Recommendations

The setting is Europe in both series with elements of mystery and fantasy. The main characters are looking for something they lost or want and resolve mysteries while getting close to their goal.

Action/Mystery genre involving the supernatural, set in a Victorian-esque world.

Both are set in historical Europe and just feel similar. Both have morally complex characters, detectives, action and a mature vibe.

Similarities: the same mystery themed anime, where it involves crime and the very special people who investigates it. Dissimilates: One was more on the supernatural side of crime, while the other is more on the police procedural investigation.

Historical, Investigation and etc..

Both shows are slow, methodical mystery stories with supernatural elements and eccentric casts.

We have both stories set on Victorian Europe with the most uncharacteristic cast resolving mysteries. I find that both sidekicks share similar characteristics like being demons and being quirky who make fun of their masters in subtle ways.

just in case if someone was interested in a undead character although both are different genre... both mc are immortal characters looking for good dead.

Both have smart and eccentric MCs who solve mysteries. Both are set in historical periods, Undead Girl is in Europe and The Apothecary Diaries in Imperial China.

This anime is of a very similar tone and feel to Undead Girl Murder Farce. Both anime follows a girl with impeccable deduction abilities to solve any murder mystery cases involving ghosts, Yokai, monsters (western Youkai as they were called in Gegege no kitarou) they both have an immortal male partner who work as their assistant and muscle when required..

Undead Girl Murder Farce and Baccano are pretty similar to each other, they both are Mystery Shows with supernatural aspects and stuff to do with Immortals. Both take place outside of Japan, both have some pretty good comedy and excellent fight scenes

The characters in Bungou Stray Dogs are anime characters inspired by classic literature authors. In Undead Murder Farce, literary characters are referenced as being in the world like Frankenstein, Sherlock Holmes and Count Dracula. They both live in supernatural worlds with a Victorian-inspired aesthetic. Both shows have a detective elements and are action-packed with mature storytelling about adults. Both shows are very character-driven. The characters are well-written and deep and the heart of the shows. There’s mastermind characters in both.

They have a similar flamboyant vibe with lots of stylized action, mysteries, magical objects and people being fancy in high class suits kicking the crap out of eachother. Both have cocky ENTPs.

Although the setting is different, the main characters are strong and intelligent women. Both resolve mysteries and have a dark sense of humor.
report Recommended by hinfatuation
Both titles are about investigation of mystical crimes. Both have an older experienced woman with hime-cut as a main hero. And the apprentice is also present.
