What a weird decision for a ending, why was Eko not brought back. Kinda unfair that everyone can live their lifes to the end but not her xD

Also what about Gugus gf, should have brought her back if possible. I can only imagine Gugu was bored asf.

I feel like it really takes away of bringing the chars back in the first place, should have left them dead tbh.

Compared to season 1 this season is like paradise. There weren't any emotional deaths that affected me too much and would honestly rewatch it if i felt so. The former made me cry like a lil bitch so i held off watching the new season until it finished airing but it seems like i made a mistake. The last episode finished it greatly so i have no complaints on that.

It ended quite well, I think the story could've ended here even. The resurrection power was something I criticized a lot, but it was handled well and there was a cap on it.

Overall it was a pretty good season, it wasnt as impactful as Gugu arc but it definitely had a more complex plot than season one and the payoffs were good. Honestly didn't think it would end in a satisfactory way, but I was wrong. 8/10.

Man what a season. I've completely enjoyed this masterpiece of an anime. I can't wait to see more, I might just have to start reading the manga. I do like the happy ending, it fits to the finale of the pain and suffering that has happened throughout the 2 seasons. My only concern is a happy ending truly feels like an end to all problems so idk how next season will show more plot and conflict but I'll leave it at that. And finally I'll say that the church of Bennett got off easy with them making their own demise and Fushi not getting his get back. Personally I wouldn't let that slide.

And thus the suffering ends, albeit momentarily while we wait for season three.

Props to Kahaku man. He wasn't the best, but at least he went out happy. Though I wonder if he'll be revived later.

Seeing the ending and how everyone loved their lives was nice. MARCH!!

Though I'm surprised the roots haven't been cut down. At least from that we know that they aren't in America, lol.
Modern era huh. It'll be fun seeing how they'll have to readjust to the future. Since so much time has passed, the Nokkers surely must have evolved quite a lot too cause it's all fun and game until Fushi pulls up with an AK-47.

Either way, this is a fantastic season. Kinda felt slow and monotonous in the beginning, but definitely picked up the pace in the later half. Ah, the emotions. 😢
Graduated High School in May of 2022. Summer vacation has finally arrived. I have once again regained the power of a new anime fan, being able to watch multiple anime episodes in a day. Time to binge-watch every single anime I can into the night until college arrives. SADGE. SUPER SADGE... College has begun as of Monday, August 30, 2022, so you won't be seeing me much around these parks. See you on weekends, I guess... School me is back. Sigh! I'll at least try for one anime a day with all this course load.

I wonder how many thousands of years it took Fushi to cover the entire world with his roots.
It was a bit weird that his roots still remain everywhere in the modern era and no one seems to be bothered by them or trying to remove them. As if that would ever happen in the real world...

Anyway, I think this season was a bit inferior to the first, though after the battle with the Nokkers started it kind of redeemed itself.
So Fushi basically turned into god. They might not be omnipotent (yet) but they're clearly omnipresent and also omniscient, since they can sense everything via those roots. 2 out of 3 god requirements checked.

Is that what Mister Black is? A god who wants to retire?

I suppose a few more Nokkers must remain in the modern era, unless the modern era enemy is a different one.
We shall see.

8/10 as a whole.

p.s. Did anyone else notice that Kahaku's deep dive into the molten iron was clearly inspired by -or was a homage to- the ending of Alien 3? The scenes were almost identical, with some minor differences.
Both Ellen Ripley and Kahaku took a dive into a molten iron and they both had a parasitic alien thingy inside them.

They both sacrificed themselves to kill the thing though for different reasons. The main difference was that Kahaku was loaded with explosives, since he also wanted to kill the Bennet high priests to protect Fushi. When I saw Kahaku standing above the molten iron pit in the preview of the previous episode I correctly predicted he was going to pull an Ellen Ripley.

This was the perfect conclusion for this arc.

Wonder if a Season 3 will really be worth it after this ?

Great finale. Kohaku sacrificed himself to rid the world of Bennett, and allow the final forms to return to Fushi. Curious what becomes of Eko? She's the only one not to be returned form ghost form. I guess we'll find out in season 3. 8.5/10.

After the disappointing shitty last few episodes, we finally get a decent episode and I sure enjoyed this one, this season is still a disappointing trainwreck and I'm glad this shit is finally over. I already talked a lot about my disappointment in the past few episodes so I will keep it short, this season is meh, I will probably watch S3 but I won't be expecting much from this crap anymore, this anime has never been the same since the first 12 episodes of S1, almost everything after it was disappointing, it does have a couple of good episodes here and there but overall, I'm disappointed by it.

I will end this crap with a rating of:

5/10

I can't even imagine what will be there in the third season. Unfortunately, I can guess it won't be pleasant. I mean if there were pleasant events ahead, there would have been an extra episode, not a third season. Anyway, I'm looking forward to it.
If you are going to disagree with me, don't bother talking to me. I will seriously hurt you!

The mid season was peak with the church and Fushi evolution, but the ending is interesting, let's see how it work out in modern era peace (and why did he cut his domain at the end ???)

I do want to say one thing. Immortality can be terrifying, and the Church did awful things in the past. That moment could've had more impact in my opinion, Fushi could've been more marked by the moment as well and we could've assisted to some horrors made only by a religious organization during the medieval times.

At the beginning it was a bit off, but the ending episodes were great and it closed off with a happy ending. I needed that reunion after so many partings in the 1st season.

Sooo I preferred season 1 characters, but I enjoyed more this season I think, at least I couldn't stop watching and had to continue, episode after episode, compared to the slow paced season 1 where I wasn't as much obsessed on the anime. But maybe it's in a bad way, because of all these cliffhanger and every episode end... It was probably too much artificial but it caught me anyway.

This episode totally confused me. Why in the hell would he resurect everyone to tell them to fuck off? And then they just live their lives (forced to anyway)? If I understand correctly March, and later Gougou, refuses that and suicides near him? That's kinda crap..
He could've done the job he attributed himself and then resurect them

What happened to Palona? we see his nokker die from Gougou I believe, but Fushi doesn't transform into her even once.
Also we don't see her ghost, does it mean she left and considered her life finished? After being murdered? That's kinda weird to do without an explanation 🤔
Maybe she had enough but her duty that she felt toward March was so strong so it's very surprising.

And what about Lynn?

I think I don't like the jump in 21 century. I would've preferred a setup earlier, 1500~1950, or later, 2100+.

I'm surprised this isn't the end since Fushi is a god now. Kahaku was the best character, he was pretty much a male version of Hayase at first but gradually turned into the most interesting character. Was kinda funny how characters from more than 200 years ago easily adapted to their new surroundings. I wanted to see how The Nameless Boy from the first season would react to Fushi but I guess thats for season 3. I hope that Hayase's descendants/reincarnations will return in the future.

Happy endings are always unbelievably based af...is what I was going to say until I came to this thread and see people talking about S3. Like everything seems pretty much wrapped up now with an exception of loose ends pertaining the observer.
I really want to see Gugu and Rean end up together. And if possible, I want to see the people who helped Fushi in his journey throughout to be all together once again in S3.

I really enjoyed this series. It takes a special level of creativity to offer a novel plot with a god-like character who doesn't really match anything I've seen or read about before. Fushi exhibits a level of empathy for humans one wouldn't expect with someone with his capabilities. I felt like this episode was a great bookend for the plot. I'm interested to see Fushi in a modern future where spirituality is nearly dormant for most folks. FYI I put a 3 month supporter gift in my profile, first person to click it gets it :D

Initially, I thought this season was going to be a disappointment. But, once the show got into its groove around Episode 8 or so, it just reached a new level and continued all the way through. Got a little teary eyed in this concluding episode too, and a wild teaser at the very end!

March being euthanised didn’t seem too cool a choice for me, not going to lie. I’m surprised Fushi didn’t reincarnate Rean and make the reunion with Gugu a thing either, that arc left an impression on me in Season 1, so I couldn’t help but wonder why. Kahaku took himself out with the nokker which means she must’ve returned with a couple others…

Hey, at least he brought Prince Bon back, I was starting to feel for his wife and adopted kid before the transition. Looks like it took until 2024 to get full access to the world, lol. Can’t wait to see some of the characters returning and what S3’s going to be all about. Kind of feels like the end of the show already in many ways, I wonder what’s left to adapt. If it can address the two points I mentioned above, I welcome with open arms.

Relatively fewer tragic deaths this season. I was quivering on many occasions on whether some characters would’ve been taken out all of a sudden and while that was the case here and there, it’s good to know the situation was brought under control in flying colours.

A few production blips I noticed occasionally but honestly, I thought the audiovisual experience as a whole was more than good enough. Reusing Op 1, that’s become like a symbol of the series but I’m guessing they’ll change it for the next season since it’ll be covering a different era? Who knows, I’m curious.

Going to settle with an 8/10! Enjoyed this slightly lesser overall mostly because of the start but there wasn’t too much to separate the two, I believe.

Fushi ended up becoming the God of his world practically or reached that level to one day replace the black lord. It was a bit sad that March didn't agree to live a normal life without Fushi (sad) and that Fushi didn't revive everyone either, he even chose not to revive Echo at the time, that felt too bad. However, now we come to the modern age, a new era, where Fushi will surely have created a religion for humanity, just like the Abrahamic God. In this new world he will bring all his friends back to life just as he promised. But will it really be a paradise? I'm very intrigued to know who the enemy will be now, possibly it's time to show more about Mr. Black
