@TypeLX posting a web archive of my old favorite anime from a decade + ago, privating their entire profile, leaving MAL forever. Iconic weirdo behavior

Nice one, lad

Yeah. Emotionally fucked up shy girls are interesting. I notice you have Anthy as your favorite character so maybe you can relate? lol.

Hey, you were born one day after me!

How's Hawaii? Do you like living there?

Hey, we haven't talked in years. I'm pretty sure I didn't read a single book in 2017 lol. I ended up rereading from the beginning and finally finishing In Search of Lost Time earlier this year. Got back into literature for a brief period and then kinda stopped again. I'm pretty bad at this, dunno if my list really helps much since it's so canon oriented. On the other hand I recently found my two favourite videogames (Pathologic, The Void) and a visual novel I wholly connected with for the first time (SeaBed). I probably won't be exploring those mediums much further at the moment, aside from Pathologic 2, since they're way too time consuming and I'm in a fully film mood right now. On the anime front, I really liked Gamba, Gutsy Frog and Tomoyasu Murata's works and I have high hopes for Liz and the Mirai Mizue movie.

Hey man, you sent my a friend request probably months ago at this point and I've only just seen it because MAL's friend feature is finally up and running again. How's it going?
RabbitTear34 May 21, 2018 3:01 AM
Oh, so you've seen Eureka or The Mirror and even the little weird Love Exposure. Can I ask for the movies (maybe japanese ones too) you love the most because I'm always searching for more great experiences and your taste could lead me to new love for other movies, haha :)
And you know artists like Tim Hecker and Ichiko Aoba. That's great. Are you addicted to ambient, drone and atmospheric folk like I am?
RabbitTear34 May 15, 2018 12:52 PM
Hi, thank you for the request. I love your favs. Seeing Heidi there, let me reflect some wonderful memories of my youth. And I'm really happy to meet someone who shares the love for Gogo Monster, Children of the Sea, Utena, YKK, Punpun and Feeling from Mountain and Water. And you've read quite a lot :)
Funny you're only one month older than me, haha what a coincidence :3

Happy Birthday. :)

Hope, it will be a very lovely year for all of us. :)

And, I'd like to tell you that I also have seen Sailor Moon in the meanwhile. I just can't go wrong with your favourite choices. They're all amazing. And as guessed, Usagi is just incredible.

I normally hate series like these, but I don't understand... everytime I saw Usagi on screen, she put a stupid smile on my face and made me so happy, haha. The whole show just made me so happy, actually. And, not just Usagi, but all the girls in the series are amazing. I'm deeply fond of Rei and Ami, as well. :)

Merry Christmas! I'm very glad that I've have met a person like you on this site. :)

So far the show hasn't addressed directly the idea of the Great Man theory. It does talk a lot about how different the outcome would've been if each of the main agents had been born in the opposite side.

Yeah, the ideas of historic recurrence can sound even laughable at some points, speccially when you think how close to the nazis Rudolf's rulership was.

I don't know I agree about the presence of Whiggish, though. In fact, I'd say that the opposite is more likely, as the insistency of the shows politicians in old mistakes sees to configure more of an issue in the narrative.

About LotGH: "The positives have been stated many times, so the negatives: the Terraist subplot and the side characters are underwhelming. Truisms galore, not very insightful, and historiographically questionable"

I'd like to ask you to develop these points, specially the "truism" and "not very insightful" parts.

yeah i still haven't really been able to motivate myself to sit down and commit to anime. i watched and liked a few things lately like kare kano, eve no jikan and pale cocoon. but i doubt i'm gonna pick anything up this season, or even finish re:zero lol.

but yeah i watched syndromes and a century and a brighter summer day some time ago and i was so impressed! it's like oh ok so here's the good shit! seems like i need to try and get into film again huh
satellitelines Jul 25, 2016 7:38 AM
oh thanks for the worry, i'm ok! all the attacks still seem kinda far away, it's weird. can't deny it's a bit worrying though. i hope the political climate won't shift even more to the right then it already has for the last year or so. flat out racism has become pretty much acceptable again, it's incredibly sad tbh :(
