About Helen (spoiler warning!): The name "Helen" is a transliteration of the Japanese "Heren" (ヘレン), pronounced "he-ren". "Helen" is of Greek origin, meaning "sun ray" or "shining one." Perhaps a reference to a personality that stands out from the crowd. Name of Helen of Troy. Nothing is known about Helen's past, save that she was critical of Deneve about her reckless fighting style. Helen is known for being rather hot-tempered and aggressive. Her sometimes insensitive nature gives an impression of her as something of a bully, but that isn't the truth about her; she's an exciting and important character with the right values. You'll see her smile and joke a lot too - she has charisma. She seems to have an unusually big appetite for a Claymore (preferring apples) and is the only one seen eating and drinking for fun. Helen is 175 cm tall. She was Claymore No. 22 of the 135th generation (though still alive). She caused trouble for clients, and partially Awakened when she lost control in battle, nearly being overwhelmed by the impulse. Helen met Clare on her first Awakened Being Hunt. She immediately gave Clare a hard time about taking Raki, calling him her "plaything." When she hears what Clare's rank is, she busts up laughing at the idea of Clare even being there, going on to taunt Clare all the way until the actual hunt. Helen grew fond of Clare soon after. Helen was one of the 24 Claymores chosen to fight in the Northern Campaign along with Deneve. She greeted Clare in her trademark brash manner and was surprised to find her accompanied by Jeane. Being assigned to Veronica's team, she's playing a vital part with her extendable arm ability. Deserting the Organization after the Northern Campaign, she wears a black jumper, light shoulder plates, and high collar top. She is the most conservatively dressed of the Seven Ghosts (see the group in the picture album). When Helen was still a part of the Organization, she wore a regulation uniform, in addition to "extenders". These were highly durable, extremely flexible, portions of fabric that provided protection over her arms. These allowed her coverage while using her special attack. Her known abilities: 1. I'm not sure but I think this rating is not up to date; after the Northern Campaign Helen trained hard alongside Miria, Deneve, Cynthia, Tabitha, Yuma and Clare for seven years to perfect their fighting skills. Behind the Scenes: Helen's voice actress is Miki Nagasawa and her English voice actress is Jamie Marchi. She has a song on the Claymore Intimate Persona CD sung by her Miki Nagasawa, called Full Lyrics for Doukoku, meaning "wailing" (in the comments section is a link to this amazing song!).
