Are you serious, or are you joking around? Because you had a MAL profile since 2015, you would've known how to quote on both MAL forum and the comment system already.
Nothing on your profile indicate to me that you're living in India, but assuming you're telling me the truth I'll take ya word for it. Also, when you said "murrican" on your last comment. That's not something a person from India would say. I thought you might be European (which is impossible because European would have access to crime and horror comic), or Canadian (which is possible given that you said it looks like you lived in a rural area, but you would've still heard and have access to non-superhero comics).
I have to ask: How the hell does your local comic stores not have any manga, or any non-superhero comic book? They're comic book by default, does the owner of that store not know about genre beyond superhero? And how the hell does the owner not know about manga, or comic book outside of American comic book? Is the owner American, or never traveled to Japan at all?
So you've been a anime fan for more then 25 years and you didn't get MAL until 2015? Why didn't you get a MAL account like somewhere in early to late 2000's?
I had my MAL profile since 2010 (if you've been looking at my MAL profile).
Anyway, since you didn't know that horror and crime comic exist in American comic book exist, here's a video on a little history about moral panic in 1950's, enjoy!!!:
Well, if you stated where you live on your profile, I wouldn't be making assumption. This is why I have no problem stating where I lived on my MAL profile. Given that you speak English, and you're familiar with American pop culture, I assume you're Canadian, am I correct?
And I already came to realized that when I looked at your MAL profile. I don't know where you live, but I find that hard to believe your comic book store you have don't have any manga at all. Doesn't your area have a Barnes & Nobles, Book a Million, or any bookstore that sells manga, and graphic novels at all?
So let me get this straight: you read superhero comic book from DC and Marvel, but you never bothered or developed curiosities about reading non-superhero genre comic book, and you watch anime and yet you never bother to read manga? Why???
You watch over 600+ anime titles, and yet you never bother to dive into manga at all, why??? Don't your anime watching habit never made you curious about manga at all? Is this why you never bother to branch out outside of superhero genre when it comes to comic book/graphic novels & manga?
How long have you been in the anime fandom for? Because if you're a long time anime fan, I find that hard to believe that you would never bother to read manga at all.
wtf does that even mean? comics are superhero ......... comics..... what?
Heh, sounds like you never read any comic books outside of superheroes, am I correct? Are you serious, you never heard of these:
Yep, these are all comic books/graphic novels that aren't even superheroes at all. They're horror comics, and/or crime comics. Speaking of crime comics, I take it that you haven't watch Super Crooks anime on Netflix (assuming you have Netflix), were you aware that's based on a western comic/graphic novels?
I'll forgive you if you're not a US citizens if you didn't know about this, but if you are I find that hard to believe you didn't know these non-superheroes comic book exist. I mean did you not know that James Bond had a graphic novels line from Dynamite Entertainment (again, assuming you're a US citizens):
AND you like azumanga diaoh. Great taste
