If nothing else works, the music and visuals have been on point. Overall decent episode. Biggest problem is the rushed conclusion.

KyoAni really is a regrettable and disgusting studio. As it already was not enough KyoAni completely destroy the history of the source material, which is obviously a lack of respect, ethics and an offense to the author of the original work as well as add your original content of shit excess-fanservice + yuribaite, reached the point ridiculous change the sexual orientation of the main characters especially those that are connected to the MC and also change canonical love interest of the characters by the opposite sex to people of the same sex.
For the second time in a row KyoAni is trying to turn a straight girl who is interested is in love with a man in the source material in a yuri girl making it appear that she has interested by people of the same sex and is in love with another girl.
It is regrettable first they try to transform Hibiki a heterosexual romance in a yuri anime, are now trying to turn a harem in a anime yuri, what will be the next step of Kyoani? turn a yaoi, shounen-ai or BL in yuri?
If KyoAni loves working with yuri in the your shows Why the hell they do not choose adapt source material covering the genre or else create an original show?
why the hell they have to destroy the source material? Why the hell they have to change the sexual orientation of the characters main? Why the hell they do not respect the that was written by the author? Why the hell theyhave to change the love interest canon for same-sex?
really sad to see people clapping, praising, praising and finding marvel all the shit made by this study.

The Musicz on this one is really good.
What Reina did was also the same as what Akemi Homura did, they built a world wherein all they lack in real life is there just to compensate on what they don't have in real life.
4/5.

Since episode 3 was about the past of the main female MC, and this episode was about the past of the hungry chick, I'm guessing that episodes 5 and 6 will be about the past of the two other chicks, and then episode 7 we get to the story.....

Well Reina and Mai got introduced first though.

I feel like Koito and the little girl still haven't been properly introduced yet.

Wow.

I was only talking about Reina hugging Mai in episode 04, you ridiculous doof. Mai is her stand-in big sister. She likes Mai like a sister and sisters hug.

The one whose finger she sucks is HARUHIKO.

The one who she got jealous over is HARUHIKO.

The one who snaps her out of the spell by hugging her is HARUHIKO.

The one whom she keeps getting thrown onto and fallen onto is ONCE AGAIN, HARUHIKO.

The show is practically BEGGING you to ship Reina and Haruhiko and people DO, especially me.

NOT Reina and Mai.

I never watched Hibike. I wasn't even talking about that series.

Clearly you have no argument to prove that I'm lying or that I'm wrong

Oh HAHAHAHA.

Don't argue with me, little boy. You want a fight, I will give you one. I'm so passionate about debates and defending my own opinion, I will argue with you until the cows come home and you will really regret getting into it with me, I guarantee you that.

O ma gawd dat lewd belly rub scene YAYY!!, Reina-chan is a gr8 grill, fucking kawaii and lewd. :3
Strange looking bus what's this harry potter shit mayn, so she's possessed. gotta get my gun and bullets and go save her ass then.
O lawd, reina in bunny ears kawaiiiiii!, haruhiko just got onii-chan zoned. My condolences
Why would you turn down your kawaii imouto about sleeping together, this man got 69 screws loose.
The art and animation are very good, really liking it!
Ayy we got Mai in bunny ears as well, qt
Then family drama, it wasn't bad. She'll find her home, she's already got people who will be there for her, so nothing's too bad. Just a matter of time lel and haruhiko's family is unbalanced as well it seems
Best episode so far, I liked it and 3/5.

Atmosphere & pacing finally great here, really drawn me into this trippy artsy bunny family feels.
Would've been better if they showed real interactions with her parents instead of talking about their coldness, but I suppose talking thru surveillance camera & 2 stone analogy works too.
Lots of best girl Reina faces. Haruhiko being useful. Mai does nothing, but this links with previous episode talk of the club group as "family", Reina yearning for this family, and Mai being a replacement for her sister.

Ok, think KyoAni tries to be Shaft here (Phantoms vs. Aberrations etc.) but the result is just average simple fairytale while Monogatari is on wholy different level.

Yes, those Phantoms may be just their imagination symbolizing their inner problem and while fighting it they are overcoming it but take Black Rock Shooter for example, and you almost instantly know that Musaigen just can't shine just walking the road pioneered by others.

What's left is kinda enjoyable slice-of-life albeit one not very original. Yes, this episode was somehow nice as it was the first one with self-contained structure that flowed well. But when you think about it... forcing Reina onto her real parents rather than her illusionary ones was very selfish and cruel thing to do from Haruhiko as she will suffer even further. What's more, Minase is still being pain in the ass character and you already see through KyoAni's obvious scheme "one girl an ep" is gonna continue for two more episodes at least, followed either by some fanservice or group trip part.

This show is a death march. Good thing this show is pretty because it has nothing else going for it. Especially with how stupid the main cast is. I guess you gotta have drama somehow and actually writing compelling characters and conflict is just too difficult.

i agree just hug isn't enough to call it Yuri unless they freak out & plush like when MC hugs a girl who likes him in a romantic way & he likes her same way but are still in denial or haven't realized their feeling yet, the reaction that follow the hug count & show their feelings it makes them like opened books

kinda weird how the actual issues with Reina parents got resolved off screen so easily right after they dealt with the phantom but whatever Reina was cute so i guess that's all the matters this episode right.

Still Rip bunny parents ;-;

Didn't really get resolved. They just let her join the club. Her family is probably still a mess.

MyKaze said:
Didn't like this episode at all. In the start Reina said she was enjoying her time with her friends more than being at home. So was that why she was about to choose her bunny parents and leave behind her friends? That was a dick move. Also her parents didn't seem like too big of dicks for her to decide to do that. I'll assume since the anime didn't make a big fuzz about it, her parents must have been really ok with her being in their club. So I don't get why she'd ALMOST GO LIVE WITH HER BUNNY PARENTS....

You must have a really good and well-structured family. Some people don't have this privilege.

Reina has a big appetite back at that all you can eat restaurant, That bus feels like it's from spirited away kind of feeling

Usagi Reina couldn't have asked for more, That was so cute and now Haruhiko was bewitched as well, followed up by Mai the bunny ears fit them except for Haruhuko though, And that hug snapped Reina back to sanity, and jesus she just flipped Haruhiko like bacon on a frying pan

A lot of emotions at the end of the episode but I'm glad that things worked out in the end for Reina.

Better than the previous episode, for ep3 at least there is a clear structuring and reasoning behind the story writing, which is about Reina's family. It is not too emotional, but I kinda being sympathetic towards her family life. The contrast between the phantom parents and the real ones kinda make Reina's backstory sad, like it is pathetic when your fake parents are better than the real one. Although I feel a little bit for her, it wasn't something impactful because of the lack of content for the actual description of Reyna's family life in reality. We only know that her father treated her rudely just from that microphone call when she arrived home. The reasons behind why her parents were treating her poorly were not explained, as well as the story of her sister kinda feels irrelevant at this point unless it will be touched upon in later episodes. All this lack of content for diving into her backstory leads to me having fewer connections with her, and I do not understand the sudden change of attitude of her parents before and after the event in the episode. Like no way for a parent like this will have 180 degrees of change overnight. Of course, it is understandable that this anime has a budget for no longer than 13 episodes, but I think that can be a bit costly for sacrificing the detailing of some longer story arcs or ones that need more depth into exploring the characters, like this one here. Different to the previous episode, which is complete nonsense and hard to follow, this episode makes complete sense, but kinda wastes the potential for leaving out so many details that are necessary for making the writing emotional. Looking at other KyoAni counterparts before this anime, like Hyouka, which I think is a superb series. I love Hyouka because of how detailed the storytelling is, and the reason for that to be happening is because Hyouka episodes are twice as many as this one here. People will then say Violet Evergarden also has 13 episodes only, why aren't you complaining? The reason for this is although each episode seems to be exploring individual characters in each episode, the core story writing for Violet Evergarden is actually the development of Violet, into understanding what is love via the experiences of the customers she met on the journey. The individual character arc can feel shallow, but as long as it is beneficial to moving Violet forward, they each can feel emotional. It is basically a unified and clear theme of all the story arcs that makes Violet Evergarden an emotional story, despite the not so detailed story for each arc. And of course, comparing individual episodes wise, Violet Evergarden is also better written than Myriad. For example, each episode has a very clear theme about certain aspects of love, and this allows the episode to atleast have a much clear flow and allow the audiences to understand the emotions behind the story better, within a limited episode length. For Myriad, so far there isn't a real clear theme for me to grasp the idea of: okay what is this trying to tell me?
Anyway, this lengthy shit is just my opinion. If you don't agree with me, ignore it.

Well that was patched up really easily. Are her parents assholes or not? Reina said her parents despised phantoms and didn't want Reina to do anything with them, yet they let her join the club? Feels a bit off.

Not really enjoying this show so far. Up until now each episode has been kind of like self-contained or one off. Nothing too complicated. Each episode's plot point/story is resolved in that same episode, and I imagine that's how it's going to be for the rest of the series.

I have to know though, what makes this ecchi? Episode one had some nice fanservice, but there hasn't really been anything else after the first episode, and tbh I kind of want to drop this. It's boring. Hopefully there's some fanservice coming up...
