Since the board is dreadfully dull, I suggest we play a game.
Basically, it's regular "comment on the poster above" game that I'm sure many if not all of you know. So, all you need to do is to comment on the taste of the user above you, referring to his completed anime list of course, as well as top 10 or any other criteria. However it will be better if the comment would be a little bit larger then one line or sentence (i.e. His tastes rocks/sucks), so it will be more interesting, specially since we don't have a lot of members. The catch is that you can only comment on each user once, so if you commented on X people, you must wait for someone you still not commented on to reply, so in the end every member will comment on everyone.

Edited Rules;
Only make list comments on list comments (i.e. not discussions).
Discussions, like replies on someones comment on your list, tag as spoiler.

Rules explanation for dummies:
1.Person A: 1st post.
2.Person B: I think the taste of person A is X.
3.Person A: [sp oiler] comment on post 2
4.Person C: I think that the taste of person B is X.
5.Person D: [sp oiler] comment on post 2, 3 or 4
6.Person F: I think that the taste of person C is X.
etc

Who commented on who (remember, you can't comment on the same persons list twice):
Groove: mdauben, Phantom, Holy_KnightXIX, Sushikins.
mdauben: Groove.
Phantom: Groove, mdauben.
Holy_KnightXIX: Groove.
ChandraNalaar: mdauben.
Hajime_Saitou: Groove, mdauben.
Sushikins: Phantom, Westlo.
Westlo: Sushikins.

Well, since your taste in mainstream anime matches mine pretty well, most of the titles we share either are rated the same by both of us, or are only +/-1 point difference.

So, I would have to say "Good taste, Groove!" :-D

The only big differences in our lists are in your passion for Hentai. Personally, the limited sampling of the genre I have done had mostly turned me off (too "perverted" for me), so I don't really bother with it any more.

You should be crucified for giving Zero no Tsukaima 5 and 4. It got loli lead voiced by Rie Kugimiya, what else do you need?
Also your low Kanon rate seems strange to me, but I'm not a big fan enough to point it out.
You rated Code Geass lower then me, yet Eva higher then me which is kinda strange.
Your love for Ah! My Goddess definitely admiration worth, but you enjoyed sola...
In the end of the day I think our tastes are very close, definitely one of my top 3 compatible.
You should definitely watch........

W-w-w-WHAT?! Strawberry Panic 4?! Maison Ikkoku 5?! You're on my shinigami list.

I would say you should check out Spice and Wolf and Noir based on your list.

I do find it amusing that you gave Code Geass a 7 after stating that both that and Gundam 0080 are both horrible.

I guess we have very different taste when it comes to anime thought i really enjoyed Rosen maiden and Kanon (Only 2 more to go). Its no surprise after reading that Gundam 0080 thread over at AN that you don't care much for Mecha anime and im a pretty big mecha fan so our compatibility was never going to be that high lol.

I have watched more then my fair share of Hentai but i don't include it in my list as i wanted it to replace my notepad of anime episodes to help me keep track of which episode im on. Out of Hentai i would recommend Elufina - Servant Princess which also has a great ending song. You may find blood royal interesting. Its s bit strong at times but i know you wouldn't mind that and the characters do develop nicely.

Watch Alignment You! You! for the lolz. Its so funny!

EDIT: This paragraph is @ Groove, since I was typing while Phantom posted.

Our compatibility is "extremely high" at 85%, so there isn't much to nitpick on my side. I am also pleased to see you gave Sola a low score. That tripe should never have been made and as someone who endured all 12 episodes, I am forever scarred.

However, you gave Code Geass a 7, GitS an 8 and Da Capo one less mark then it deserves, so if you bash Sola in your Groovy Corner, my killing intent will be appeased.

As for the hentai, manga format is > anime format. I read that stuff only because it displays levels of creativity you wouldn't see otherwise and I find that endlessly entertaining. Otherwise, it's boring.

@mdauben: Giving Gundam Wing a higher rating than Code Geass should be a bannable offense. Same with rating GitS higher than Evangelion.

Well, make sure you watch Kino's Journey, anyway. It is at the very least good entertainment, and gives out simple yet thought-provoking themes throughout each episode.

Hmmm. problem.. Ok, let's do it this way, when you reply on someones comment on your list, tag it as spoiler, so the thread will hide it, and when someone wants to comment on someones list, reply on the last list reply and not on discussion. (ok, this sounds confusing even to me.)
What I mean is.
1. mdauben tag your stuff as spoiler
2. the one's who want to comment on someones list, comment on mine (this post) and not on mdaubens.

Phantom From your list it's obvious that we have a different look on anime indeed. Outside of the obvious differences in mecha ratings you pretty much raped FLCL (Furi Kuri). Thanks for the rec of Spice and Wolf, I heard a lot about it lately. I've seen both Blood Royal and Alignment You! (only 1 episode), I'll make sure to check Elufina out.
Since you like mecha try watching Gunparade March, my favorite mecha (that says a lot), but since we're so different in tastes I don't know if you'll like it.
Glad to see that you rated ZnT pretty high, very unexpected from you.

Holy_KnightXIX We definitely share a very high compatibility ratio. However, from your total watched list (not only our shared shows) it appears that you tend to rate shows very high, 8 and 9 mostly, only some sevens. That's why our ratio can be deceiving. I'm glad you hated sola and bashing it on Groovy Corner would certainly be a good idea, you can also look at the image thread, I did a picture about sola and DazarGaidin.
Since you rate everything very high I don't really know what to recommend to you, you seem to like action so maybe Kaze no Stigma?

I don't normally post in these types of threads, but...fine.

I don't think I need to say much for the guy above me. Onegai Teacher in the favorites list? Good taste. Done. :P

Groove, if you want I can add spoiler tags when people forget to do so.

mdauben - Your a hard person to pin down as you seem to like a whole host of shows whether they are full of action or more characters based though its clear that your most favorite shows are romantic comedy's. However you dislike less serous romantic comedy's like Zero no Tsukaima which is the best of its kind.

The easy shows to recommend which aren't on your list are Death Note, Claymore and Gundam 0080. Spice and Wolf would be something up your alley which is currently airing. I also see Berserk missing from your list. You really should watch this show or at least a few episodes to see if you like it. If not then forget about Claymore.

Glad to see you enjoyed Blue Drop. Its started a bit slow but by the end of it i really cared about all the characters and i wish things could have tuened out differently.

Please watch The Wings of Honneamise. You will rate it at least at 9 i guarantee. A true classic.

Phantom: We've only got a 67% Compatibility ratio, probably because you like certain shows I don't. Then again, you've seen Ippo, Gunbuster and Gurren Lagann, all good stuff. You did rate Zero no Tsukaima high...but on the other hand, you've also seen Detonator Orgun, maybe you should check out Tekkaman Blade.

I do however, notice that One Piece and Card Captor Sakura are absent...you may want to fix that at some point =P Like me, you seem to like a little bit of everything, with a genre a two you really like.

@ Sushi

Like me you have a pretty broad taste and are able to watch any genre, the only scores we have that are 3 points off are for the following

Blood The Last Vampure
Zero no Tsukaima
ROD OVA

How did ROD OVA get a 6 :(

Westlo: I watched it, and while it was good, it didn't exactly hold my interest the entire time. It's a show I've been open to re-watching at some point down the road, like G Gundam and The Big O.

But anyway, yeah, we're about the same with our tastes, and our favorites generally line up. You gave Gunbuster a 10 after all, bad people don't give Gunbuster a 10.

I'd say that we pretty much agree on ratings on our shared anime. The only big differences are Eva and Rumbling Hearts, ZnT has a difference of 4 as well. From your complete anime list I can definitely see that you enjoy mecha a lot (considering how many gundams you've watched) as well as typical shounen mainstreams (bleach and one piece), so in that comparison we differ a lot.
Basically it's hard to say either we actually differ or not, I'd say that we are. Specially looking at your top 30 in your profile, that shares only 1 show with my top 10, and got a lot of shows that I hated.
Edit: Just as I did to Phantom, I recommend you to watch Gunparade March. It combines both your beloved mecha, and romantic school comedy that you seem to like as well. Besides, you rated FMP very high and people sometimes compare those two.
