First thought: The art style looks great! A return to form and no weird CGI shit. The animation looks decent, though I have to see more to be able to tell. I'm hoping there are some standout sakuga moments in his iconic fights. I'm not "loving" the trailer music. I'm hoping but not holding my breath for a revisit the of original ost or at least keep it in the same vein. From the title, this looks to be a retelling of the 1996 anime and the first volume of the manga: "Meji Swordsman Romantic Story". I hope they don't fuck it up, and actually expand on the Jinchu arch and not just make this a "retelling".
