This shows are wry, conversational high school romantic comedies that sarcastically comment on and deconstruct the differences between high school rom-coms and (notional) real life. Also, in both anime, the protagonist is a snarky and prickly, but sympathetic and kind person inside, who sincerely helps girls cope with their psychological problems. By the way, the author of Losing Heroines calls Oregairu one of his favorite LNs, so the similarities are most likely not accidental.

Similar vibe with not such a cliche girl types, interesting situations and dialogues and decent animation, both anime are recommended to watch if you are tired of average1 main love line

These are both anti-harem series that are self-aware and bring a fresh, semi-satirical approach to the genre.

Compelling romance and drama among schoolchildren maintaining a lighthearted tone 90% of the time. Taciturn protagonists and diverse cast of well-written characters with their own problems.

Both are romance series with relationships that progress naturally and don't feel artificial. The dialogue is never forced and avoids repeated tropes. They are also both shows where the main character finds a bunch of girls suddenly, yet they avoid becoming a harem.

If you enjoyed Kaguya-sama's entertaining cast of characters with interactions that just work, you will probably like Makeine Heroine ga Oosugiru, or Makeine for short. Bonus points if you like comedies with serious moments that stick the landing. While the two shows do not share the same style of humor, with Makeine's humor being more based on wit as opposed to Love is War's sheer ridiculousness, both shows use their comedy to great effect. If you like over-the-top fun, give Makeine a try.

Both the Main character in both show have no either how to make friends or how friends are make even tho they basically doing activities for their club every time showing that there already kinda friends in the first place. As for the romance story is also kinda similar whereas they dont know how what they feel whenever then hangout with the girls

- Both are similar anime, where the MC is someone who becomes an observer and slowly builds confidence.

This anime is very similar in terms of rom com with a little bit of drama that can make you emotional. A friend/user of myanimelist also told me that the author has mentioned that it is very much inspired from kaguya sama

>both mc tangled in others romantic drama >mc from normal gang, and heroine from popular gang. (not gucci gang) >the romantic things is kinda unclear, but i think just because of slow pace. >others male character is another MC on their own story. except our mc xd >both good.

The guys of both animes have to be in the company of lonely girls, each of whom can easily become his couple, but not everything is so simple. In both animes, these companies also include the guys' younger sister!

Both shows are meta romantic comedies that explore and parody the "childhood friend" trope of high school harems and rom-coms. Also, both anime are adaptations of LN from studio A-1. The difference is that OreShura follows a more classic formula, while Losing Heroines is built squarely around the experiences of lost childhood friends.

The author of Makeine said in an interview that his favorite works are "The dangers in my heart" and "Kaguya-Sama" and that he was inspired by these works. Anna Yanami was inspired by Anna Yamada, anyone who watched these shows will see the similarities.

Both are rom-coms with a focus on character drama and have multiple characters who are in love with each other. The comedy style is very similar between the two, and both use classic light novel tropes in fun and original ways. Both feature witty dialogue and colorful, bright, stylized animation. I enjoyed both shows immensely!

Both shows are firmly aware of their own romcom tropes and the issues associated with the archetypes of their respective stories. Each then plays on this to both great comedic effect, and reasonable dramatic affect with appropriate gravity and catharsis. Makine has better animation though, while Liselotte leans harder into the meta-humor.

In one way or another, they're both about romances that just aren't or shouldn't be meant to be, along with the struggle of figuring out how one is supposed to deal with that. The casts in each also haphazardly join a literature club, and the act of writing, plus the clubs' other activities, all end up contributing towards the events of their respective stories.
