You could say Joshi Kousei is what Seitokai Yakuindomo was before the school became gender co-ed. Both containing plenty of crude and sexual jokes/humor/etc.

Both anime transcend their genre stereotypes quite well. They deal with issues a teenage girl might encounter in a hyperbolic way. Some of the characters from B Gata H Kei might feel familiar if you watched High School Girls, but they don't overstay their welcome.

Both hilarious stories about groups of girl friends in schools, with no romance, just pure comedy

both the female leads eriko takahashi and tenma tsukamoto are childish and happy-go-lucky

Similar sex humour premise. Stranger series like same school girls live thematic.

Similar comedy taking place in all-girls high school

They're both funny, and are about the problems you have to put up with in an all-girls high school! Also, Freddy Crab likes how both animes have short-skirted girls in them ( He sighs happily)

both series featured post-credits scenes after the closing sequence as an epilogue to the main episode

All girls school, no main male character, place in the same scenarios, each main character has very similar personalities to the characters in Gokujo, very ecchi and pure comedy.Ayano in Joshi Kousei and Saya in Gokujo are both voice by Mamiko Noto. These two anime are so alike the only difference would be that Joshi Kousei is 24 minutes of pure awesomeness while Gokujo is only six minutes :(

D-frag has some similar humor to JK's, especially later in the series. Both show high school girls doing dumb things.

Ideally I'd make a manga recommendation, but since I've only read High School Girls: The way a bunch of spaz girls at an all-girl school get together to talk about love and how to go about getting a boyfriend puts them on the same page. HSG - so far, at least - is a lot more... vulgar, with hair removal/tampons/anuses being touched upon, but the basic idea of a bunch of clueless girls gathering together to discuss males for the purposes of comedy as they deal with school life is the same. It remains to be seen whether only 2/5 of the girls in Love  read more

Joshi Kousei is essentially the female version of Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou. In Girl's High, the girls at an all-girl's school do random things, have crazy thoughts, and fantasize about what it would be like to have a boyfriend. Similarly, in Daily Lives of High School Boys, the boys at an all-boy's school do random things, have crazy thoughts, and fantasize about girls. Joshi Kousei has some panty shots, but Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou has boys wearing panties on their head. If you like Joshi Kousei, you'll probably like Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou. If you liked Danshi, be aware that Joshi Kousei is more dramatic and has  read more

in girls high, there is one girl who aspires to be an actress, while in love get chu, 5 girls aspires to become voice actresses, and also green haired, glasses wearing girls, rinka suzuki and ayano sato

both series are typical anime of 6 main characters each, though girls high is the comedy version while lamune is the drama version. the most similar looking characters of these series are yuma suzuki and hikari nakazato for being the most quick tempered

Feminine raunch abound. Period jokes, girls wanting to have sex just to have it, and some slight yuri subtext as well.

Though style in Manabi is completely different both series tells about life in a high school and friendship between girls..

Lucky Star is a little but more silly but it's sorta like High school girls. It's about highschool girls doing crazy things too.

Both shows are about a bunch of girls and their slice-of-life adventures. Hatsukoi is a bit more serious, while High School Girls is a bit more comedic.

6 girls plus ecchi plus two minor female characters who are in love with each other, koi koi 7 has Isuzu Yamada and Subaru Satou while girls high has nao koshiba and sayaka mouri, and the heroines are all students of an all-female school

Both are set in an all-girls high school. The overall art style is similar, but Marimite's execution is much more polished and detailed. Marimite is similar to HSG in the eye candy aspect. The plot differs greatly. HSG is a light and happy comedy, with sexual sprinklings here and there. Marimite explores the themes of clandestine affairs and struggles with sexuality all behind the closed doors of a private Catholic girls school. It's definitely much more serious, but it doesn't go without its moments.
