I'm hoping Shinn gets a decent amount of screentime, I wanna see at least some semblance of a redemption arc for the character cause he got fucked over royally in his own series.

Jizzy as you would call yourself because youre a dick The most butthurt award goes to you And clearly you havent watched that many shows thats why you cant determine if a show is unique or not Or maybe you're just a child who likes common stuffs where hero saves the day and guys gets all the girls. Sad taste you have there kid you came up to me in the first place making you look more like a kid who got slapped without me even knowing it and start crying about it to me

They're going to talk about the space dinosaurs. They should've called this movie Shinn's counterattack. Anyway, as much as I dislike Gundam Seed this could be great if it wasn't about Lacus and Kira. But, the visual teaser and the teaser trailer leave little room for hope of that. Like maybe question Kira's actions in the last series even a bit. Maybe it's called freedom because Kira finally realizes his feelings for Athrun.

fujioshi and yuri practically tore the gundam fandom apart, and probably got half the fandom banned on the message boards. Every AU just keeps on adding more toxicity to the gundam fandom, but WfM turn the toxicity up to 50.
I welcome this with open arms and do not wish for more toxic western fans from newer aus bashing older aus, especially /u/ hijacking the fanbase to send death threats to the non-shippers or straight shippers.

Funny how you're saying all of this about other people, all while you can't even take a joke. Kind of curious about how any of this is even relevant to the discussion at hand.

Every au other than wing or seed was more or less a flop. This is why you don't see many kits for them. Also new aus feed into a toxic fandom where new fans disrespect older fans and shows. Never pander to modern audiences. I can at least know that the gundam fandom is no longer under siege by modern audiences

Modern fans? I'm not exactly a new fan myself, however that's kind of irrelevant. Maybe you could at the very least add entries older than Iron Blooded Orphans on your list before talking about "people disrespecting the franchises older fans". From Looking at your list you are the modern audience.

Modern audiences didn't turn up to buy the g-witch kits just like the 2015 audience didn't turn up to buy IBO kits. They need to stop wasting resources churning out subpar products that no one is asking for.. That is more au garbage. It is clear cut the audience is into Universal Century and Cosmic Era (which is heavily based on UC).

I always wonder why some people care about Bandai's financial stability, like it's connected to you in any way. You haven't even added Gundam Seed to your list, which kind of tells how much you care about the series.

C.E doesn't even understand what UC Gundam is about. As primarily showcased by Kira pulling out a Gundam from his basement, when Zeta Gundam the thing that Gundam Seed Destiny is trying to be made fun of the entire idea. "Amuro tell me that you've got a Gundam in the basement or something" (Katz). "But Gundam Seed isn't 'AU garbage', it's a remake!". It trying to be an unofficial remake must make it good by default?

But again I advise that you create a thread topic about your opinions if you desperately want someone to hear you out, who knows someone might even agree with you. You might make new friends this way. Although I suppose there's a rule against creating X vs Y topics.

But hey, you can't possibly even be a Gundam fan in the first place: because you didn't watch UC Gundam when it first came out. None of the "western" "fans" did! You're not one of those original few female fans the show had before they started producing plastic kits.

But hey as a person who clearly has a high regard for authority, maybe you'd rather take Tomino's or YAZ's opinions on the newer shows. Though I doubt they'd have any problem with the aspects of homosexuality, which clearly seems to be a linchpin for you responding to me in the first place. seeing as how keen they have been to include themes of homoeroticism or homosexual characters in their own work, I'd hardly doubt they'd take your side without seeming just a tad bit hypocritical.

Edit* And hey I'll just prove your entire point about Gundam not being for "modern audiences" wrong, while I'm at it. I'll just use UC Gundam as an example because you looove UC Gundam so much. Do you have any idea what Tomino UC Gundam is essentially about? It's about the next generation, the entire franchise is essentially about Greta Thunberg's in Gundam's trying to save the world. I think I also remember Tomino saying, that his target audience are not the people watching now, not even the current Gundam fans but those under the age of 10. Environmental change isn't exactly a relevant topic to those over the age of 50. Why do you think that most Gundam villains are old people or those continuing the legacy of old people who used to be in power?

Edit number 2* Fun fact even Gundam Seed had a lesbian character Hilda Harken was revealed to be a lesbian in the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed HD-Remaster bluray box 4's bonus video! Yeah this is a bit of a petty point but still. Kind of not related but I own the Japanese version of the series, I found the set while thrift shopping once.

I’m so hyped for this! And can’t believe it’s back!! I just a couple of weeks ago I get back to the openings and planned a rewatch of the whole series (after rewatch wing). I really miss Gundam, couldn’t pass like episode 6 of Mercury Witch. It’s not bad, it’s just meh.

It only needs to be “good” to have me happy. Something like the last SAO movie: not extraordinary but definitely worth the watch.

I know I’m wishing too much: but please a world wide release

I wonder who's going to be the enemy here. Story seemed complete, with Earth and ZAFT being at peace. Is there going to be a new faction? Or perhaps some traitors or rebels from within? Well, they can always make something up and of course every major character is going to receive a new version of existing mech, including Freedom Gundam.

Oh wow, now this is interesting, here I was expecting/hoping Bandai will finally focus more on the second Hathaway movie after G-witch. But I'm willing to see how Bandai will honour the late Morosawa, I'm willing to let Bandai cook.

There was a stage greeting on January 28, and an announcement was made that the movie will be released in 56 countries and regions outside of Japan.

The content was better than I had imagined, so if you like SEED, I hope you'll enjoy it in theaters.

@kihel Oh that's great. I was starting to wonder if this movie was going to get a Western release along with an English dub.

Did they mention a specific release for the Gundam Seed Movie?

@AddaeAkono

Only the number of countries where the movie will be released was announced. I think there is a possibility that the release date will be different in different countries like in the case of "How Do You Live?

Since the movie opened on January 26, I think the release date for other countries will be announced later. The number of countries where the film will be released was announced on the 28th, which I thought was rather early.
