Both are slice of life comedy anime focused on absurd situations. "Random weird comedy stuff and deer" would be a great way to desribe them both, as Nokotan is all about deer and Nichijou for some reason has a lot of out of nowhere deer sketches.

> Both similar humour, set in a high-school setting. >The serious main character is hiding a secret (assassin/delinquent) >Both main characters are high school girls, one carefree and one serious. > Both ED / OP soundtracks are really catchy!

Brainrot from different angle. Shikanoko Noko is a mix of every main character from Azumanga and a deer. (Take this however you like.) Azumanga is more subtle with its comedic timing and humor, while this is not always the case with Shikanoko Nokonoko. And because Azumanga is an older title, its animation is bit outdated. But I believe this helps Azumanga with the storytelling, so honestly, it's not a bad thing. In the end, if you want to shut down your brain and laugh a bit, both are great choices for that.

Two gag comedy parodies with unhinged high school girls set mainly in school. The comedy in both are very excessive and meme-y so they're very similar in those regards.

Both anime have similar type of Gag Comedy and Humor involving an all-girl cast, And Both Anime are by the Same Director.

The mc is someone whos "normal" and is the only one who doesnt think that things in the show are normal. These shows also give u a crazy chaotic fun without any rules and both of them have some real life "troll" footage.

While Nokotan is way more absurd with its comedy, this series is similar: - Animal girls - Yuri - High school setting - Quick-paced, silly comedy Although Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san is a bit more tame with its comedy and relies more on its characters' personalities and animalistic traits (along with one-off plot lines as it is an adaptation of a 4-koma manga,) it still can be enjoyed by fans of Nokotan. And while not as chaotic as Nokotan, Inugami-san to Nekoyama-san is not deprived of its own chaotic moments. The episodes are only 3 minutes and it's definitely in the same realm as Nokotan, so it should  read more

Slices of life with nonsensical humor, both parties are girls only and very fast gags one behind another. If you like post-humor you would like both of these.

Hey, did you like the absurdist comedy of Asobi Asobase derived from a bunch of girls running a wacky school club with an unusual topic? Do you think the jokes were still too high-brow? Do you think you have way too many functioning braincells lying around? Do you think crayons look yummy? Well, look no further. The answer all along was deer.

Similar humor style, meme references, and characterization

It starts with meeting someone who can't be understood with a healthy brain and being forced to enter a club whose purpose is not clear: v

Both involve a "normie" protagonist contrasted with a supernatural idiot and have lots of strange meta, referential, absurdist humor

"My Deer Friend Nokotan" and "Squid Girl" are both absurd gag comedies involving a human/animal girl coming into society and causing havoc. Some other similarities include: -a very meme opening which is catchy but also gets annoying -similar characters, whose primary characterization revolves around a gag -pretty similar styles of humor, which usually revolves around the main character misunderstanding or being misunderstood by those around them The main difference is that "Squid Girl" takes place on the beach while "My Deer Friend Nokotan" is more of a school anime with school-related jokes. If you like one you'll probably like the other though.

4th wall-breaking, neuron-killing comedy for those with a far-from-refined idea of what "humor" should be. These two anime are basically what you'd get if you asked a chronic shitposter what their ideal vision of an anime is supposed to be.

-both crazy unrealistical parody anime with realistical animals' images -main girl is too goofy and violent -secondary main character takes care of them

Similar type of absurdist animal humor. The speciesism and straight s**ist character design should be a hint

Both anime became popular due to a portion of their opening themes becoming memes. Blend S has "S Stands For", and Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan has "Shikanoko Nokonoko Koshitantan". Both anime are comedies featuring cute anime girls and mild parody, with Blend S being a workplace comedy and Nokotan being a gag school comedy.

Both have hilarious absurd humor with unexpected twists during jokes

Aho-Girl features a vacuous, vivacious girl whose clingy and often off the wall antics are constantly annoying her co-protagonist. Nokotan is a very similar character, with very similar antics to Yoshiko from Aho-girl, and Koshi plays a similar annoyed "straight man" roll as Akutsu from Aho-Girl.

When you have a chaotic duo with absurd comedy and dirty jokes you might like the other anime.

Surreal CGDCT gag comedy with occasional yuri jokes. It helps that the author of the latter is also an experienced yuri mangaka.

Similar kinda story structure, where most of it are absurd comedy sketches, but then it actually serves unironically to flesh out the characters and form a path moving forward. Plus, it's all kickstarted by the arrival of a surreal character that needs to be taken care of by the delinquent protagonist of the story.

Both are gag humor anime featuring an overpowered main character that drives the series completely nuts. I'd really recommend the other if you want an anime where nothing makes sense at all.
