Both are about kids in elementary. The energy in both series is fast paced and exaggerated, and feature cool male leads. Very cute, and very similar. Even the main characters in both look alike.

Kamichama Karin features kids with the power of gods, Gakuen Alice features kids with special magic powers. Lots of things happen while they are at school. And well, Karin and Mikan (main protagonists respectivly^^) look alike and their characters are quite similar too. Same goes for other characters! Humor is quite alike, and of course the kawaii-ness factor is very, very high in both shows....means frequently appearing animals and various frilly costumes for the girls, cute/cool outfits for the boys.

ichigo is like mikan she is clumsy, funny and cute. the story has a taste of MAGIC

Both series revolve around elementary school students with special abilities! Lots of character development and the themes of friendship and believing in yourself.

Both their stories are driven by their own unique concept of magic.
report Recommended by maoyasama
Both Cute, romantic and magical and both the main characters in Gakuen Alice are soo similar to the two mains in CCS

If you can take Kirarin Revolution's laughing, angry, crazyness of the main character kirari, then you can take Mikan Sakura's emotions! They are like the same!! It's sooo kawaii!!! <3333

Both involve an academy where magic is the main subject. The protagonists of Quiz are older than the ones in Gakuen Alice, nevertheless both are funny, light-hearted anime with a cast of amusing sidekicks, unusual teachers and a main girl who constantly gets bad grades.

Government-established elite schools for gifted children with super powers. Perfectly ordinary main characters (reunited with their prodigious childhood friends) without any strenght or specialty - for the first fifteen minutes. Powerful, genius boys with unapproachable personalities. Lots of quirky (pun intended) classmates, unique teachers and comedic antics. Despite being of different demographics, both deal with themes of friendship, bullying, doing good and pursuing goals.

its both romantic comedy the girl is so unawer of the love its kinda the same if you LOVE GAKUEN ALICE YOU WILL TOTALY LOVE SPECIAL A

Being special is never easy and in both of these series, the protagonists are definitely something at that. Both series have a similar setting involving an elite school to train special people to control their powers along with a ranking system. The protagonist of both anime(s) meets others, whether friend or foe and learn more about them, their powers, but most importantly, about themselves. These two anime(s) are both lighthearted but does contain drama, action, and comedy. Being special is never easy.

unlike in LS in GA they have a main character. except for one of the girls obvious obssesion with anime and manga they both have the same energy and random comedy so if you liked one you'll enjoy the other

Gakuen Alce and Magic-Kyun! are both school based animes that primarily follow one girl, and a group of students with unique abilities. Although it's not solely art and Gakuen Alice is primary school not high school there are a lot of similarities between the Arte of Light and the young Alice users. Both of these bring you on a different adventure and they will both find ways to play with your heart and have you wondering where you're headed after getting through the 'introductory period'
report Recommended by kawaii1324
Both shows are school comedies. Both take place in a special school based on ranking.

Though the anime has less action and seriousness the manga does Both main girls were left in the care of strangers because their parents wanted to keep them safe Both girls use nullification Both main guys use fire Both have shadow users So if you enjoy this anime you should also find this one to interesting as well

Both Gakuen Alice and Kobato have similar humor, and characters. Mikan and Kobato are innocent, kind hearted, clumsy, and a bit stupid. Natsume Hyuga and Kiyokazu Fujimoto, they are sarcastic, both are concern for Mikan/Kobato though they didn't show it. Then there's Ruka and Doumoto, they are kind-hearted, they like Mikan/Kobato and both of them are childhood friends or Natsume/Kiyokazu. The stories both have magic and helping other people. So if you like these characters, you may want to try watching this.

Well, Gakuen Alice and Mamotte! Lollipop both have powers in the anime. Also, there are love I must add. There are love triangles in both of them, but not in the exact same way. Gakuen Alice = Mikan developed feelings for Ruka and Natsume but is too oblivious to understand love. Then again, she can't decide. Mamotte! Lollipop = Nina likes Zero, but there's Ichii. Both of them protect her since she has the pearl. But, she developed more feelings than just protecters. She might fall in love with both of them, if they make a move.

Gakuen Alice has the same silly sense of humor as OHSHC. The characters are quite different, but, I dunno, I find that these two series just go hand in hand. If you read the Gakuen Alice manga as well as the OHSHS manga, you'll find that there are some characters from both stories that have quite dark pasts. Both heroins, Mikan and Haruhi, are loved by a variety of different characters. They themselves, however, are mostly clueless to this love. MOSTLY. ;) They're both very cute, very funny, and definitely worth a look.
report Recommended by ASHGARY
Both series revolve around schools that have students with special abilities and show them how to use/control them. As well, it deals with the not so scholastically brilliant main character having nullification powers, and being caught in a love triangle.

Both animes have people with special powers. In Gakuen Alice those powers are called Alice. In Milky Holmes those are called Toys
report Recommended by yuyano
Both of them are shoujo animes, in which the protagonist (girl) studies/lives in a school for people with powers. Both of them are very lighthearted and sweet, and make you feel happy and calm. Besides this, in both, the main girl is not very good with her power (the worst of the class), and makes people around her laugh. With time, both animes start to get more serious.

A magic academy. A new student with no visible special ability. A mysterious student with fire control ability. Secrets behind. Similarity: **** 1/2
report Recommended by yomu
Similar magic and school setting. In Gakuen Alice it's called Alice and in Mamoru-kun it's Beatrice, both being abilities though Alices are much more specific.
report Recommended by shadowraze
Both shows explore relationships between people. In both shows, the main character must learn to deal with being different from those around her. Both characters have trouble with controlling emotion that creates an element of comedy (though in Ebihara's case, the output of her ability is directly connected to her emotional state).

At the start of this, seeing the main character immediately brought my thoughts to MIkan from Gakuen Alice. Aside from their dangerously close art design and description, their personalities were almost spot on for one another -- cute little girls with pigtails that are constantly bullied by boys, etc. You get the gist. They're that precious type of personality. The main boy also had some similar physical characteristics to Gakuen Alice's main love interest, Natsume. Their personalities are on opposite ends of the spectrum, but that is what makes for a good differentiation. Plots are obviously different, on a grand scale at least, but they  read more

In both shows, children grow up with special abilities. The tone of the shows differs, as does the means of separating children with abilities from those without. Gakuen Alice allows glimpses of a darker side hidden beneath the cheery child adventures of the main character, which creates a similar feeling that the world is not as pleasant as we are meant to think it is.

Both anime have to do with comedy, romance, and shoujo. They tell about school life in ways that are different but at the same time not. Gakuen Alice and Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun are both really similar when it comes to characters, only it's like they kind of switched the personalities around. Shizuku and Haru are like the older versions of Mikan and Natsume in high school. It also seems that at first both main female characters see the main males as her rival/someone they really don't like much. All together they are very similar and different.
report Recommended by hinata3487
Both have a kind but dense 12 year old girl main protagonist with twin tails. Both shows have romance but gakuen alice is more focused on fantasy, comedy and its story goes a lot deeper than 12-sai
report Recommended by Thnx4dafood
Both have children who are not like normal human children. Both handle violence in a way that is suitable for younger viewers. There is a very lighthearted feel to both.

the story is looking similar with the anya forger story in school . sakura mikan is happy energy people same like anya forger and damian desmond is very same with hyuga natsume tsundere boy

-Both main character has powers without them knowing really much -Both main character similar characteristics -Both male character are very violent stubborn, thinks the main character is weak and don't like them/don't accept them, -Both male character ends up developing feelings and falling for main character -Both reverse harem sort of -Both revolves around magic -Both male main character use to be super violent, destructive, nobody could tame them before until they met a special someone -Both really good animes that will keep you laughing non-stop in every episode. so cute, so good, you will not regret watching it! Don't judge an anime by it's cover!!

They both include characters oblivious of their supernatural powers and are given a goal to master them. They're different but quite similar... first they start off as funny and silly cartoons with a pretty twisty plot and then turn into serious and touching anime. Despite the fact that Trigun is more aimed at teens and Gakuen Alice is for children, but they both share quite similar aspects in plots and character development too. The main characters are indeed crybabies, klutzy and also cowardly with mysterious and determined friends by their sides.
report Recommended by Angry_Anime_Nerd
Both are shows that are very upbeat. There are moments of drama, but comedy always dominate. Both has a main character that enters an entirely different setting full of magical or people with magical abilities. Weird characters are also present in both

basically Alice to Zouroku in reverse. a girl with an exceptional talent compared to all the other talents goes into a special compound designed to protect normal society from these special people to save her friend and ends up learning about life and how confusing it can be and that not everyone is a good person deep down....... i'm gonna be one of those people and say the manga was better, for really no other reason than more in-depth back story and continuation of the story; although the ending really sucked......
report Recommended by wolfbreed699
i really got the same feel because they both started out normal people in a school in a small town then they get recruited by people with special powers.
report Recommended by animegod21
Gakuen Alice and Kill la Kill both have the star ranking system, where if you're a no star you end up with really poor living conditions, in both schools there's one person in charge and feared over everyone else, both schools also have the special ability thing where they look down upon people who don't have any cool ability's, in Kill la Kill its they're uniform and in Gakuen Alice its they're Alice's. Gakuen Alice is more for a younger audience and there isn't as much violence.

both mikan and janggeum have a goal to get in place where only special people can get in. and they are trying hard to be recognised by people. I think if you like this anime you will like the ither too.

Though the overall plot is different in that one has to do with school and the other a kingdom, they both have similar elements. -both boys in the animes are standoffish with that cold kind of personality. And they looks alike too! -both girls have magical powers -both have an ultimate romance in them(although in gakuen Alice you have to read the anime for them to kiss --it's just kind of hinted at on the anime) -the girl saves the boy in an emotional sense. Anyway, both are spectacular and I highly recommend them.

Ciel is so much similar to Natsume. Cold, Distant, Emotionless, yet soon you see what lies behind those cold eyes. Revealing to you a wounded soul that needs much love, and that is where you find Gakuen Alice. The anime that will light your world, bringing you out of that depressive state of only knowing how to kill, how to hurt, how to destroy. The two anime's are very similar in so many ways, except for the killing, it doesn't brutally show you up close the 'bloody marks'

The trend of kids using possessing supernatural abilities is a popular trend going on in the anime industry. For Gakuen Alice and Fate/kaleid liner Prisma☆Illya, the main female protagonist inhibits special abilities. In essence, they attend a school where meet both friends and rivals. The main female protagonist from both series are considered kind and often willing to help others in need. However, they are a bit naive with some common sense. Regardless, their kindness and generosity earns her many friends even with rivals. There's many humorous dialogues present in both series with drama. Some small hints of romance are also present as well.
report Recommended by Stark700
Both have an innocent and powerful main protagonist who's... dense. Not to mention girl main characters. Featuring funny romance, loyalty, battles, lovable characters and little tragedy, these anime will make your day. the only negative about them is their episodes are limited however quality beats quantity and if you still haven't had enough you can always find out what happens next in the continuing manga.

both anime are about magical powers they both take place in schools. both anime have very similar romance stories as well. both main female protagonist have special powers out of the ordinary

Several of the characters are very similar in looks and in personality. The teddy bear is in both, Kana is like the high-energy Mikan, Touma is like Natsume, Chiaki is like Hotaru, and the list goes on for similarities. Mikan and Hotaru are best friends and fight exactly like Kana and Chiaki. Aside from the characters the only other thing similar is that they are both comedies.

The atmosphere in FMwoS is very similar to Gakuen Alice, both have sweet and serious undertones and you will fall in love with the main characters, for sure!!!

Both of these animes are similar involving a school with students possessing supernatural power or magical abilities.

Again, the stories are different, and GA is a little more shojo-ish/innocent, but both are about a character who just might bring peace to a place of magic and war
report Recommended by as3
GA is more magic based, but both stories are really great. The atmosphere in both is similar, it's light, funny, romantic but sweet at the same time.
report Recommended by as3
Both anime are set at school - as their titles say - and are mostly about friendship, love and growth. Some of the characters are very similar: Hotaru is basically the loli version of Akira, same goes for Mikan and Tenma. Gakuen Alice is about children while School Rumble is a teenage rom-com, but they're both very enjoyable series with a lovable and lively cast.

super gals is a good drama/comedy like gakuen alice and especially gakuen alice fans would love it

The comedy in both animes are similar and both revolve around elementary aged children. The comedy is more slap-stick and obvious in Alice than it is in Ichigo, but I'm sure if you liked one then you will like the other.

they are both comedy and are cute and funny. also great characters for both and both have a little bit of romance.

both about a girl going to new school and both have comedy/romance and both got some good shouj-ai.
report Recommended by midori-
both romance/comedy and have interesting plots involving "magic"
report Recommended by midori-
Both deal with having special powers and abiities, not to mention secret organizations. The thing though is, Gauken Alice is aimed for a lower age level, while Darker than Black is aimed for a higher one, so be forewarned about that.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
These deal with the idea of special powers. Particularly those with children, and wheter or not the children should be treated like normal children, monsters or gifts to humanity.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
Both are about school for mage. Both of the main girls (Mikan and Louise) have rare magic ability and are somewhat dense when it comes to love.
report Recommended by eunice85
im surprised that no one recommanded this 2! Both focus on a rare special ability in individual. Both have school that 'nurtures' those ability. MC in one has the power of cross out other ablity, while the supporting character (impt) of the other has that ablity. I suggest you watch hamatora if you like the darker side of things. While Alice academy if you like light hearted and fluffy things. Watch hamatora first followed by Alice academy to lighten the mood!

Both animes have powers and similar characters like mori and mikan and natsume and ueki thay also have this same kind of feel to them if you liked one you'll surely like the other one:)

Similar atmospheres, although while STL opts for crass humor and shies away from a motivated plot or deep characters, GA holds to cleaner comedy and takes most opportunities forgood angst and believable storylines. Moreover, if you loved GA, don't watch STL, you'll be disappointed. *But* if you enjoyed STL at all, you *have* to watch GA! I personally love it. :)

They both have to do with magic and sorta have romance aspects between main characters.

They both have magic kind of stuff! They're both so cute!

Gauken Alice happens to have what would be called in the Marvel univerce, Mutant abilities. Gauken Alice is a modern take, while Wolverine is one of the original in conceptual design.
report Recommended by Yemi_Hikari
There is a concept that those who are born with special powers are cursed to the life of being used by those who seek that power to use to further their own goals and these two series feature this. With Gauken Alice, the students are trained to be of future use to society, while in Tiger & Bunny, the heros are used for mer intertainment. While they are treated for the most part as if they are human, in other ways they are treated like they are nothing.
