautious attitude he isn't what made me hooked to major, goro isn't only better character than toshi but won't get failed in that kind of mistakes toshi did, and also i think it have something to do with the fact his team's pitcher isn't that good as goro (in fastballs), i mean, in comparison to goro they are pretty weak in this series, i understand the thing in showing the catcher/leading position but it's just stand out in the anime compared to fast games of goro. |
| Toshi finally gets it with playing it too safe (Kaido manual way) not being the way and that he has to take risks. Seems like I was wrong on the other catcher Tanabe but he could've been less awful about it as his 'You're not a pro' doesn't says shit. |

| First episode in the series up to this point where the players ACTUALLY COVER THEIR MOUTHS when they're talking to each other during a game. Been driving me crazy up to this point lmao. I guess the episode director for this one was finall like "why draw mouth flaps at all when we can just draw one mitt?" |
