Prushka lunch box is such a funny way to put it lmao, but thats definitely my choice. I was huffing copium the whole time I was watching, just hoping for her to somehow be alive, and to come running to the crew with that cheerful attitude and wonderful smile. Then that scene happens, that was.. rough…. There’s a scene coming up soon in this season that made me sadder than anything else so far, but it wasn’t necessarily “dark” per se.

Pruska got tortured in her last moments, because of her fathers greed for power. She wanted to go on adventures with Riko and the others.
I will also admit that the miscarrage and all that was tragic, but her children also died shortly after - as I have understood it. Since Irumyuui did not understand how babies are born or made for that sake - they were doomed to perish.
However Bondrewd is truly something else.... much worse than Wazukyan
Tragic would be the word I would use for Irumyuui's children and horricfic is the word I would use for Pruska's case....

Yeah I agree, Wazukyan made a lot of extremely difficult and gross decisions, but they were all needed in order to help the group survive, and to allow the possibility to explore again. Bondrewd is just straight up bat shit insane, driven mad from the artifacts he uses and whatever he had to go through for the white whistle, and he genuinely believes what he is doing is right. That’s about as horrifying as it gets. Now technically with his whole “moving into the next 2000 years” motive, you could say he’s just doing what he needs to do to survive, but I think they are obviously different situations.

Tie between miscarriage soup and elevator ride for me. I guess Bondrewd's fun elevator takes the win just because it's more graphic while the village origins is more about the implications being brutal rather than the visuals.

Everytime the author takes the time to insert his weird, creepy fetishes, telling me about pee, poo or Anus, is pretty horrific to me.

Riko's botched amputation definitely.
Her VA delivered so much misery and anguish in that scene. She deserves an Oscar.

Riko's poisoned arm probably wasn't the most disturbing one, nevertheless it's left the biggest impact on me. I'd started watching MiA full aware of all the disturbing stuff, but man, hearing Riko's bones shattering and seeing her bloodshot eyes definitely had me on the edge of my seat. Not to mention it was Nanachi's debut. That scene just screamed 'We ain't fucking around, kids'.

Not technically a miscarriage but yeah that was by far the most disturbing bit for me.

The names are killing me, so accurate xD!

I think the elevator ride holds a special place in my heart because it was one of the first (Riko getting poisoned happened first but it wasn't as impactful).

Prushka lunch box has got to be the most painful/terrifying though. Although I guess for Mitty the after-effects of the elevator ride really are the most painful/terrifying...she was immortal and still going through pain and suffering and least Prushka seems kinda happy as a whistle lol.

Definitely the origins of the village and the miscarriage soup(lol). But the others like Riko's amputation and Lunch Box: Prushka Special are not far behind either.

bruh, I came into this series blind, only knowing that it had rave reviews but no knowledge of content, I'm hooked but fuck me this is some existential crisis fuel. still love it though

Riko getting poisoned was a really rough one, as someone who went to the series blind that scene really hit so hard...

But in overall, imo Bondrewd elevator. He sends a lot of children to suffer in such an horrifying way... and Prushka is related to that, so i would say that both of them I guess.

Nice naming sense for the options lol.

Irumyuui & village backstory >= Prushka & others boxed imo. Both are quite ahead of the rest.

I didn't find the Irumyuui scene that disturbing (maybe because I was sleepy when I saw it)

This whole series is like "What if Mushishi just took place in literal hell?" Oh Ginko's hair turned white and he lost his memories because of the mushi? How about if it made him immortal but also turned him inside out so he could spend 1000 years screaming? Sound like fun?

On topic though, Prushka's story is devastating and so maliciously inflicted. Everything Bondrewd did/does is so evil but Prushka really got a terrible end.

Still the elevator ride. I was braced for Season 2 impact, but I think that the children weren't antropomorphic saved me a bit.
