| It didn't really feel like much happen in this episode. The main highlight of the episode for me was the jump and the mech grabbing that great sword with one hand. |

| Wow that fat general is stupid. Surely no one sane would just stand there getting shot at while the enemies can hide behind rocks? the troops' initial movements were so amateurish (who concentrated all their force in one pack and move together? that's like asking to be slaughtered faster) and as locals, they sure don't take advantage of their familiarity with the terrains. Even the enemies are smart enough to hide in high grounds and yet this fatso just charged head on, throwing away his defense to use his fancy new sword that (surprise, surprise) got blown away with one shot. It's a wonder how this guy even became a general. |

Overall a good episode, but for the life of me I can't understand why they're attacking Krishna is they already KNOW that Orlando tricked them. It's a political thing I think. Based solely on my anime watching, as I haven't seen the movies for this series: The borders for all four nations makes it so that Orlando would never have been able to attack Athens if it hadn't gone through Krishna first. But since Krishna did let them pass through, they've been deemed an accessory of war. Now since Athens is going on the offensive to retaliate on Orlando, they need to send out a strong signal that violence towards themselves is not tolerated, thus the attack on the weaker nation of Krishna. Once they annex Krishna as a part of Athens, then their border will align with Orlando's. As both Orlando and Athens seem to be huge nations, it's unknown (and perhaps unlikely) whether the two nations will attack each other. In effect, the reason why Zeiss thinks Krishna is being set up is because if the outcome of the war is the one predicted, then Krishna as a nation will cease to exist. There are probably some fairly powerful people behind the scenes trying to make this happen, since this is pretty much a valid reason for them to expand their borders, and no one would complain if you had more lands and people to tax upon now would they? What I tend to believe here though, is that after all that's been said and done, Zeiss doesn't know the details about the surrender (that his two friends would have to be executed) or else he would have opposed it strongly, probably to the point of sitting out the war. I noticed how in all of the scenes, no one has mentioned even once to him that his best friends have to actually die, so he probably thinks that Athens will actually treat them humanely once they surrender (hence the insistence that they hurry up with it, to avoid the unnecessary bloodshed) Rygartt is a pacifist-idealist. He doesn't want to fight, but at the same time he doesn't want his friends to die. Because he has explicit knowledge of the conditions of surrender, he is willing to go the lengths to save his friends lives. I find it kind of stupid that he actually believes everyone else and their uncle actually know of the conditions of surrender (i.e. dead King and Queen), when his own King explicitly stated that everything is "off the records". I find it even funnier that he believes that Weiss, a 25 year old commander of a small battle unit, would know of the "unspoken conditions". I mean, get with the program, man, your own King hides the conditions from his citizens, and yet you don't think that Athen's ruling party wouldn't hide inhumane stuff like that from their own military? You have way too high of an opinion of the enemy's honor there. In any case, misunderstandings between friends will cause them to duke it out during the war, but the true battle is behind the scenes, methinks. I've never been much for thoughtless mecha animes, but thoughtless, this title is not. Looking forward to how this all pans out. One question though. |

| If they do exactly from the manga, then theres potential for a second season. As for the movie tho, there wasn't cause it took a different path and landed on a dead end sadly. |

| 5/5 Why always cut the highlight? The best movie on this side. I must say, the strategic plan and mecha, is one of the best; I can not wait to see the highlight of the series. Bello, however, beyond of what, revise this series. Too bad that here on MAL is seen only by four cats ... Finally, I hope that after this series there is a further series! * w * |

| lol how come Zess and this group, a total of 5, can cause this much damage? And what's worse is that they've taken no casualties. How can this Krishna as shitty country as it is, withstand an attack from 200 of those robots? they are doomed. |
