What a perfect episode to make me hate literally everybody. Seriously, are all the girls in this show insufferable and unreasonable cunts? |

kinda felt bad for Mio but at the same time lol its a freaking wallpaper, well that's explains the title Just Because And how can a guy not know how his phone works lol even though he's supposedly quite smart scruffykiwi said: Seiign said: My thoughts the entire episode: Eita get your self together! Just don't be a p***y and go set things straight with Mio. I do feel a teeny tiny bit sorry for Komiya but well... She knew he was in love with her form the start. Finally Haruto can chill a bit (not very sure what he's gonna do form now though). Just hope they don't go the you don't get anyone route. Eita shouldn’t be doing anything. As far as he knows Mio still has a crush on Haruto and nothing he has seen has changed that view. In fact events early on confirmed to him that Mio still had a thing for him. Haruto’s crush is going nowhere so hes still in the picture as far as Eita is concerned. Its all up to Mio to change the story. She’s the one dithering and doing nothing. What Eita should be doing is read his phone manual |

hyperknees91 said: Fair enough. I think the main failing is the show doesn't emphasize any of her positive traits. Even her studying is mostly used as a negative because of how often she uses it as an excuse. I'm not hating on Natsume, but I wish there was more to grab on. To be fair, when a big exam that probably decides your future is coming up, it is not a bad excuse, because you really have a shitton of learning to do, and you must focus mainly on it. The only time she really uses it as an excuse is in Episode 4 on the question of why won't she get things straight with Haruto. The real reason being, she doesn't really want to, since he likes someone else. That's it: #1 Not butting in on others business. (Like a certain somebody, and it is fine that certain somebody did, I mean something has to happen in the anime after all, and in Episode 10 she's sorry for it, as apparently she just prevented the two of them to find out about each other's feelings.) Staying at the excuse part, we can see character developement, since at the end of Episode 9, to the idea if she should buy the chocolate, she immediately comes of with the "Nah, I have to focus on the entrance exam", but then changes her mind and buys it anyway and in Episode 10 at least kind of tries. Staying at the studying: #2 Hardworking. She does put in a lot off effort. I mean I probably couldn't study that much (I should be studying right now xd). #3 Kind of funny/awkward/*fitting word*: I mean this scene is kind of like this meme, or getting off the train when things get awkward, because "This is my stop", etc. #4 Helpful: At the beginning of the anime Ena asks her for Haruto's number, and she "fails" to give it to her. At this point most people would be like: "Nah, I don't care", and wouldn't do anything about it. But she goes out of her way to help her, going through loops to not break the facade of "she doesn't know it". I guess I could write some more if I really wanted to, well, I don't. hyperknees91 said: My main annoyance with the show is Eita still though. Who the director has now just inflicted two bits of insane plot induced stupidity on. One he thinks a teenager is too dumb to not know how to change his phone background. And two him being super dense about Natsume in this episode....I mean cmon dudeeeee. It is a slice of life, but well, things have to happen to keep it interesting. He probably could change the wallpaper if really wanted to, Idk google it up or something, but maybe he didn't care that much, I mean it is a good picture, he's getting on well with Ena, didn't thought it through, that it would have a meaning, and Natsume probably never ever looked at his phone in the anime before, what are the chances that she... Oh. It surprised me personally, I thought he has changed back in between the episodes already. I thought it was just a joke in Episode 8 that "he is not an IT guy by far". Yes, it is not neccesarily the smartest thing, but well something had to happen (and *it could happen in real life* :P), or they could have rolled the credits already. This is still a lot better and relatable way of creating conflict/drama, than for example this season in the "10cm something": girl figures out the person saved her from drowning is the brother of the guy she likes. ME: great, now she can talk about it with him to make him feel better, that his brother was a great person, changed people's lives even in his short life, etc... Her: MEH GOD I MURDERED HIS BROTHER (there is no fact that tells her/us that saving her had anything to do with him dying), shuts down every communication with him. Or in Tsuki ga Kirei: Oh wait, there was no drama/conflict in Tsuki ga Kirei... (Half joking, I haven't even finished it after watching like 5 episodes, only watched the final episode, and yes we knew that exactly this will happen from just episode 1. I am not saying it was a bad show, only it just wasn't made for me.) This way we can have this weird, but kinda funny situation, that they are both aiming the other's first choice, and waiting. I mean it is not a great historical moment or anything, but I doubt this has ever happened in any anime ever. I do think however that the ball is in Eita's court, since Natsume kinda made a move. Yes, Eita still haven't realised what's going on (well, other than this there wasn't a whole lot of signs), anyways that situation for like could have been like this. hyperknees91 said: I still don't know why he likes her so much. I'll admit I did like that train scene. And that's kind of what I'm talking about. If there were more scenes like that that emphasized her awkwardness as being kind of amusing, then I would have more to like about her character. Most of what you mentioned is like ok, but doesn't really have any oomph to it. Just standard normal people stuff. I could imagine Morikawa doing the same things for example. I say this because the show does a better job emphasizing the positive traits of the other characters (while giving them negatives). However as a whole the cast is all around lacking because the writing just isn't there. Even with someone as likable as cute as Komiya, she feels very out of place in the early episodes. Like they were scenes from a different show or something. > It is a slice of life, but well, things have to happen to keep it interesting. Yeah but that doesn't mean you have to be lazy about it. When it's so blatant that no one is this stupid, especially someone who apparently is quite smart like Eita. Just ignores the character that was established. The only character this could have ever worked on is Morikawa, because she is shown to be rather dense and its possible they could have wrote her as having no clue on technology stuff. Tsuki ga Kirei is absolute garbage. Let's compare it to something like March comes in like a lion. Something that does realistic characters right. But yes, I agree Just Because is better than those. I'm not trying to thrash the whole series like its complete garbage like those. Just disappointing that it didn't do more with what it had. I'm not a fan of using "it can happen in real life" as an excuse for anything in a written work. The storytelling has to make it believable based on the context it sets up. |

Enya Komika sure had a lot of Finnish Air Force bases marked on her map... I was a bit suprised seeing that, since allegedly there was a japanese government edict 1-2 years ago that said shrines won't be marked by a swastika any more, out of consideration for the foreign participants and spectators of Tokyo 2020 Olympics and a neutral symbol like a torii or the outline of a pagoda should be used instead? |

hyperknees91 said: Tsuki ga Kirei is absolute garbage. Let's compare it to something like March comes in like a lion. Something that does realistic characters right If you think 95% of all anime protagonists being orphaned is realistic than you have a very twisted view of reality... TgK was at least showing us complete and functional families, which is the daily reality for 95% of the world's population. Here is a hint, which is probably not taught in schools: throughout the history of mankind, from 10,000 AD to-day, violent death rate averaged 2.9%, that is about one person per an average school class. The highest sustained rate was 12% during the medieval "dark ages" period and that is about one-in-eight people. The last 100 years averaged just 2.1%, despite two World Wars, Vietnam, the Middle East and whatnot. Thus we can conclude that real life is a fairly docile and boring thing and one has to be really unlucky to end up with a headshot or a bayonet in the back or even experience that happen to a close relative. Anime, just like other visual media is hyper-violent and hyper-dramaticized. The rare exception therefore feels unreal to already indoctrinated minds, even if it closesly represents the docility of reality. |

hyperknees91 said: Just a question not to bash anyone but, why do some of you guys support Natsume at all? I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt but....really what is there to like? I'm just not seeing it. Not bashing anyone of course. Just enlighten me what I'm missing out on. To me the only positive thing about her she's done was reassure Morikawa....in which Morikawa still kind of rejected Haruto but not really in this episode...soooo what was the point of that? Actually Morikawa was very irritating here. Last episode she acts all bummed out that Haruto didn't comment on her hair, and so she rewards him by rejecting him. Don't get me wrong, rejecting him makes sense given her personality but it doesn't make sense given how she was written last episode. This is just being overly wishy-washy and you kinda just feel bad for Haruto, like he's having his feelings played around with. Also she really shouldn't have given him the after college response, that was just plain cruel. I agree with everything you said. @imSOunique has said a lot, but well I guess I'll say my own views on Natsume. First of all, just because I support Natsume doesn't mean that she's a better girl then Komiya. Komiya has been and probably will be the best girl until the end of the series. Of course the reason is simple, since she has done so much for Eita. Natsume is the type of character who thinks a lot about her surroundings. She hides her feelings to herself. She gets confused quite often. But even if it's a long time, she DOES end up realizing what we expect her to. That's one thing I like about Natsume, her slow but understandable realization towards things. Basically she ends up taking the actions you want her to even if it's towards the end. Of course for Komiya she'd do things much quicker. Even if Morikawa said that she will only be able to have a relationship with Haruto after 3 or 4 years, that doesn't mean that Natsume's advice was useless. Morikawa made her decision, altho it wasn't what most of us would've wanted. Advice does not necessarily guarantee that the person will use it. He/She may use part of it, but not all. That's what Morikawa did. She considered both her future and her relationship with Soma. RisuSaya said: Ena is sooo much better than Mio. I mean as a person. She is nice, funny and really cares for Eita. While Mio didn't actually do anything. I understand that she has to study but no one studies all the time, that's just an excuse. Ena is also doing her club activities, always taking photos and stuff and still find the time to be with Eita. She supports him while Mio just ran away crying, didn't even listen to Eita, and moreover now that she realized she loves Eita, and she nows perfectly well how Eita feels, she just decided to wait until the time will be right for HER. Again she only thinks of herself. I really hope Ena will win at the end, she should win! No she doesn't just think for herself. If she only thought for herself she wouldn't have given advice for Morikawa, and would've confessed to Soma in the first place. And she hasn't done nothing, she has mustered up the courage to give chocolate to Eita but completely ruined it because of that background pic. At least she tried. I'm just saying that she should get at least a little bit of sympathy for at least trying. Not many people are direct as Komiya you know. Of course she'd be the ideal girl. FullyCharged said: Goddamnit, episode after episode, I hate Natsume so much. She's so egoistic yet so indecisive. She is seriously going to ruin all three Komiya, Izumi and herself's relationships with that shitty behaviour. Or we will have the usual shitty ending where the first two characters of the show get together anyway. Why Pine Jam, why? You're making an original, don't let the two MC get together, it's predictable and lame... Isn't obvious? Pine Jam are an inexperienced studio and have made Gamers!, which was full of misunderstandings. I agree that sometimes she has a shitty behaviour but that's her personality you can't expect every character to have a good personality like Komiya. Retolee said: Natsume really needs to chill with being Captain Passive. She's barely spoken to Izumi ever since the festival, leaving him to think she's still in love with Haruto. When she does realise her feelings she just runs away crying, and now she's planning on waiting even longer to say something after they're in the same college. Meanwhile Ena's talking to him, going on dates, giving him gifts and supporting him. If this wasn't an anime it would be clear who the right pick would be. Ena's only gone on one official "date" with Eita, but I guess you could count the numerous times they met outside as dates too. And of course, Komiya would be the obvious option if this wasn't an anime. |

Haha well yeah it's all subjective anyway so using that kind of logic isn't necessarily "wrong". I can see why, because its the only series this season that scratches a particular itch. Being somewhat reserved for an anime, being somewhat mellow and being a romance without crazy amounts of drama. Even March Comes in like a lion for example has too many over the top goofy moments to scratch that itch. Tacsk0 said: hyperknees91 said: Tsuki ga Kirei is absolute garbage. The university subplot is really starting to piss me off. Natsume knows Izumi supports her, and even took her to her original choice university, when she had her first exam. Now neither she nor any of her friends and family even accidentally inform Izumi that she's changed her mind. Meanwhile, Izumi is taking an entrance exam for a university inferior to the one he's allready been admitted to, yet worries whether he'll pass or not, while his otherwise involved mother doesn't even question his motives. He probably will fail, and Natsume will succeed, putting them in the same best Disney university after all. Aversa said: If Natsume remains as passive as she has been till now she will lose her love interest. Tho it seems Kamiya's picture did enough to scare her of and everything seems to be going in Kamiya's favour. The question is will Natsume make a comeback or not. As much as I'd like, Komiya again rooting for Izumi x Natsume is setting up for a Izumi x Natsume ending, in which supposedly Komiya is acceptingly happy too. It seem like they're going for what you could call from a director's perspective, a cowards route. They're going to let Natsume win, but try and present it in a way that will not overly offend team Komiya. Needless to say, I am allready offended. That said, I'm still hoping for the directors to show some balls and exceed my expectations. With Izumi stating he cares about Komiya's photography club, and handing her the best omamori, suggesting that he actually wants to fail the entry exam, plot-technically it's still possible. SJ7izm said: Komiya is too good for this atrocious series. This is becoming more and more my opinion as well. There is still some good art the last few episode, but overall: animation, characters, and plot, took a nosedive the second half of the season. Fay207 said: sekuhara said: The way this anime is portraying Natsume right now makes her feelings for Haruto for a long time looks really cheap to me. Seriously, it also make us wonder if her love for Eita is true or just another self satisfying of her. I think she is kind of selfish. She's a rat, a clueless rat. She'll eat whatever food is in front of her, and when you take it away, she'll just move to the second best thing, untill something better comes up again. Whatever it is though that she's going for, she'll tell you it's what she really wants, but in reality she just wants to feed. |

Komiya is really awesome and she does deserve better. Sighs... This anime shows why is so important to communicate, seriously, holding back what you really feel is worse for people around you and yourself, see Eita's situation. I mean, he's really considering going to another college because of Natsume and even though Natsume is "really serious about him" she doesn't talk about what she's feeling nor he does and then... What a mess!! At least Souma and Morikawa had -the talk-, I mean, that's a problem solved! He tried but she was clear about everything afterall... So I guess he's going to be alone just like Morikawa. Which I think it's better for he, since she is really focused on her education and didnt have any romantic interest in anybody. I really wish that Eita and Ena would get along thoough... |

I'm glad that Morikawa gave her honest answer to Haruto. Can't really blame her for rejecting Haruto for now because it's really too early. I'm glad that she took her priorities first. Also, at least she's giving Haruto a chance once she graduates college. It may take a while, but love is patient after all. Hope Haruto is willing to wait. As for Mio, I guess I felt bad for Eita as she caught his phone wallpaper. Although this made her realize that she is indeed in love with Eita. Ena, on the other hand, is quite charming in this episode. I'm glad that she wishes the best for those two although it may be painful since she's in love with him. I do hope she wins the competition. I can't take it how Eita and Mio's direction for the university is going its opposite ways. I do hope they'd still end up with each other. Although I don't really hate Ena, I feel sad for her as I think she's gonna have the short end stick of this anime. |

WTF! Eita is trying to get into Joei now? This is some stalker shit now. lol at Ena's response in the text. Ena sees Eita with Mio. Mio sees Ena's pic on Eita's phone. LMAO Rikuo prospered. Mio runs away. Ena removed the best pic of all time. NO!!!!!!!!!! Rikuo prospering. Ena gave her chocolate to them? Damn it! Hazuki broke Haruto's heart again. Now she wants him to wait 3 years? WTF! Ena texted Eita. Dat chocolate. Dem amulets. That's what Eita likes about Ena. Dat ending. Despite it all, Ena still likes Eita. Stop focking around with my kokoro! |
If you see that my post is exactly 1 month old (or more) from when it was posted... Don't waste your time, especially when you want to reply with something petty & insignificant. Assume that I've moved on (because I have). |

Komiya went the extra mile to those shrines even after she knows Eita has strong feelings for Natsume. Its really difficult for me not to root for Komiya. With Natsume realizing her feelings for Eita, Komiya stands practically no chance unless Eita realizes that Natsume was someone he HAD liked during middle school but that sounds too good to happen. Natsume now using the exams as her means to push off her confession while Komiya pretty much confessed lol even though she stated that she'd confessed only if she won the prize. Natsume been really like a bitch for the second half of this season. She complains about Eita not realizing her feelings for him, well maybe you should get off your damn high horse. Also they have been doing that often in this anime "If I can succeed in this then I will confess...." it's overdone at this point, enough is enough. While I have been enjoying my time watching Just Because, at the same time I am happy I am closer to the end of this anime lol. |

Things are heating up in this anime. Natsume was starting to get braver but then she couldn't do it after seeing that picture. I'm rooting for Natsume, so even though that was sad to see I was happy to see that she was more serious and seems like she's going to get braver. Komiya really does like Izumi a lot, it's going to be kind of hard to see her not get Izumi in the end (since it seems to be the case). I just hope she ends up happy. Haruto and Morikawa finally getting some conclusion. I thought he was really going to be rejected, but turns out they're just going to wait, what a great conclusion to their story! I really like them from the start, and I hope they really will get together after everything's settled in. Now it seems it's just going to keep heating up seeing how Haruto and Morikawa's story has ended, it's going to focus on Izumi, Natsume, and Komiya. |

ReguIus said: Well the whole thing with Natsume seeing Eitas wallpaper pissed me off. How do you tell me someone doesn't know how to change their wallpaper ffs. I know there may be someone who seriously doesn't know, but using this as a trigger for drama was lame. In the other hand I really like what Haruto and Morikawa have going on. If he isn't dating anyone by the time her stuff settles they'll date. Let's hope Haruto can wait for her! I second this. They just used Eita's ignorance with technology as a drama device. |

He mentioned in Episode 1 that he got a recommendation in Joei, which would make it his FIRST CHOICE. He thought Mio wanted to get into Suizan, so he wants to take the entrance exam for Suizan as his second choice. Mio likes Eita, but doesn't know about his entrance exam, so she decides to take the exam for Joei. |

When Natsume saw Komiya's picture as his phone's wallpaper, I literally screamed FUCK FUCK FUCK and that look on Natsume didn't help much either. This was the first episode in this anime that got me teary-eyed, not once but twice. First time during the Morikawa and Soma part and second time when Komiya gave all the amulets to Eita. But boy the Morikawa and Soma part made me so happy. I'm so happy for Soma right now. Am I the only one or do these episodes seem unnaturally too long, I mean it didn't feel like 20 minutes, definitely felt more than 20 minutes. 5/5. |
The end of an era. Thank you Wit, Mappa and Isayama. Feeling half happy, half sad. Kawaii waifus and precious best girls <3333 |

Oh no, the cliche scene is here, but the drama wasn't that over the top so I didn't mind it. I really hope it won't be too late for Natsume to confess her feelings, that ending made me very worried. First was Natsume, then Morikawa rejected Souma. Stop the depression please!! Fortunately Morikawa followed that by telling Souma to wait a bit, which made me happy. |

Also, I don't even want to talk about Morikawa. She is keeping Haruto as her go to option after she finishes college??? WTF that's petty. |

That was good and bad at the same time :D Mio and Eita will pass exams to different schools :D Eita will go to worse school because of her :( and still not be with her there :D good that Mio seen the picture it was obviuos she will :D too bad Ena didn't give him the homemade ones :( but at least the other guys are happy ;d Haruto running was kinda cringe :D but Haruto and Hazuki was nice :D Ena is really better choice ;d |
(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ ちゅっ ちゅっ キス (´。✪ω✪。`) I hate it when anime/manga that I enjoyed ends, especially when there could be much longer plot and when I love main heroine :P I wish I had magic glasses that let me see real world in anime colors ;) |
