From a similar source, both are short works that may be odd but are nonetheless cute. Especially notable is that the narration style and organization are nearly identical.

Short comedy anime about a grumpy anthropomorphical piece of common food.

Short anime about food, meat cuts in Nikuiyo! Galbi-kun: Kemuri ga Me ni Shimiru and types of bread in Kogepan. Both have similar humor, a bit dark if you think about it.

Kogepan is about anthropomorphic breads while Yeastken. is about yeast dogs or living dog breads. What happens when they are sold? Well, they probably get eaten. Pretty morbid if you think about it. Both shows are cute and short, though.

Anthropomorphic breads! Kogepan would've been like the breads in Panrui Mina Kyoudai if it didn't turn out burnt.

Short stories about "live food" character

Pankunchi reminded me of Kogepan because of the talking breads. The concept and humor are pretty similar; both were made by San-X after all, Kogepan predates Pankunchi.

both feature main characters being a food that had an unfortunate destine (which made them won't reach their original goal of being a food)

Both are short and cute shows.

Both shows feature talking, pouting food as their main characters.

Because one anime about anthropomorphic bread isn't enough, Japan has kindly given us two. They're both cute, funny, and ever-so-slightly disturbing when it's considered they're for small children.
