I wasnt too sure if Id like Lupin III but it seems like itll be a fun ride. I'll probably watch the main series in about a month I suppose. And lol old anime didnt care if it had nudity in it. |
| I watched the 4/3 version. The cinemascope one is said to have some difference in voices. This abandoned prototype was a cool introduction of the main characters featuring a typical "great escape". The design felt more "manga-like", maybe because it was closer to the comic? and everything in the framing, movements, etc, made it better than a simple "trailer" should be. Enjoyment: 5/5 Score: 7/10 |

| it was a pretty jewel !!! Yes, the voices were different and the way how explained the characters were interesting...but the hardest and the great point was the characters designs, seemed more malicious, more different if compare with the actual characters, there are "sweets" !!! |
| If anyone is confused about versions of the film, the 1969 original has more dialogue lines at the beginning before the phonebooth scene. In this version, Zenigata is playing shogi by himself. In the 1978 widescreen recut, the scene begins with Zenigata already in a game of shogi over the phone with Lupin. |
