| Afro Samurai anime have USA actors on it too like Samuel L. Jackson http://myanimelist.net/character/2549/Afro_Samurai so its acceptable since its just voice acting role what matters is the anime production is japanese and this CGI movie is made in japan |
| It's a full CG movie and CG is a form of animation. It has real actors voicing the characters, not acting in the movie. The CG must be so great that you didn't realize it huh? |

Yes, it's full CG. Clearly so. It looks fantastic yes but it's still clearly CG. As for Nami, may I point out that it IS an animation. It's not a drawn animation but it is still an animation. It's on the borderline of what counts I suppose but just making this point. |

| So it is based on real actor, that's why I saw a more realistic western-ish looking character there, unlike the rest of Final Fantasy character design I ever saw. And the CG is so perfect, combine with that real life actor based design it almost could deceive my eyes. |

| Wikipedia says it's computer animated. Even if live actors are controlling the movements of the animated characters, which does happen a lot in Western computer animated works, it's still animation so it can still be called anime. There are other pure CGI anime on the database. All animation methods are accepted on MAL, even claymation and stop motion (Nami is stop motion. There are people in it, but it's made of still images, not film). Dance and vehicle related anime use a lot of CGI so there would be grey areas if pure CGI anime were excluded (you can use hand-drawn key animation to guide CGI). |

| It's not this movie looking too real. It's present live actions have too much CGI in them so your eyes get used to that kind of picture. |
