Oh poor poor Tazuna. I really think he should be more careful of himself if he decides to fight against cause he could end up dead next time.

That Awaza girl is pretty tough despite how she looks.
I guess characters really shouldn't be underestimated in their world at all.

Tazuna got beat up bad. Koyori wants to help him, but she doesn't have a Nimrod. She feels useless. The idol girl is very strong. She also likes to say too many quotes.

Took this long for Kodama-chan to show up and I never guessed she would be an intellectual

I still hate the animation but the fight this episode was by far the best to date with how Tazuna got destroyed

Also god freaking dammit I want this OST right bloody now, how can I not love anything in this involving a piano

A strong super idol who has darth maul as her partner.

I wonder if this episode is a fore shadowing to Koyori finally getting some powers.

It was only a matter of time before Tazana came up against someone he couldn't beat all by himself.

lol yea I felt pretty disoriented during that scene. I also kept staring at her eyes as mini tears appeared and disappeared as it panned, it threw me off xD

I'm a fan of Kodama's design and seiyuu, but her quote quirk is a little irritating to me, especially with how she tried to explain what they meant in an out of context fashion. I do like how they gave her an intellectual background though, that was nice for an idol.
Manager kun was overbearing to me, but he had some of the best fight animation.

Overall the plot is progressing faster now, and the fights are still hectic and a little jarring still. I feel like if they reduced all the camera panning and stuff during fights, it would be a lot better, I think they're either over ambitious or are having issues with production.

Liked how Tazuna escaped, pretty smart I guess

Huh... We got a taught one.
The relationship between Tazuna and Koyori have improve a lot since the first episode and I really enjoy the "date" in it. The frustration with Koyori is real as she does want to help but she can't. However, the camera movement is pretty bad in this episode as it felt incomplete so let's hope the Blue-ray and DVD would improve it.

We got more world building in this episode. As Tazuna ask Makihara about why is the ziggurat keep on changing in episode 5 or episode 6... I forgot which one is it... Where there's a distortion in the ziggurat. If a hand shakers is close to meeting god then they can have the ability to control the ziggurat and gain other power from other hand shakers. So huh... That's pretty interesting to know. So that would means... THAT MYSTERIOUS FIGURE WE SEE IN EPISODE 5 OR 6 IS THEM?? Oh ok... Interesting.

She's not an intellectual. She just spews out quotes she knows thinking it makes her inteligent. If you notice she even uses one quote twice.

Well, at least the idol & the manager pair is kind of nice, sort of like the loli senpai & her incompetent subordinate pair. I also find it a bit cringe worthy that the idol was keep spewing some historic quotes over and over... but otherwise I find her pleasant to see. I like her. My 2nd favorite character in this show after the loli senpai.

Best part for me: when the manager was moving at FTL speed between the idol & the MC pair. It was very comical, even though that's how it's supposed to be inside the Ziggurat as Hand Shakers with super powers and stuff.

The show is unfortunately overall still in the gutters, but I can see some improvements. Luckily, my eyes have gotten used to all the colors and visual saturations so I don't feel like anything is so jarring anymore. But do the creators really need to still stick in lens flare at almost every opportunity? I mean, seriously, why??

ADDED: Amazingly, this episode was suspiciously(?) absent of delicious and yummy foods that this show just loves to display to its viewers. Yes, there was that pudding that the idol was eating, but we only saw the little plastic spoon, not the food itself. What's up with that? xD

So the name of the idol is Awaza Kodama.
I like her character design but I feel kinda uncomfortable with her constant spouting of quotes when she talks.
The first scene of this episode got some really lousy animation of her movements during performance.
The fight was kinda good and she was a tough cookie too so NICE! :D
Looking forward for more Kodama-chan in the next episode.

So her seiyuu is Mikako Komatsu, who voiced Saika from Oregairu, Tsugumi from Nisekoi, and Youto from Henneko. Interesting! ^_^

Interesting opponents this time. An idol and a wannabe Darth Maul manager made it very tough for Tazuna.

The fight against Kodama was intense, but wasn't helped by the usual jarring animation that keeps dropping frames like no tomorrow at certain angles.

Kodama herself is interesting, even though her constant quotations of famous people of the past is a little annoying.

It sucks for Koyori. She wants to help, but without a nimrod, she's a sitting target for her opponents and we do she at the end at just how upset she is. Again in this scene, the animation was very unsteady while Koyori was crying as the camera spun around the room. =/

It will be interesting to see how Tazuna and Koyori get on against these two next week. Kodama and her manager are tough, but they should have a weakness somewhere. Hopefully it will be exploited when round two of their fight starts next week.

Man both Kodama and Hibiki are so annoying. The outfit Tazuna picked for Koyori was really cute though, and the ice cream looked delicious.

Pretty sure Koyori's finally getting powers next episode (the title + the outfit we only see a small part of during the OP). Then maybe she can start speaking as well.

Koyori is one of the highlights of this, just the way they express her feelings without her having a voice is brilliant, also her cries were actually painful and hard to watch almost. The new OP idol character is good, definitely an improvement to the disappointing previous handshakers. Still cringe at the incest like pls stop its awkward.

That was a kinda sad ending. Like she was trying to speak. She couldn't even do a proper cry.

I noticed too. More interesting characterization than the repetitive short-tall pair. That self aware censoring the camera, fighting while reverse-weab quoting shows how capable she is, a godlike idol, which seems like her goal. Pretentious, but at least she 'carves' her thoughts in deeper ways than repeating 'it meshes!' or 'im aint a kid!'.
Manager va so annoying tho, but that dual wield makes Kirito & Haruyuki proud.
Animation's fine, if they fired the cameraman. Koyori scene (sans camera) was quite good too, and sad how she can't even cry aloud.

Interesting episode
This episode introduced a new character and opponent to Tezuna and Koyori in the form of the idol singer Kodama. As expected of a singer she uses her songs as weapons eh. That was pretty interesting. It seems that she's also quite knowledgeable as well as she quoted from two different leaders from history and applied those advice to herself. Her interactions with her manger were funny though.

I didn't expect the fight against Kodama to be that one sided though. So she seeked out Tezuna and Koyori almost immediately after getting to Japan eh. Tezuna did well in managing to hold her off through her first song though. Kodama's attack style makes use of kicks eh. Interesting in that she uses kicks for close range assault and her songs for long to mid range. If anything Kodama is different to the other hand shakers that they have fought so far in that she's more confident in herself and more skilled in combat as well. Still at least she doesn't have a terrible personality though. Rather she seems sincere and kind to her opponents. The manager though introducing himself in the middle of a battle. To think that this battle actually started when they decided to go shopping after receiving coupons from Makihara though. Well then again considering his personality i don't think Tezuna would know what clothes to buy Koyori anyway.
It will be a good idea to ask Lily or Chizuru as both are woman after all. Its sweet that Koyori wants Tezuna to choose though. If anything going shopping together is a sign of the increasing bond that Koyori and Tezuna have and shows just how fast their relationship is improving. Koyori sure looks pretty in that dress that she wore for the first time though. And thats when Kodama and her manager found them then. Man what inopportune timing on her part though.

If anything Tezuna isn't one that will run away from a battle and indeed is quite observant of the battlefield. Attacking Kodama when she appears to be alone was the right move but against her might it wouldn't work as well. Kodama really believes in her power then eh. That would explain why she can fight so well and hit so hard as well. Belief can be a powerful power in its own right though. Surprisingly enough despite his cheerful attitude her manager can also fight pretty well eh. While the idol times out the manager steps in eh. A double bladed light sword eh. Now thats will be quite tricky to use. Man there really is a good chance of Tezuna and Koyori losing here though. Kodama and her manager is that strong though. Combat scenes in this episode was actually pretty good and Kodama really is pretty strong. Her attack style sure makes use of a lot of flips and quick movements though. Still she fights with her full might without resorting to deception though which is why i respect her. Its nice to see that Tezuna managed to retreat from the fight though while using her large attack as a cover. But i seems that Tezuna sustained quite heavy damage eh. And quite heavy injuries as well too by the looks of it.So the more powerful a Hand shaker is the closer they are to god and conversely the more powerful they get eh. Since Kodama is a veteran she's bound to have defeated plenty of enemies before making ehr even more powerful. In aw way Tezuna was really lucky. Still its nice seeing Tezuna is still determined to win. Things must be tough for Kodama though being both a idol singer and a hand shaker. She will need plenty of stamina for both. Kodama and her manager have quite a good working relationship eh. Kodama sure is an interesting character though. She fights with such conviction that i wonder what her wish is though. It seems that she's having some trouble with management though. But man Kodama sure is good at cheering people up though. An idol turning to a god for her fans eh.

With Tezuna out of action Koyori can only speak to a limited amount of people that she;s close with. Since Lily's her age i guess it will be logical to speak to her. In a way Koyori and Lily are actually pretty similar in that they are fighting for the person they like. Thats some good advice from Lily though. Lol the lily moment is here again. Saying all that aloud when her brother was still in the room. Its sad to see Koyori like that though. She cares so much about Tezuna but is unable to express these feelings to him.

Wow didn't think the idol and her manager would end up making such a strong, apparently experienced, team. Tazuna's escape from the battle was pretty ingenious. Felt bad for Koyori when she was crying mutely by Tazuna's bedside. It was clear that she's hitting her limit with frustration over not being able to help Tazuna in battle or help protect him in turn when he protects her.

Oh, man, i felt bad for Koyori that nothing she could do to help Tazuna. The idol had a nice ability, a strong waves of sound. Then, her manager was annoying. Her design was hilarious. And his characteristic. Damn, its just like the relations between the adult loli and her subordinate. Lol. What a lazy script they had to revealed and summoned more villain to the story telling. It just felt lame ass shit, as their appearance never felt anything special at all. The pacing toward the battle was indeed a dislike point of these. It felt random, and did not suit well into the right direction. I even found it wrong and missed the punch of itself. Ridiculous, shitty matter reason again, eh? Dissapointed action, that should be the strongest point of these show. But, nope. It just appeared as the weakest spot for me, unfortunately.

Whatever. Lets just move on, then. Could Koyori awakened her power afterall shit happening to her beloved Tazuna?

What an intolerable bitch this idol is. Arrogant slut spent the entire fight parroting quotes from famous people because she has nothing of substance to say in her own words. With any luck she'll be killed for real in the next episode and I won't have to suffer through listening to her pretentious garbage any more.
