A rather heart warming episode. Nami sure shouldered quite a bit with her mother gone and a little sister to raise. It's one of those situations where your childhood is cut a bit short due to unforeseen circumstances.

I was a bit worried this weeks episode might be weak, since it went away from the Dark precure/Cure Moonlight storyline, but it was really enjoyable.

Oh, and I hope everyone wished their mother a happy Mothers Day.

Boring when Nami wasn't on-screen, but her storyline went better than I expected. It'd be great if we could see her and the heroines chilling at their club in the future. Especially with more Itsuki next ep, I want to see the whole club thing be more important.

One of the better heart warming I have seen recently. Nami is a fairly great character add to the cast and they better keep her on-screen more.

Non-main stories are really well written.

Next week is more of Tsubomi's yuri crush on Itsuki.

Geh, it's these kinds of situations that make me cringe from the sadness in their heart.
I loved the ending but hate it when such sad things fall into place. It's definitely my favorite episode.

Having seen and enjoyed the entire series this episode stands out in my mind. It is without a doubt the best filler episode.

LMAO

When those two villains got into each others way and were mimicking each other they were so funny. WehN Tsubomi gasped "Eh!" at Nanami's and the kid's bargain her reaction was hilarious too. I like how she can't refuse lol.

Even thougit was "jus"t a Monster of the Week episode, it was probably one of the best episodes so far.
The story of the 2 sisters was very emotional.

I have a soft spot for stories of this sort when they're done well. I teared up throughout the episode.

Man, what a tearjerker! Lots of really emotional moments. I can't believe this is a kid's show, it does drama so well, but never ceases to be colourful, fun and optimistic as well! This show deserves to be dubbed and distributed all over the world, to be seen by everyone! It is criminally underwatched.

If this quality keeps up, between these awesome "fillers" and epic story episodes, Heartcatch Precure might become one of my favorites.

Very sad and emotional episode.

Nanami joined the fashion club. That's nice because she's an interesting character.

Well...that was real. Similar to the couples' episode, the shrouding of Rumi's and Nami's mother's portrait was pretty simple, but effective. Rumi was too young to remember anything about her mother, and Nami had forgotten things about her mother, so their mothers' face wasn't shown in full to reflect this. However, by the end of the episode, Nami remembered her mother's words, and Rumi remembered she still had her family, as well as herself, as reasons to be happy. This revealed their mothers' face in the portrait, and resolved the episode's drama.

I don't recall if Precure had ever dealt with death before, much less the death of an immediate family member. This is a pretty harsh episode for kids, but it's nonetheless effective in aiming for an optimistic, uplifting message of not giving up. I appreciate that sentiment.

Re-picked up this series after pausing it due to not being super interested, and here comes the first MOTW episode after picking it back up. Honestly, I'm not a fan of episodes where they just explored the problems of some random one episode character. So I'm glad this episode was about their classmate. Extremely mature episode surprisingly, dealing with the loss of a family member and being denied a normal school life. I also really like Naminami, really cute and fun character. I also like how while she's mature, she still acts her age by not being immune to breakdowns.

One thing I find interesting was that her heart flower was fully black. But sealed up in a cage. I'm assuming this means she has been feeling emotional pain for a long time but unable to let any of it out.

Definitely, it's actually super relatable. Clashing into someone and then moving one side, only to have them follow and repeating this back and forth awkwardly.

Like other comments have pointed out, heartwarming episode. I'm curious how it impacted the relationships of kids who watched this with their parents. This show may be for kids but it's not afraid to tackle mature topics and still send a message. Although personally I disagree with the "smile through everything" message. I feel a message like "its ok to cry, but be sure to get back up" would be better. Keeping everything stored up inside and forcing a fake smile is extremely stressful.
