Oh no worries, I reply super late myself sometimes! Like now haha. I meant to write back a lot sooner, but I saving it for the right time and completely forgot >.< Hope you've been doing well!
Ahh I can relate to that, whenever I watch one or two double cour shows it gets a bit stressful trying to keep up with everything. But I'm trying to learn to balance them better and pick less shows to watch. If there are more I wanna check out, I could just do it later.
Omg Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai ended up being my favourite spring show! It was so great and had one of the best plot twists ever. But aside from that, I also loved Girls Band Cry, Jellyfish Can't Swin in the Night, Bartender remake, Train to the end of the world, Wind Breaker and Kaiju No 8. So yeah, lots of great shows in spring haha.
But I agree, A Condition Called Love wasn't to my liking either. Hotaru was a nice character and even a bit relatable, but Hananoi was a huge red flag. Whenever he did something nice, he'd turn creepy after. Such a disappointing show :(
Oh, I didn't know Frieren manga was on hiatus! Maybe it's a good thing I didn't start it yet haha. But a second season was announced, yay! I'm so excited :D
Akane-banashi is bound to get an anime sooner or later. I'm probably gonna wait a bit and see, but if not, I want to read the manga too!
Oh so the sequel to Blade of the Immortal is not fully translated yet?
I've stopped reading Real a few years ago, but I do plan to get back to it one day and read it from the beginning. I think I couldn't appreciate it well enough at the time, so I'm giving it a second chance in the future. It's among my brother's favourite manga and he always tells me to pick it up again xD
Yeah, Garzey's Wing is all about the dub! If you watch it in Japanese is no fun at all xD But the dub is gold, literally one of the funniest I've heard. Highly recommend if you want to have fun with a dumb show lol.
Witch Hat Atelier is getting an anime!! If they put the same care into adapting it as they did with Frieren, it's definitely a potential AOTY imo :D
And Houseki no Kuni ended! I can't believe Phos' story is finally over. It's a bit bittersweet now that there are no more chapters though :(
What are your favourite fall seasonals btw? And which ones are you the most excited about in the next season? I'm honestly super hyped for Toilet Bound Hanako-kun, since I've been waiting for a new season for years! It looks like winter season is gonna have soo many interesting shows :o
Yes, my cat is doing fine now! She is very healthy again. I apologize for taking this long to reply too, but I'll try to make my messages shorter, so it's easier for us to respond. Again, I hope life's been treating you well!
Ahh I see, just assumed you'd be using a computer. Well, I mostly use my phone/tablet too and using the notes is so much easier imo! I don't use the Mal app though, because I didn't like it but it's been a while since I've tried it.
Oh, I was hoping to watch Yuru Camp and Hibike Euphonium before the spring season starts, but it's okay. I'm keeping them for later too haha.
But woah, that's a lot of shows! For me, Dungeon Meshi is the only one I'll have for the next season too because all of the ones I'm currently watching are finishing soon or they're already finished. Tbh I'm getting pretty stressed if I reach 15 on my currently watching list, so I can only admire you for keeping up with so many :o
Okay, so I'm in the same situation with Spice and Wolf. I haven't seen the old adaptation but was planning to and now I'm wondering if it's alright to start with the new one first? Because I might as well watch it if it's going to be airing soon, but idk xD I'm super excited for Bartender though! Loved the old one, so hopefully this is gonna be just as good!
Aside from those, I'm gonna be checking out these but it seems like we share a lot of them:
My Hero Academia S7
Wind Breaker (looks fun and it's done by Cloverworks so I'm expecting good quality here)
Hananoi-kun to Koi no Yamai (seems like a cute romance)
Yoru no Kurage wa Oyogenai (based on the synopsis it's gonna be fun and it's made by the same studio as Oshi no Ko)
Shuumatsu Train Doko e Iku? (the synopsis intrigued me so I'm gonna check the first ep and see if I want to continue)
Karasu wa Aruji wo Erabanai (this one's gonna have 20 eps apparently, but the story seems interesting so it better be worth it haha)
Boukyaku Battery (not sure if I'll really watch this one but there's a chance since it's made by Mappa)
Ooi! Tonbo (not sure about this one either but we'll see)
Grimm Kumikyoku (original + Wit studio, of course I'm checking it out)
I will be watching Kaiju No. 8 too, but I'm curious what happend if you ended up feeling that way about the manga :o
Oh, I have yet to see the final episode of Frieren because I kept putting it off. I don't want it to end :') But I'll definitely continue with the manga and now that you've said how the next arc is even better, I'm even more excited! We need a second season asap! Hope it won't get the One Punch Man treatment...
Yeah, Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju focused more on the drama than on rakugo. But the way you described Akane-banashi reminds me of Sangatsu no Lion, since one doesn't need to be familiar with shogi to enjoy it. If anything, its focus is not really that.
Oh I see, so there's a sequel for Blade of the Immortal! Lucky me, that means more content for when I start it haha. I swear I have a lot of manga I wanna check out and the Mal challenge doesn't help either xD
Yeah, I've heard Inoue is slowly continuing Real so it might be the perfect time for me to read it from the beginning again. I've only read around 30 chapters and stopped a few years ago because I wasn't in the right mood for it. Too bad I don't think he'll be continuing Vagabond either >.<
Yep, it's just more comfortable to read digitally imo. Mostly because I like to read in the evening and that would be pretty difficult if I were to read traditional books, although the feeling of actually keeping a book in your hands can't be replaced.
Haha thanks! I wish they added subtitles for dubs too, it would've been way more easy to watch them that way ^^; But speaking of good dubs, have you ever heard of this masterpiece?
I'm doing a little bit better actually! Although this week's been stressful for me because my cat got sick and I was super worried. But thankfully she is getting better now and I couldn't be more relieved. Hope you've been well!
It happend to me before too! That's why writing replies in Word is better, because you'll never lose your progress again. But Mal should really do something about this >.<
Idk why you didn't get a notification but don't worry! Reply whenever you want. Anyways, what are you planning to watch in spring? From what I've seen, it has a lot of potential and will probably be better than this current winter season.
GK is definitely worth a read, since the anime was so great, I bet the manga is just as good if not better haha. Gotta see the live action too, since it's pretty rare to find actually good live action adaptations of manga. But I didn't know the author had another series! And about ice hockey! Woah, I have to check that out :o
Okay, writing something that big at 19 is impressive xD I never got around to watching AoT because it was so popular and when I see something everywhere I lose to motivation to check it out, especially now that the ending disappointed so many people. But hey, if the author decides to write another story, it might be better, who knows.
Ahh I love Frieren so much, I'm happy the adaptation is this accurate because I'll definitely continue with the manga after the anime finishes airing. One of the best anime we've had in a while.
It's too bad Black Lagoon will not reach its full potential (or even an ending?) but I still plan to watch the anime someday. Always love to see strong females in anime.
Akane-banashi has a high chance of getting an anime adaptation, but I'd like to read a volume or two before that haha. Have you seen Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu? It's an anime about rakugo as well, though it's a bit too dramatic for my taste.
Wow, Blade of the Immortal seems exactly like something I would like! The covers look like this right?
I've googled them and they look so nice, love it when the spines have so many details or characters :D
That's probably for the best, but I assume all those volumes take a lot of space too. Personally, I prefer reading manga digitally, especially because you can read at night too without bothering with lights too much. That's my biggest reason why I prefer reading ebooks too. But I will definitely buy a physical copy if I really love the story! I admit there's just something special about reading and feeling the pages :3
Yes, the ending was so so beautiful. And I'm happy they made an open ending for it, fits a lot better than being told everything that happens after. Leaves a little bit of mystery, which in turn makes you think about the story more, at least that's how it is for me. Nero's quote about just living was so beautiful too. So 91 Days is one of the best anime originals I've seen too, I feel like it has high rewatch value and I already see myself rewatching it in the future. But no, I haven't watched the dub yet, maybe I should check an episode just to see how it feels? I get what you mean though, it might fit better if they aren't speaking Japanese haha. I gotta be honest though, I don't watch dubs but it's not like I hate them either. Mostly because English is not my first language, so it might be a bit hard to hear what they say sometimes. I heard a lot of good things of certain anime dubs, like Trigun or Black Lagoon like you said, so it wouldn't hurt to check those out sometime.
Once again, no worries about replying late! As you can see, I'm also quite late sometimes so I don't really mind if others take their time too. I've been a bit tired recently, so I'm trying to learn to let go of some seasonals if I don't enjoy them (I feel guilty if I don't finish them sometimes xD), so yeah, I'm working on that. There are too many good shows to check out after all. Anyways, hope you're doing well too! And have a great weekend :D
Hey, just wanted to say that I finished 91 Days a while ago and it was amazing!! I have to say, I had my doubts in the beginning because I kept forgetting the names, so I didn't know how satisfying the ending will be but it was totally worth it! You were right, the open ending is similar to Monster's as you can basically have your own interpretation and it'll still make sense. I like to think Nero let Avilio live in the end, especially since he was smiling after looking at that pineapple can (he wouldn't do that if he just shot Avilio now, would he?). And we also know how Nero couldn't shoot him the first time either, so that's probably the case now too. I think they both live, as both got their families destroyed by each other and will have to keep on living, no other reason than that.
Also, Corteo's death scene was incredibly sad :( It was just heartbreaking that they had such a strong bond, yet one had to kill the other.
And the opening song was soo good! The ending was pretty fitting too.
So yeah, very memorable show. Loved it! Your recommendation was spot on :D
Are you me? That's relatable af xD I don't think we'll ever find an answer for this lol. To me, it just feels a lot more exciting to watch an episode every week and be able to discuss it with people or make theories about it. And it's not like that show will disappear after it stops airing of course, but it sure feels like it haha.
Yeah, it seems like a cozy/fun watch for October haha. So I'll probably be saving it for that month. I may start Dr Stone sooner, if I manage to watch less seasonals somehow lol.
Ahh the farm arc in Vagabond is what made me really like the manga! I mean, it was great from the very beginning, but the character development for Musashi is insane. Not to mention how gorgeous everything looks :o I'm a bit sad it will never get an ending though.
I really want to read Golden Kamuy's manga as well. Now that the final season has been announced, it's the perfect time to read from the beginning to refresh my memory. Didn't know there was a live action, but I kinda avoid watching them after being disappointed with the one made for Ping Pong ^^;
Wow, I've never watched AoT myself, but it must be popular for a reason! And omg Odd Taxi was soo good! I think you are very lucky they like anime so much haha.
Same actually! Black Lagoon, Akane-banashi and Blade of the Immortal are things I want to watch/read this year hopefully. And I also want to read Sousou no Frieren's manga after the anime finishes airing.
But omg all of those are top favs of mine >.< I gotta say that buying all the collection before knowing if you enjoy it or not takes a lot of courage xD I could never do that! Pluto is amazing and although I liked the anime a lot, I still prefer the manga. It's totally worth reading imo! Also, Pluto is another one of those shows that can be enjoyed by non-anime watchers xD
I did, thanks! Feel free to reply at your own pace too. It's always so nice to talk to people who love the same things you do here :3
Omg relatable! Every time I try to pick less seasonals to watch, but still end up with at least 10 of them lol. Even though there are still so many finished shows I want to check out, I just can't stop watching seasonals ^^;
I plan to watch Iruma-kun too, but maybe that one's better as a Halloween watch? That's the kind of vibe I'm getting.
And yeah, I had a feeling Vinland Saga is your favourite anime of all time but that's understandable, since I also love that story. The second season was even better, it even reminded me of Vagabond a little!
Woah, your parents have good taste haha. I can't imagine watching Golden Kamuy with mine xD Do they have a favourite anime btw?
We even share quite a few favourites as well, so I'm sure we will get along! I may reply a bit late sometimes, but hopefully that won't be a problem ^^;
thats cool, ive never been that early into the hype train :v, i think i started reading when eichiro oda recommend it, i want to say maybe chapter 20-ish. Akane banashi, has a stage in jump fest this weekend, if im not mistaken, would be cool to see if they give any important news, although an anime adaptation right now is very unlikely, although i see viz media is already selling the english physical copies.
i see you have Dead Dead Demons Dededede Destruction in your favs, do you recommend me reading or should i wait for the anime? i read 1 ch way back but it didnt hook me that much.
hi, i saw you i believe in a forum of undead unluck and i saw your profile and you certainly have a very interesting list of favs that im hoping to check out eventually. Yes, im liking akane banashi so far, its my first experience with a rakugo animanga and so far it has been interesting. Akane is awesome, a very good character, i would add the characters are pretty solid, especially hikaru, urara and kaisei. Ive liked how the author has been giving this characters more layers, more depth. Im hoping to see if the quality of the story continues. This is one of the titles that im patiently waiting for an anime adaptation, i think the voice acting and the movements can enhance the story.
Troll? What i am trolling? Saying Re:Zero is better than Berserk is a troll? Lmao
Comparing Berserk manga to Re:Zero novel is pointless.
Berserk manga is empty with thousands of empty words carried by it's art.
Re:Zero novel has millions of word with each arc and section is connected to each perfectly, with god-tier character writing with tons of depth & worldbuilding.
Berserk is just a manga, it doesn't have chance against Re:Zero or any good fantasy novel.

Better than Vagabond, Berserk and Vinland Saga combined.
