Shinrei Tantei Yakumo

Yakumo is, in essence, a more rushed and poorly written version of Ghost Hunt. The two leads and their relationship is the same in both, though in Ghost Hunt the heroine's thoughts are expressed internally frequently, which makes her have far more depth and spunk than the hollow shell of a character that is Haruka. And the episodic stories themselves are far more involving and, at times, creepy than the average predictably on show in the first few Yakumo episodes. 

Both of these happen to have a dark side to the story line, both deal with the supernatural and have a majorly gothic style to the drawings. 

Hyouka and Shinrei Tantei Yakumo do share some similar points, but are also at the same time quite different. • both stories mainly deal with mystery cases and how to solve them • this brings authomatically to have a very brilliant main character, in both series, who is able to solve them • both are setted into a school background and both have the "club" theme as well • still, both have a noticeable dose of weirdness: STY has of course a strong supernatural genre, and Hyouka has somewhat special scenes involving unknown powers (the girl's curiousity-catchphrase has it easy when wants to pursuade the main chara in changing his decisions) Now instead to the different part: • substantially Yakumo has a heavy dark atmosphere; while Hyouka is quite much slice of life and doesn't exclude comic scenes, which overall gives it definitely a happier atmosphere. This might look "just one thing" but it really does make the difference. Anyway i thought to recommend both, because even if they can give different "vibes" since they are totally setted with different atmospheres, they still recall one another. You might like Yakumo if you liked Hyouka, and viceversa. read more 

Un-Go & Shinrei Tantei Yakumo: both are mystery genre with a good capable detective as main character that has to solve cases; as well a supernatural factor grows bigger in both by every episode. If you liked one of them you might probably enjoy the other too! 

Similar duo of protagonists ( leaders with a difficult personality and their cute and caring assistant ) who solve mysteries while a bad guy is lurking in the dark. Both have a similar rhythm and narrative drive. Pretty relaxing and quiet anime despite a latent darkness. 

Both stories are dark Gothic tales looking into whether Murders are really caused by the supernatural or if there is a real life murderer involved. 

both of these anime are about solving mysteries and there's romance between the female main character and the male main character the difference between the two is that detective conan is more based on logic and more "real" and psychic detective yakumo is more based on supernatural reasoning there's suspense in both animes and both are worth watching if you like on then you'll like the other you'll fall in love with both the main characters personality and theres no annoying side characters in both animes  

Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro and Shinrei Tantei Yakumo are fairly similar as you may have guessed by the title itself, both being in the genres of Mystery and Supernatural. The main characters are also seemingly similar, a male and a female. Both leading females have lost a family member that they loved, and happen to meet the leading males, who have a special ability that help solve the cases within the series. So, if you're a fan of vise versa - do watch.  

Dark, gothic tales dealing with people who can see things they are not, or should not be able to see. There is a mystery that lies under the whole thing, that bends and brings one into the story. 

because both of the main characther have um don't know how to say it but they are like the same with the eye. 

Both have a protagonist with a power in his eyes. Every episode the protagonist deals with supernatural things. The voice actors are the same for the main girl and the main boy in both animes.  

Both are detective type animes that involve murders but have a weird twist to them.

Both have the same feeling that it gives off. Neither are really "horror", but both deal with the dead. Yakumo and Natsuno resemble each other as well. 

Very similar plot where the main guy solves mysteries regarding supernatural events, has a police officer by his side helping him, as well a naive student girl that always gets in to trouble and is saved by him and a stalker villain that wants to catch the girl to make the protagonist suffer and to make him return to his side.  

Both the protagonists have secrets in their family that help drive the stories to their conclusion and the final ending. It is a dark Gothic with lots of death and a nice mystery of trying to figure out the bigger picture. 

There a sense of mystery involving supernatural cases in both Shinrei Tantei Yakumo and Supernatural the Animation. They both deal with strange events that happens that are abnormal and otherwordly. These cases are usually bizarre and requires special skills to deal with. Luckily, our main protagonists from both series are specialists who are able to deal with these cases. Both series' main male protagonists are experienced in what they do although there are times when they get caught off guard. These usually involves in cases where their partner/friend's life becomes in danger. The theme of detective fiction comes to play in both of these series. Also, the main protagonist is intelligent has an aid there to help them when in need (the main heroine). Additionally, there is a psychological thriller like feeling in some of the cases that gives the viewer the question of doubt. Drama and small hints of romance are also present.  

Both protagonists are spiritual detectives and chase bad guys.  

Both series contain mystery, drama and suspense. More than that is carried out by two school boys, who are involved in cases of crimes, which are always around them. They will solve those mysteries, as they will feel that they must, since they have been involved, both guys will help a detective solve those mysteries. One of the protagonists feels a certain attachment to the other. Both with a supernatural air, showing us the worst that can reach the human. A series of mini stories, which may or may not be connected to the past of one of the protagonists, which hides a dark secret. 

Both are mystery shows in which a young lady gets involved with a handsome man that happens to be a detective of some sort.  

Similar horror atmosphere. similarities include -Supernatural male character(s) -A female character whose fate changes in some way upon meeting said male character(s) -Something to do with dead people and or spirits -characters are sorta similiar 

These anime are about a guy, who solves some supernatural cases and are helpful for the local police. The appearance and thinking of both protagonists is similar as well. Both stories are divided into two parts. First part is about the cases and the second part is about the protagonist's unclear past, to which they want to find a key. 

Both protagonists are somewhat detective like and they enjoy reallife puzzles where failing could mean death. They both have weird/special eyes with a weird power. These animes are filled with danger which makes it more interesting to watch. 

If you like Shinigamis, you'll like both these series. Bleach is funnier and, regarding the narrative style, Yakumo is very similar to Death Note. 

Mystery and supernatural powers. Shinrei Tantei Yakumo and Wizard Barristers: Benmashi Cecil shares a little of both elements involving the main characters and their stories. Despite not having similar settings, they convey a mysterious atmosphere in relations to their stories. In particular, the main character gets involved with cases that not only puts their lives at risk but also reveals more about themselves with others.  

-About detectives and police who solves murder mysteries, and must deal with the living, as well as the memories of the dead. -Each has two main characters: one has a secretive and acidic personality, and the other wants to figure out what burdens he carries to make him that way. -Has something to spice up a plain mystery storyline (Shinrei has supernatural elements, and Himitsu has sci-fi) -Both have a lot of horror and creepiness. Himitsu is a LOT more gory (but I think it's the more interesting of the two). 

Similarity consists in the supernatural ability and in the genre, which includes supernatural and detective elements.  

Both have mysterious atmosphere and characters with special abilities, both have one issue for an episode. Both have magic and paranormal stuff. Amon is like Yakumo. If you liked Witch Hunter Robin, you will like Shinrei Tantei Yakumo. 

Well plots are indeed very different but they still do share an important dark and mysterious atmosphere during the whole stories. Both anime are about death and both face arguments like revenge and particular powers. A strong supernatural theme is the background for both of the series and both main characters (Yakumo and Ai) have a similar quiet personality. If you already watched one of those, you could easily like the other as well~ 

Both of these are gothic styled detective series that deal with the psycological asspect of a persons psyche to solve the case, whether real or supernatural. They speak for the dead because the dead can't do it. 

The two series feature on a male-female relationship in unusual circumstances. Dantalian and Yakumo both are heavy on the supernatural elements and do this in a sort of mystery of the week style.  

Both stories deal with the tracking down of the supernatural and dealing with them so they won't effect other people. 

The two main characters of STY are similar to Yuki and Zero of Vampire Knight. The dark atmosphere is the same, and while one show is about vampires, the other is about ghosts.

the maincharacters are alike. they both have a supernatrual eye and they have personalities thet remind you of one another. also the animes give of the same feeling. 

Found these two anime similar coz of some main characteristics . Both have two world parents story, although DMC is less emotional.Basics of those two stories are very much the same, you have Yakumo whos mother is human and father is some being form the other side, and you have the same thing for Dante. Also the way customers come to Dante, Yakumo has his place where people who need help come.  

The similarity of the two has is that they both have a detective and mystery solving plot line to it. Both Kindaichi and Yakumo are both really young detectives at their age. They both help solve many difficult murder cases that even the police can't even solve.  

Both main characters are able to see spirits and they are involved in supernatural events.
