| I skimmed through episode one my shonen ranking all good standard shonen shows, one piece, dbz, bleach, naruto, gintama, black clover, d gray man. passable hit n miss arcs. fairy tail, blue exorcist, digimon, pokemon, soul eater, is it more on the kid audience level or get better like black clover did??? |
| I don't really have big feelings towards it. I find it rather dull but passable. There's a couple highlights, but overall I don't think it's in the level of the big names. |

Its comedy is kind of dumb and tame but more or less the usual, it's not like One Piece's is mature. The overall premise is quite dark already, and it turns darker. I'd say it's on a standard level for battle shonen in these aspects. |
| Based on it's MAL page, it scored lower than Naruto and Mob Psycho 100. It would have to earn a higher score than that in order to be a household name. It even scored lower than my favorite shounen anime called Hyper Police. |

| I just started it and so far it seems to be pretty good but nothing particularly special. The characters haven't left much of am impression so far, even tho they're likable, and we didn't see much action yet but I like the worldbuilding and the adventurous structure of the narrative so I'm confident I'll enjoy the show. The designs are pretty cool too. It's of course full of clichés and tropes but that's the case for every battle shounen so if you like them that should be a plus. But overall it's too early for me to say much about it. It looks to be an average battle shounen, which in my book is a good battle shounen. |

| The design and the world didn't really hit me (it also didn't help that I'm not a fan of fantasy magic because of the loose rules). I'm down for shounen but if you have what something that's currently publishing is bringing to the table it's almost a "why bother" The manga tho I haven't touched it, looks much more bold and beautiful with the characters and the art in general. So if I was going to pick one . . . |

I thought fairy tail and black clover were ones that might not be seen as top tier but d gray man was so similar to full metal alchemist and had one of the better osts in shonens i rate it just a tad below other in top tier |
