No matter how silly Migi and Dali's tactics are, I have to admit that their determination is admirable. It's not easy to dig into the secrets of an important family but there they are, attempting to do so.

I do think the baby gimmick stuff made this episode made this more silly than it looked though.

I believe this information alone could be sufficient leverage against the family.

Dali continues to explore the Ichijo family. Migi, by perfectly portraying an infant, attempts to draw out the secrets of the Ichijo family. Migi successfully manages to embody a five-year-old, but suddenly, the conditioning program comes to an end, and the next day, they have to return to their normal family. Both of them are anxious that they won't be able to continue the search for the Ichijo family like this. However, they do not give up. There must still be something they can do tonight. After much thought, they come up with a plan to stir the emotions of the Ichijo family.

The mother chose not to breastfeed them. I'm not surprised by that revelation. I suppose it's either because she had an abortion (?) and therefore, this, or she wants to take care of an ideal, unintelligent baby because her kids are prodigies. There's hardly any gore or horror elements like monsters or serial killers, but I can't shake off this creepy feeling. Knowing the twins, this family's fate seems destined for a miserable and humiliating end.

It's getting quite intriguing. But how did they manage to disappear from their sight so quickly after the scissors were thrown?

Migi & dali finally might have a clue on who killed their mother and their suspicion comes to eiji. Let's see what steps they take next.

It's just medically impossible for Eiji to kill Metry, wasn't he like 4-5 years old when that happened?

I don't think it's that straightforward maybe he witnessed her getting killed by someone else....

This show is so damn wacky and dramatic at the same time.

Eiji's mom does conditioning programs whenever the father isn't around, by making them dress and act like babies.

Eiji's mom finds an intruder in the house, and immediately goes for scissors.

Eiji finds the ghost of a woman he allegedly killed, BUT he also wets himself at the same time.

Writers could only dream of balancing this level of insanity and humor at the same time.

This is how Bugs Bunny would do a murder mystery lmao. He would definitely dress up as the female murder victim and spook the suspects.

God fuckin' damn, this series somehow gets more deeply unsettling by the episode, while still getting laughs out of me! Too bad we're already at the half-way point of the series, but this is easily in my top 5 anime of the year. That post-credits scene too, god damn I'm hyped for the next episode. Also, what the hell happened to Micchan?! 😭

Alright, I enjoyed a lot this episode.
I didn't like how the previous two episodes took too many liberties with the story but now it looks like the series is going in the right direction again.

I love how the twin's experiences, attitudes, and skills keep getting further and further apart. I can't believe how far they took the baby routine. I just thank god that they didn't go as far as changing diapers.

Oh god it's been a while since I've watched an episode that's made me pause multiple times out of second-hand embarrassment, what was with that baby conditioning program shit. T-T This show is truly great at making me laugh at the most disturbing and out-of-pocket scenes.

Everything just suddenly got very intense. The number of times I held my breath is remarkable. I really thought they would get caught.
Although I think Eiji may have killed Metry by mistake somehow, but how he managed to cover it up is a big gap to fill.

I think Eiji is their half brother or something like that. He kind of looks like them and has blue eyes too. He must've definitely either killed her by mistake or witnessed her getting killed by someone else because i feel like he actually cared about her like his mother, and witnessing her dead must have traumatized him enough to wet the bed occasionally.

Nah, I think Eiji witnessed the murder and his mom did it. She went full nuts with those scissors because she maybe thought Metry somehow survived. Or maybe she wanted to kill the mistress that badly and it was an outsider who killed her.

Eiji probably either saw Metry's body or even witnessed her being killed but was likely too young to have done it the way she was killed.

Too ordinary for this show. Maybe it was another maid.

It is weirder than you think. You find similar things pushed by quack psychologists and probably also in old parenting books. One a few quacks pushed is called rebirthing which is replicate the birthing process which some kids and youth have died from it via accidental suffocation because it involves smothering them with pillows. I myself was expected to go through a routine of crawling on the floor as a kid by a tutor who claimed i must have not crawl enough as a baby so it gave me ADD.

The mystery gets deeper and deeper...

The Ichijou family is just insane. I have no idea how insane the mother and father are - as in how much of their insanity we've seen yet. They might just have an obsession with being the perfect family of Origon Village, but they might also be far worse.

As for Eiji, he's obviously not the killer. But perhaps a witness? Or maybe he's just obsessed with Metry (searching for "her" button for 7 years) and thinks he's imagining things.

Anyway, I'm relieved Migi and Dali got out of there and safely returned to the old couple. I have no idea what's up next but I can't wait to see it!

@traed Oh damn some people are truly messed up. I've heard of all kinds of crazy and disturbing cases from listening to podcasts, but it's always sad to hear someone's personal experiences in relation to these. Sorry you had to go through that.

It wasn't a big deal in my case since I wasn't exactly forced or humiliated me or anything it was pretty much similar to a military crawling exercise to my recall, it's just that even back then I knew the theory was bullshit but I did it anyway a few occasions. I just brought it up because I found it funny to remember that suddenly and it probably came out darker sounding than it was by previously mentioning something more serious. My bad.

Finally caught up with this series and wow, it's gotten creepier. Like others posters said, I also believe Eiji might have been just a witness to Metry's murder. The fact that the twins believe the Ichijo father might be their own dad was also shocking, would be pretty interesting if that's the case.

Damn, the Ichijos are secretive, yet subtle in their acsts...but where did the maid Mitsurugi go to?

Dali finding the hidden diorama of Origon Village, Migi still wants to weaken the Ichijos' defense...but can't exactly show him because they've made him into a baby toddler. Acting is essential to get the mother Reiko to talk, and Dali is speechless that he has to see his twin brother act as the perfect toddler, but this creates the perfect plan that both brothers will drive the truth behind the family out. Testing Eiji and the rest of the family, Dali soon realizes that Migi is growing close to suspicion and passes their correction program...to be sent back home to the Sonoyamas early.

As an attempt to do what they can before leaving the Ichijos' tomorrow, the twin brothers go through their facts from their investigation...and decided to aim for the father instead, having him be tested of his dead wife Metry...that's only Migi in disguise. That alone shows that their father is not responsible and but only their mother's mistress, and decided to test the mother instead...which by her scream alone, is enough evidence that their mother's killer is indeed the Ichijos' mother. But Dali winded up meeting Eiji when he was about to check on his mother...and saw a ghost instead. Does this mean that Eiji is responsible...?

Nevertheless, Migi made it back to the Sonoyamas...and got the recuperating treatment from the husband and wife. This pretend play is scary...

Another okay episode.

This episode pretty much killed any logic the plot may have had. And this, ON TOP of moments that defied the possible.

How can you still care when actors again and again make extremely stupid choices exactly when they shouldn't, ignoring all common sense? You cannot. It becomes a farce at this point. Like the author rubbing his incompetence or disinterest in the faces of the audience.

On the other hand, a lot of nonsense humor made its entrance. If the story cannot be taken seriously anymore, at least it made me laugh.
