| Since when was fairly tail the one infamous for doing anime only movies especially when it didn't even do all that much given how long it ran for. They can be pretty great if done right, I know people adore some of the non-canon one piece films, and another super non-canon one with the gintama 2nd movie is easily one of my favorite parts of the entire franchise. I don't necessarily believe this will be something amazing, but seeing these characters go take on a conflict with bones doing movie tier animation as a bonus sounds massively appealing to me as a fan. Maybe its gintama 2nd movie tier or maybe it's like the godawful hunter x hunter movies. |

| What I want to know is why do people care about non-canonity if that's a word. Yes, it's true that fillers are notorious for having bad writing, so I get that you might not like non-canon stuff. But remember at the end of the day, they are both fictions, and fillers are still capable of great quality if the writer chooses to do so. It's just that the original writer are the one with the idea and motivation, meaning they know how the story will develop while filler writers need to incorporate a way to not stray much from the original story but at the same time be able to tell a compelling story on its own, which can be a harder thing. I mean, I loved the last three One Piece movies and Movie 6 (Baron Omatsuri) was awesome too. All of those were considered to be non-canon, so I'm giving this MHA movie a chance too. There is also that better animation aspect of movies so that's another reason why I'm watching it. Anyways, we're not really sure if the movie is going to be canon or not, so just give it a try. I've heard that it's written by Horikoshi himself and will take place overseas between the 2nd season and upcoming 3rd season. There are also rumors that it might introduce to a bit of All Might's backstory. Reddit Link |
