Well, Elda has an interesting taste in games.

Also, Elda going out and shopping was kinda cute especially in that outfit. She kinda looks old fashioned though.

Koyuzu. <3 She was so adorable in this episode. It's nice that she got more screen time.

Lol at drunken Akane. What a hilarious segment.

Aww, Elda got her Golden Frog Panzer after all. She was soo happy.

"Thus, the elf was pampered by everyone yet again today."

Indeed.

Well that surely is a nice home assignment she got from school, its also a perfect fit for Elda, as she's basically our resident great grandma wit all the knowledge.

Anyway, as the home assignment turned out to be a sham, i got an answer, for a question i was pondering for some time ... isnt the little sister super lonely all the time ? We haven't seen any of her friends, the legendary grandpa is nowhere to be found, and Koito is constantly babysitting Elda.

Koyuzu is so mature it is easy to forget she is just a kid, nice to see her spending some quality time with Koito, it was so sweet to see everyone be in cahoots so Elda would get her golden figure.

Elda's really loved by her parishioners lol And they love to indulge her every whim, especially since they know she doesn't like venturing outside the shrine much, so it was a treat to see her shopping around collecting those stamps lol

Me encanta como todos quieren a Elda. Si ella se diera cuenta, quizás podría vencer su fobia social.

they changed amazon, uber eats, and IKEA so they probably get Monster to sponsor them as well
now the actual question are, how tf they get both of them?

Koyuzu wanting to make apple pie, but seeing that her older sister is quite busy, she chooses to delay her response of getting research on the elderly about games. And no one is more qualified than Elda to discuss about this topic, though she'll prefer Monster Energy if Red Bull isn't available lols. Games in the Edo era were much more simplified, but the modern-day abbreviations of origami always come to mind. But this is not the end...for sugar, water and soap create the mxture for soap bubbles, which they had some ample fun with. Koyuzu then coming up with the pretense that she lied just to spend time with Koito, regardless of the fancy fabrication, it was a feeling long lost for the connection between siblings.

Elda trying to acquire her frog figurines, only to get lost within Shibuya...thankfully it's a dream. The fancy gold frog tank in 5th place while the trip to Hawaii is 1st, it's the usual raffle stamp rally participation within a street, and Elda walking in public has Koito warned about her presence, though in her time, it's all delivered to her through street merchants, the Uber Eats way. The stamp raffle gets underway, and they've racked up 4 out of 5 stamps to complete the rally. Ending the day with monjya, Koito and Elda wanting to eat some at Kado's place, but is stopped by her friend Akane being a drunk in broad daylight. The thing is, Akane entered too much that she kept missing the 1st prize, and winning the Frog Tank that Elda wanted so much.

Hah, having parishioners watch over both Elda and Koito to make sure that only the 5th place prize is drawn, and indeed it came out for her, with the actual fact being that both Akane and Kado requested for it. Oh well, another round of pampering is that a job done.

A roundabout way that still works.

I understand that Shintoism is strongly intertwined with the Japanese mentality and traditions, but how much do all the people of Tokyo righteously believe in Elda? It feels like this is not Tokyo, but some kind of remote city of cultists from classic Japanese horror.

This episode was sweet! I'm glad this episode didn't write around being able to show of the Edo lore and more about the funny side of Elda and her friends. I don't mind the history lessons, but I prefer them come up as a side note in a solid main plot, like today.

I think it's not Tokyo as a whole, but only Tsukishima in particular.

A very fun episode this time. I can relate to the first half of the episode. I have an older brother who's 3 years older than me. We used to play together all the time, cycling, playing in the river, looking for grasshopper, we even played those miniclip games together; only he likes racing games and I don't. But then he had to go to a boarding school for his junior year and I never realized just how fun spending time with him was. When he left, the house felt quiet, I got no one to talk to after school, and I played with toys by myself. Visiting him about once a month was something I looked forward to. We're both adults, I look back on those days nostalgically and I would be lying if I said I don't want to spend more time with him even now.  On that note, if Koito is 16 years old and Koyozu is about 10, how were they playing house together? Unless, Koito was still playing house after grade school. I don't know if that's common or not, someone please tell me.

The second half is fun, seeing Elda interact more with the outside world. She looks really tall standing next to Koito, but doesn't look that taller from Kadoi, if she's even any taller.

I think it's not Tokyo as a whole, but only Tsukishima in particular.
Anyway, the way people reacted to her, especially in the ending, gave me some creepy vibes. Especially in the context of the Japanese love for premise "city of crazy cultists" in J-Horror.

Another sweet episode, this time presenting a focus on Koyuzu, Koito's younger sister. It's so cute that aside from Koyuzu's commendable housekeeping diligence and maturity for her age, she still seeks to have some quality time with her older sister, spending time with her through traditional past times as shared by Elda.

Also we get to see another day-out by Elda, trying to collect stamps so she could draw lots and win her sought after piece for her frog-tank collection. Touching to see her doting believers wishing her the best and also making sure her experience going outside is a very pleasant one.

I wouldn't blame them. Elda is a god to them so seeing her roaming the street of course they want to see lol.

It was nice to see Koyuzu get some screen time as she hasn't had much before. Even though she acts like an adult she is still a kid and misses hanging out with Koito. Hopefully Koito sets some time aside to spend with her sister so that she won't have to make up a lie to hang out again.

The second half with Elda collecting stamps was entertaining. At first I thought it was luck that she got the black ball for the golden frog until it is revealed that the 2 girls from the restaurant had it fixed so that Elda would win. The community sure likes to pamper Elda.

If you knowingly had an ancient elf living in your town wouldnt you act similar even if you thought she was a wordly being although an extraordinary one? She's essentially a local celebrity and because she has this otherworldly lifespan even if people didnt think she was a kami they still would see her as a good luck charm. It only feels weird because you're imagining things from the perspective of someone being observed because the idea of a whole town just watching you from afar is offputting but here they really are just trying to be considerate for Elda because everyone there knows what she is like due to living there for some long.

I'm sorry, but the shot of Elda blowing bubbles illuminated by the afternoon sun at the end of the episode's first half (the one with Koyuzu) has gotta be one of the most beautiful-looking things I've seen in all of anime.

that was adorable how people secretly prayed for elda and how the two made sure she got the golden frog since she actually collected the stamps
also that frame of elda blowing bubbles and looking over at the sisters was quite something.
