Not a fan of Gustav but he's quite a badass.

Jeanne (the knight girl that joined Shinobu) is also back fighting the good fight. Despite the action scenes, it looks like we got a fair amount of fan service as well. Thanks Shinobu lmao

Shinobu and Jeanne managed to defeat Gustav guy. We got to see some gun action and grenades.

Some great fan service at the end.

Guns not penetrating cavalry armor, how funny. Also, nice design for suicidal unit, so many spikes, so many monolith parts that obstruct movements. Also, nice thing - having no factories and mines and yet producing not only guns, but also grenades, and not simple ones like stick bombs, but our modern ones (and I will not even mention a swarm of drones). As usual, author just spawns stuff from thin air and expects us to route for heroes. Why, if you will never put them in a bad situation? Why bother if they just get anything they want? Not only they isekaid 7 OP characters, but also enabled cheats, how cool, funny and original. But hey, it doesn't matter if we get 10 minutes of pure out-of-place fanservice?

I can sort of understand why Tsukasa doesn't trust the current Azure Brigade leadership - they're likely the types that are more interested in enriching themselves/power consolidation via their current alliance with the 7 Lights.

And for someone as idealistic as Tsukasa, those types are totally out in his grand design for ideal sociopolitical reform.

NGL i only watch this for the tiddies and waifus at this point, the plot doesn't seem to be existent at all and I really don't know what the endgame is for this series. I just like seeing cute girls doing cute shit.

Marching through snowy mountains at the height of winter really is suicidal. So rather than an ambush force the rifle equipped units was an irregular unit that performed a myriad of roles. Unlike Gustav Marquis Arclide was a much more better tactician and leader than his master was. Still no matter men he had or how sturdy his walls were careful tactics and a little intimidation from bear san via Ringo's seiyuu can put pay to that. The isolation strategy sure had some impressive results depriving the capital of any reinforcements. The fight against Gustav though was a bit hairy due to his unusual skill at close combat. Its good that the marquis was able to realise his loyalty to Gustav was a mistake and switch sides. After such a hard fought battle i think the girls deserved that reward. Overall an interesting ep that combined action and careful use of analysis and tactics to take down Gustav and secure the northern borders. To Gustav's credit he didn't go down easy. Though from Tsukasa's words looks like the azure brigade might not be allies for much longer.

Was that the big showdown? This series really let me down the moment they dropped the mayonnaise combinations

It's not that this was all that bad but.. It just wasn't interesting? The only thing cool was the OST

Everything happened to quickly, had no connections and overall didn't get me hyped in any way.
Was that fight against Gustave like some kinda boss battle? Well sucks it only lasted for 3 minutes or so. Not epic at all
As said everything happened so quick that I just couldn't get into it. Maybe the pacing in the anime now was just bad, but it was pretty meh

Every week I go back and forth on whether I should drop this series or not. This episode was kinda better than the last one, but it doesn't change the fact that the plot is all over the place. At least we got some ecchi goodness at the end. Prince Akustiki is lucky to get a massage with the ladies, which gives me another reason to hate him.

For a second I was thinking that by "NGL" you mean "No Guns Life". xD

There is clear story and endgame "modernise this world and find a way to back home", problem of this series that like @slavemaster_1991 point out everything is too easy for protagonists, they could at least make more primitive guns like Flintlocks and WWI era grants or (sweet) panzerfausts.
also those goddammit armored horses, how they can even walk?! it was hilarious!

and they defeated Gustav too easy he should kill a few people and injure that armored girl.

Lord Gustave isn't done with the Prodigies...not just yet. Yet he was killed too easily, hopefully(?) he comes back to give them a run for their money.

Im the midst of planning, whatever the enemy has prepared for them, Tsukasa has it many steps ahead. That's a general strategist for you. And everyone else is doing his bidding to end the war ASAP.

Fanservice after the war, what a joy. To skip this in a sea of skipped content would be sin, and though Akatsuki is a boy, he's still a child. What bright eyes galore.

What a weird episode to finish the war, and get the next thing over and done with.

Tbf those cavalry's have thick armors not the ordinary typical soldier armor that even an arrow can penetrate

It's really the grenades that I also call bs lol their explosions have like the power of dynamite lol

OMG I thought the rifle was pushing it but now grenades and also that huge amount of drones !!? Why not just built a entire army of suicidal-bomb drones ???
Why limit themselves when they can actually do so much more ?? Oh wait I just remember they don't actually have the resources nor the facility to build that much !!!

But this is an anime so anything the author wants can happen

That said I do find the massage scene enjoyable !!

When did you make those rifles, and how? Off ... screeen!

But the enemy has armor, and rifles can't shoot through armor, right? So what do we do? Clever tactics? No, we finished that off in the first two episodes, with the trade stuff. Now we just pull out grenades!

Where did you get them? Off ... screeen!

And then we have the enemy soldiers all turn to our side. BUT wait calmly for the villain to hold a speech before they pull out armbands. Not a single one of them refusing to turn traitor, or refusing to stand there quietly. Now THAT's discipline. And a complete lack of personality, or family ties or friendships, in a time of crisis. Just NPC drones.

Gustave - just standing there by the window with his arms burning, all casual, his clothes not catching fire.

When one of his fireballs FINALLY hits Jeanne at almost no distance, it just ... pushes her. Fire is a cushion now.

And of course the gunpowder is just produced out of thin air. Because why not? You didn't want an anime with actual problems to solve, did you? Here the problems are simply solved ... out of thin air. Off ... screeen!

Never mind that. Time to throw in some light porno. But make it women massaging other women's breasts, because the lonely otakus want as few men as possible on screen to compete with them. Ideally an anime should have only girls in a magic school or magic battles or speedboat battles, with the guys unable to use magic or speedboats, so the otakus don't have to feel nervous by their presence.

What, you didn't know front massage only involves groping the breasts, or suggestively pushing your fingertips down in the direction of the vagina? You live and learn!

"My body is so ripped with muscles that it makes me jealous of how soft you are sometimes."

A line written by a guy who knows nothing about women's bodies, or about muscles. It would take daily training on a professional bodybuilder's level, eating many thousands of calories per day, for a woman to get visible muscles. And even then the body is soft in all the places where it matters. When your muscles are relaxed they are soft too. But amateurs imagine that as soon as a woman picks up dumbbells she gets all hard from muscles, as seen in some pic.

"Would you like to try out the big breast massages passed down in my family?"

Good God. Kill this anime already.

Okay, there were a lot of problems here.

Going through the mountains in winter is not DEFINITELY tantamount to suicide. Hannibal did it and reached Italy (losing a lot of his men in the process though, to the point where he did not have the numbers to siege Rome). But that tactic/strategy by Tsukasa really was nothing special. If Arclide's forces were reliant on their heavy cavalry, then it's best to find a more strategic position from which you can attack. Using heavy cavalry in the mountains in winter against a castle is just idiotic. What ticks me off about that battle though wasn't that it wasn't that amazing of a tactic, it was the battle itself.

What sort of heavy cavalry is that? Those spikes are useless and could even injure other horsemen around them. Also, they make it difficult to move and maneuver, not to mention that adding on even MORE weight in their armour makes the horseman even slower. And what sort of armour is that that it can withstand MODERN bullets? I thought only the Seven-Light Faith was in possession of OP armour?

Although I gotta say that I liked the fact they used modern weapons like rifles and grenades instead of you know, even more ridiculous stuff like laser guns (I'm looking at you railgun).

Also, a lot of problems in this episode relate to sound. A lot of the gunshots, shouts, and fight sounds didn't have as much impact as they should have because of the lacking sound. Take the gunshots from the rifles for example. They were too light, lacking the bass (not much of a sound/music man myself, so I'm using this word since I don't know a better word), it didn't feel deep and heavy enough resulting in guns that didn't have much impact. Also the shouting when the Azure Brigade rebelled against Gustave was so underwhelming. It wasn't loud or numerous enough. Those are just two examples I could think of. The grenades weren't explosive enough either. This episode could've been much better with just those sounds in mind.

I understand the reasoning behind fan service, but personally for me it's becoming uncomfortable to watch them because of how many there are and how pointless and out of place they are. There was a LOT of fan service in terms of ratio compared to the actual plot.

Probably the most interesting thing about the end of this episode is how they might not be allies with the Azure Brigade (although the execution of this eventual clash is underwhelming). It seems the Azure Brigade are moderate when compared to the Seven-Light Faith's radical ideas. They seem to want to preserve the current order, just replacing the people such as Duke Gustave with a more humane duke. It seems they are still bent on gathering power and maintaining the status quo. It's definitely not on the same course as the Seven-Light Faith. I wonder how it'll play out, especially since Jeanne has been portrayed as somewhat of a hero here.

Although I got a LOT of problems with this series, I'm still hopeful that there's an increase in quality in the next few episodes.

Seriously at this point how this show isn't close to the lowest rated this season is mind-boggling lmao

You'd think considering they somehow managed to build missiles, grenades, literal cellphones with service that they'd at least build more modern guns? idk something about building World War style guns seems pretty weird

Ah, it doesn't even matter anymore, this show is nothing more than the creators fantasy trip. Which wouldn't be that bad to watch tbh if the characters were more...enjoyable? Kinda hard to explain but so far all the characters apart from Ringo and maybe Masato have this weird aura that makes them kinda unlikable to watch.

Good episode, we had decent fighting between those Riflemen and the Heavy Cavalry, kudos to that Marquis though, he was a good tactician. We got some pretty cool scenes against the fight with Gustave too. And lastly, the most important of the show, the girls and them being massage in parts that you can imagine, ah, the climax of the show.

I'm still kinda sad that they cut out the awesome scene where the Seven's modern troop used rifles and night vision for the first time. It looked pretty good in the manga to me and while the fanservice was fantastic I would've been okay if it was pushed back an episode so we could see some more action. Oh well, what's animated is animated :/

I initially thought they used mines against the heavy cavalry, then it turned they're hand grenades. Propaganda drones, kuma!

No body remains of Gustav huh? He might have turned himself into ash but I'll just file him away under MIA, in case he turns up back later.

Who the "f" are the Azure Brigade anyway? All I know is Captain Jean is with them and we haven't seen this Count Blumhardt she was serving yet.
