From a similar source, both are short works that may be odd but are nonetheless cute. Especially notable is that the narration style and organization are nearly identical.
Both Afro-ken and Kogepan were designed by the same (strange) company. They both have the same slow way they present their jokes. They also have unique animation style, Afro-ken being (bad) CGI and Kogepan looking more like drawings. Afro-ken is way more out there, but does get dull halfway through, while Kogepan is average throughout.
