So this is it we've reached the finale

lmao at kadokura's movie becoming a box office bomb
But Golden kamuy wasn't a bomb it was pure hinna

Overall I have no complaints 10/10 from me
What a great journey GK has been!

A huge thank you to Apoptosis and HouseofGlass for consistent quality and detailed translator notes that further enriched the story.

I started this series loving to learn all about the Ainu culture, some Ainu words, good food, and historical background of Golden Kamuy.
There's a lot to react to regarding where everyone ends up but I will say it's both hilarious and fitting for most of them.
And everything was wrapped up fairly peacefully in less than 30 pages though I feel like some things could be expanded on (i.e I want a longer epilogue!).
And yes, Noda we would absolutely love a spinoff series!

Yep. Shirashi basically became the Pirate King.

I KNEW we were gonna get a time skip!! And a fake out to boot!
I'm glad Huci saw Asirpa again and we're back to simpler times with our duo hunting in the forest. :)

15 kids?! Live long and prosper, Tanigaki! Live long and prosper.

Thank you Noda for confirming Hood Guy/Vasily lives in a most obscure yet artistic way.

Here's hoping Golden Kamuy gets the full anime adaptation that does the manga justice!

Looking forward to his next series and I hope it's as engaging and memorable as Golden Kamuy!

Last few chapters felt rushed. I'd have liked to see 5-6 chapters more. But anyway good ending. Certainly a great manga. Looking forward to Noda's next work.

Sugimoto made it after all, what a guy.

Tanigaki and Inkaramat went all out lmao. Made a football team with the subs and manager included.

What a journey this was, truly one of the best. Gonna miss this a lot.

What a ride. Golden Kamuy really is a gem of a manga. So glad I discovered this series thx to the anime back in 2018.

A big thank you to Noda for this series, but also the fan-translators for their amazing TL notes!

When I started this series, I was fully prepared for Sugimoto to probably die at the end, but I'm glad he gets to live on like the immortal Sugimoto he is! ^^

What a great way to end it! A bit rushed, but he still managed to tie up all the many, many loose ends. Thanks to the great scanlation team for providing us with a way to read this awesome manga! I really feel like buying the manga now 😩

Yeess, Sugimoto survived. It just wouldn't have been right to kill the immortal at the end. He still has to go on many more culinary adventures with Asirpa. It felt pretty good when he finally handed over the gold to Ume. It was a pretty satisfying conclusion in general.

Tanigaki and Inkarmat weren't lazy and lol Shiraishi fulfilled Butarou's wish. There could've been more epilogue chapters, but I've enjoyed it nonetheless a great deal. It has been an amazing adventure full of memorable(crazy) characters, historical info, excitement, tears, laughter and hinna. I haven't seen a more epic package in recent years.

9/10

Need the complete anime adaptation and the hinna spin-off

What a journey... man oh man I’m gonna miss Golden Kamuy.

I like the ambiguity of Tsurumi’s death, maybe he sunk into the ocean with the train or maybe he escaped? Anyways I think it was a fitting way to end his character.

Vasily’s painting crushed me :( I wonder what he’d do if Ogata was still alive?

I won’t lie though part of me wished that Sugimoto died but I’m still glad nonetheless he got his happy ending.

History rewritten at its finest. Everything comes to meet at the end. Was hoping to see a grown up Asripa with the timeskip but Noda maintained her charm with it. Gonna miss all those history buffs.

A beautiful epilogue to the series ~

Ume had already cured her eyes and was living happily, Koito and Tsukishima stayed together, Tanigaki never stopped fucking, Sugimoto/Asirpa continued helping the Ainu amongst other minorities while continuing their fun adventures and Shiraishi welll... what a fucking legend!!

I'll miss reading this series every couple of weeks, it was a fun ride with a brilliant ending and plenty of moments that hit hard along the way. Definitely gonna check out whatever Noda writes next ^^

What a wonderful and epic journey! Loved this manga from start to finish. So different to 99% of what is out there. Yeah, the ending could have been spread and fleshed out a bit more, but considering the terrible ending arcs of so many popular quality manga, I'll take this every day and twice tomorrow.

I lol'ed hard at Tanigaki and Inkarmat's hard work. Love that couple. And I loved the wholesome ending that Asirpa and Sugimoto got. Perfection.

Yep, the last arc was very rushed.

"That Matagi, he is too lewd..."

"WHAT THE HELL!? HE ACTUALLY PULLED IT OFF!!"

I wonder how Sugimoto has survived. Maybe it will be addressed in tankoubons.

Golden Kamuy has the best fan translation. It was fun to read the TNs every chapter. I can't believe how those guys could learn all of that.

Looking forward to anime, live adaptation and other works from Noda sensei.

don't really enjoy the "where are they now?" type of epilogue, but ig it was needed, considering how large the cast was. anyways, great ending to a great manga, even if the plot armor point of the "immortal" part was a little too much. nothing much really else to say

The last couple chapters were slightly rushed but the action and stuff that happened were so erratic and chaotic that I actually don't mind it too much. Mostly feel satisfied with the conclusion and overall, I had a great time catching up with this manga once and for all in this re-read. I'm going to miss this for sure, at least until the 4th season airs in a few months.

Inkarmat and Tanigaki having like 15 kids is still wild to me lol. Their lives are never boring with that many amount of kids to deal with, that's for sure. The Shiraishi ending was perfect too for his character.

a shame such a good work was held back by shit characters as sugimoto and asirpa, having a gary stu as a protagonist take away all the tension from the fights because you knew how would it end everytime, tsurumi, ogata, koito, nikaido, tsukishima and in general all the soldiers of the 7th division were by far the best characters in the whole work, a shame so much time was wasted on sugimoto the bitch and generic samurai guy

What a end to such a unique series, it was nothing short of craziness and fun.

Although it did feel a tad rushed I still enjoyed it a whole lot and feel like the ending fits the massive world of GK.

Sad to see another great story come to an end but I'll always remember all the fanservice I mean badass moments my boy Sugimoto had :)

Still don't like you Tsurumi and hope you drowned but you were still a great character.

Strong 9.5 out of 10 from me.

Hinna, hinna!! What a pretty and agradable serie to follow! I'll miss everything of this manga. I was very surprised when saw Sugimoto alive, but I became very happy as well to see he fullfiling his promisse. I want a spin-off, we still have to know what was happening with Shiraishi and how he became the king of an island. I look forward for the adaptation the anime to this part and the live-action. Thanks Noda and all the staff for bring to us a manga very rich in story fictional as real, I learned a lot reading this manga more than studing history in school, and it was very fun!!

Interesting ending, I like how they did a little time skip forward. It did feel a tiny bit rushed with tying up things but I don't really have any unanswered questions. What a ride, I can't believe I only started reading this a month and 10 days ago. I can't wait to write a review, this was such a fun ride. I might check out the anime in the future, though I'm definitely recommending this to my friends.

Certainly a modern day classic. Out of countless trash tier manga being released nowadays this is one of the few gems out there.

The amount of effort that went into creating this manga must have been insane.

Sadly can't really put anything higher than 9/10, too many questionable decisions were made all over the place. A balance of comedy/serious scenes was done rather poorly resulting in it being hard to take the entire story seriously... the 'power balance' between characters was quite a bit off too many times to ensure plot goes right.
The start of the manga culinary scenes were often quite out of place as well.

But if we skip all the minor downsides it's certainly one of the few stories I truly enjoyed out of those finished in last decade. Can't have enough of good seinen.
