Welp, it was rather rushed but I still enjoyed the ending. At least it was a realistic one.

should've 2 volume long, 3 at most. unnecessary complicated and repetitive, the ending also kinda lame. shame since it has interesting premise. 5/10.

@owomachine what do you mean by realistic? literally none their personal issue fixed, they just decide to live with it, let other family had their issue, and not breaking family apart over it, THAT'S IT.

Exactly. There wasn't a magical fix to their problems. That only happens in dreams. In the end they wake up to the reality and kept living with their problems like a normal family in an environment like that, just like Gramps said. Though my man Sota came back.

Better than having a "we realized that if we treat each other nicely like we used to in the dream everything would be fixed. Also Dad got his office job back, Mom no longer has to deal with bills, Sota became a professional photographer and Gramps no longer has Alzheimers." kind of ending.

@owomachine but they STILL have issue that break their family apart to begin with. if it's still there, how their family keep being together?

Well, they did come to an understanding with each other in the last chapters. I doubt they will break apart now. Or they might each go their own ways instead of struggling together. That's okay too. That's how life is.

I'm glad it had a happy ending. I prefer an ending more of this vibe where they accept each other, flaws and all, and still carry on as a family.

However, it also feels very, very mildly rushed. I think I was expecting one final, major revelation—the kind that this author is known for, like in Takopi. The beginning of the manga was emotionally surprising and intense; Tsubasa's writing in his room, Shiori getting picked up by an older man, the mom almost committing a kidnapping, etc. I had hoped there would be an ending that wrapped things up in a similarly powerful intensity.

Regardless, I genuinely loved this manga. Even when some people got annoyed with some of the twists, I was gung ho for the things that happened and what came next. I absolutely adore the dynamic drawing style of this mangaka; his weird camera angles and facial expressions lend to so much emotion and suspense. I'm really looking forward to his next work.

So the weekly plot twists are finally over. They had a dream and then they moved on.

Overall I liked this. It was fun reading and theorizing with people every week and this series was a brain twister. I often could not predict what was going to happen and enjoyed the surprises. I like how it went full circle with the accidents and they all learned something and progressed but will never be perfect and thats okay. Family is not perfect but don't give up on them. Good night sweet prince, I am eagerly awaiting your next series.

@Kuma The difference now is they are choosing to stay together. They have a better understanding of each other and accept their flaws. Being perfect and living happily ever after is a dream but the bonds they share are real and stronger.

It's definitely a bit of a let down, but I still liked enough of it for a 7. It's just a pity it couldn't keep the tighter writing from the early chapters. It might've been a classic otherwise

I hope he sticks to short series. That's series that are meant to be short btw, not short because they got axed.

@Kuma

Maybe this is just small thing but they talking to each other, so letting things vent instead holding everything to the breaking point... I could easily read another 40 chapters of them solving their issues in real life but it is what it is.
Like Mom said, they had crappy car insurance and there was no one in home who could pick up package from delivery guy. Especially that package part for me hitted hilariously close to home.

Okay, I enjoyed this actually. The best parts were the start and the end. I liked the ending because everything didn't just get magically solved, but they are definitely on better terms than before.

takopi was better, this one felt like the author didnt know what to do with the story or how he wanted it to end so he kept on looping it.

almost a plot twist every single chapter, sign me up for more mind fuckery. earlier chapters were definitely better but it's a decent enough ending where shit doesn't get fixed magically and life just goes on. with the amount of loops, did get a bit repetitive at times but i'm all for it. my biggest problem was the amount of crying but eh, at least it's still better than takopii. i had no idea this ended until a few days ago though, should've followed this as it released.

Good ending to close all the mind-boggling twists.

What I understood by reading this is that a family can have problems, you just gotta deal with them, running away isn't going to solve all your problems. Let's end this with a quote from this chapter, "Nothing will change, but even so we'll keep on going".
“There are only two types of people in the world--those who became otaku and those who didn't--and the latter just can't understand what the former is so excited about."--Ono Norihiro

So who exactly WAS shuta, tsubasa says he must have known him if he was in his dream but its never actually explained at all how or from where he knows him from. It all feels a bit rushed; sure in the dream it all worked out but she's still actually going out with him and tsubasa just... doesn't mind???

Sure lets just say he spyed on her just like in the dream... he never talks her outnof it like in the dream so i guess he just okay now with her going out with that creepy ass dude...???

This story was too repetitive to just end with they finally starting to communicate, and I feel they hinted something from each character that never got brought up again because it was better to keep with the dream loop until the it was basically the end and there's no chance to say anything besides the "we have a bond ;p life's go on".
But it was funny how every character would start bawling at the slightly things lol.

I think I can summarize my thoughts on this manga in this way:

-This premise is interesting and the art is unique I'll give it a chance
-So each family member is gonna have its own arc, not bad
-oh, I guess not..... Seems like the author was watching Little Busters and wanted an edgier version.
-Ok this kenta and souta BS is dragging too much.
-and its over.

Ummmm.

Pretty defeatist ending and kinda underwhelming compared to the strong start, but I kinda like how Kozo has a subtle smile on his face on the final panel.

Takopi left a bigger impact but this’ll still be memorable for the millions of times Tsubasa woke up alone

It wasn't bad to begin with, so it wasn't perfect, but it had potential. But the sections began to roll downhill ahead.
The characters overreacting to every little thing and their drama was terrible, none of the characters were realistic and they werw so superficial, not to mention the terrible story plot and pacing + finale...
Also, what happened to the guy Shiori was dating?(mc was wondering why he was in the loops even though he said he had never seen that guy before) I think the only thing that made me read to the end was that guy, but did I miss the answer or was it not mentioned?
(I must admit, I skimmed over most of the dialogue towards the end)
