both anime involvo a superb pilot with a quality that their respective societies find detestable in some way. both also involve beautiful women who help the pilot in significant ways

They may not have a very similar feel to one another, with The Sky Crawlers being more slow paced and philosophical, but both movies are visually stunning and are about pilots with great dogfights.

Flying, airships, warring factions, royalty, and dogfights. Last Exile Ginyoku and Toaru Hikuushi share these characteristics. Combined with an engaging and memorable story. You will love both.

Both adventure series use a similar setting featuring traditional propeller airplane technology. Human relationships are charming and romantic, helped by a great soundtrack.

Both shows share similar situations with the female leads, with both starting off as princess, however due to unforeseen events they lose their noble attitude and show a more rebellious/adventurous side. They both also have a sweet romance in them

They have a similar feel. Both are wholesome romances between goodhearted, determined characters. Both are also a romance between royalty and a commoner with no status.

Both feature flying/piloting a propellor plane in a fantasy-like setting, making for exciting adventures, accompanied by great camerawork and sound.

Both of the anime is about war between two nation. in "Nejimaki Seirei Senki", Katjvarna Empire and Kiorka Republic, while in "Toaru Hikuushi e no Tsuioku" Levamme Empire and the Amatsukami Imperium. and both of the main character is a "HALF" between two nation. if you like war story than you might like it :)

One is a hostage situation, the other an escort situation. Both have a white haired princess with one interacting with demons while trying to sleep, and the other interacting with a pilot while seeking refuge. Both are heartwarming and get intense at important scenes. A bit of romance too.

Both give a very similar feeling. Both have futuristic monarchies that are plunged into war. Both have princesses that fall in love with their protectors despite being betrothed to a prince. The MCs are both underdogs, whether it be because of nonability or because of social class. Break Blade focuses more on the MCs fighting and struggle, while Princess and the Pilot focuses more on their romance. Break Blade can be summed up as a battle focused Princess and the Pilot with mechs. Vice versa, Princess and the pilot is a romance focused Break Blade with fighter planes.

Pilots in both adventure series are trusted with delivering an important female cargo.

The love of flight and planes.

Both are great movies. The similar thing is the after feeling you get after watching both movies. You'd love how both main characters develop deep feelings for each other but they also both know they can't be with each other.

These two movies permeate a particular atmosphere - an atmosphere comprised not with the emotions relative to that which is found in a jubilant romance, but rather the emotions relative and considered undeniably inevitable in that of an ephemeral relationship.

Both films share several common elements, including airborne situations, challenging circumstances, overcoming imminent threats, the development of a bond between the main male and female protagonists, and the unwavering dedication to fulfill their respective missions.
