A studio change and a good one at that. OLM have some really good with Komi san and Summer Time Render so they will do good with Nagatoro too

In order to keep quality, I do hope that they only do Nagatoro-san for the season. Komi-san did have an obvious dip in quality since they also did Summertime Render.

Lord I need it now lol, but I’m very excited for Winter 2023 now, and interesting studio change, I thought Season 1 was very well done (I just finished rewatching it recently lol) but I’m interested in seeing what OLM will do.

I feel like season 2 could be a banger, season one's biggest problem is the opening stretch of episodes where she behaves too much like a psycho and doesn't show as much vulnerability. but the new status quo established by the end of the season means that the relationship should be more stable, if still kind of a psychological dom/sub situation.
happy to see OLM involved, even their less accomplished teams aren't incompetent.

Just saw the announcement on the main page! I'm excited for the 2nd season and I hope that OLM does a great job as, based on some comments here, some episodes of other animes were not of the highest quality (I am really enjoying Summertime Render though). I watched season 1 twice and will probably watch it a 3rd time right before season 2 starts :p

Interesting. There’s a character in the background I didn’t expect to see yet, it seems like they’re going to be covering a lot of Manga chapters this season. There’s also another character I can’t wait to see. 😄

I wonder if the studio change is anything to do with how much the intro played up the bullying aspect in the first season? While it is like that in the first two episodes, Nagatoro isn’t even remotely that extreme afterwards.

I think OLM has potential to do a better job. The director change does give me pause though. I'm not familiar with his work and most of it seems geared towards a younger audience. I'm going to remain hopefully though.
