These are two similar series that are SO similar - it's almost scary. Both main protagonists, Keroro and Ika, are "invaders" from very different worlds who come here to Earth in order to invade us and claim everything in humanity for their society back home. And, both end up becoming slaves to a pair of siblings to do hard work and labor for one reason or another as soon as they arrive unto Earth. Ika - a pair of sisters. Keroro - a sister and brother. The art style and emotion art between the two is even similar. The comedy is the same between  read more

Both are random, funny with great characters. Both have aliens and both were being made by Sunrise~

A lot of references of Keroro in Lucky Star. They also use the real voices of the characters, and they appear as dolls and figurines in the serie. The show is also humoristic, and sometimes it's as random as Keroro.

• Both are comedy's • Both have ninjas • Both have similar gag's and scenarios.

The two animes are both of the type "Welcome to Earth, Bastard!" were the main characters face having to learn and cope with living on Earth, or Japan, more precisely. Both try to create situations which we would deem normal or easy to solve, but get to have over exaggerated reactions or complete misunderstandings, offering lots of funny moments with the characters. Also, some out-of-ordinary situations show up to defy the main characters from having their stay peacefully and "minding their own business" on Earth, as well as having a recurrent number of new characters added to the main cast.

This anime came to mind for some reason when I watched Bobobo. I think the first main similarities being the narrator in both anime are very fourth wall breaking and become like one of the main characters of the anime. They add their own comic relief and jokes in there, especially the English dubs. Speaking of English dubs, the dubbing in these two anime can arguably be better and funnier than the original Japanese ones for a non-Japanese audience as the dialogue tends to go off script from the orifinal a bit and even poking fun at the original Japanese visual jokes. Both series is really wacky  read more

How can we live together peacefully with aliens while we don't really know their true intentions? How to tell an alien from an earthling? How to influence each other? Let us watch both of these anime and see for ourselves.

(Un)identified creatures from outer space live peacefully with Japanese families and everyone helps each other in daily life. Similar rakish vibe as for child-friendly shows.

Kerero Gunsoi and Wasurenagumo are about ordinary people taking care of hostile non-humans, who are actually cute and annoying pests, but try to make themselves threats regardless. They are both comedies as well.

Keroro is another long running television series which offers, more of less, what Doraemon does. Character devises a plan/Gets a new gadget to play with -> Character messes up -> Karma -> Rinse and repeat. Keroro does change its formula every once in a while and offers a much more serious narrative. The stakes are higher (in some cases) in Keroro, while Doraemon plays its cards much safer.

In both series, Aliens come to invade earth, but get stopped by members of an earthling family. The aliens put then any earth conquering plans on hold, but instead lead their daily lives together with the humans. At least one alien develops a romantic interest in a human, which is a minor (Natsuki/Giroro) or major (Lum/Ataru) topic of the series. If you are interested in interplanetary slice of live, you may try these titles out.

Both have hilarious dubs (which I would watch before subs, a rare case) and a packed to the brim with 4th wall breaking humour and zany antics.

Both are comedy themed shows with ridiculous characters that constantly make pop culture references.

Both involve characters from other worlds coming into ours with distinguished human and alien casts. They also both have major early 2000s energy

Both shows are slice of life comedies (both animated by Sunrise too) that involve a being trying to ruin the life of a normal human (or humans in the case of Keroro) living under the same roof and getting up to crazy hijinks filled with humor ranging from slapstick to referential humor and of course the ever so classic 4th wall break!

Although the premises of Azumanga Daioh and Sergeant Keroro are rather different, the same sort of random humour can be found in both series. With varied and likable casts, the degree of realism might be the the factor that divides them the most (with the characters and situations of Azumanga Daioh being more plausible than the Earth being invaded by space frogs), but they nevertheless have a similar light-hearted feel.

Two tales of attempted world domination, gone horribly wrong, with amusing consequences. Sgt. Frog is geared more towards kids but is watchable by adults. Excel Saga is aimed at adults, but might be appropriate for older kids, tweens and above. Except ep 26, which even surprised me with the heaps of fanservice and gore.

Each of these series are light comedies in a very episodic nature. If you like random comedy with a dash of moe and want to watch something that isn't serious at all, then these shows go together quite well.

Although made in slightly different timeframes, They maintain a nostalgic aesthetic that can barely be found anywhere else.

Both Are Hilariously Funny, Casual Viewing, With Lots of Hijinks and Lovable Characters You Won't Want to Stop Watching.

These shows aired around the same time and both give off a similar vibe. Both contain an outsider (Reborn and Sgt Keroro) coming into a Japanese family home, bonding with a young boy, and becoming a bona-fide part of the family. I find that the humor in the earlier seasons of Reborn! are also very similar to that of Sgt Frog.

Both are similar because both Keroro and Gabriel are from another place (Keroro in his own home planet and Gabriel in her own home world, heaven), they are both lazy and can sometimes get scolded by others (Natsumi and Vignette). They also do sometimes bully their own friends (Keroro against Dororo and Gabriel against Satania). Lastly, they love doing their own things (Keroro with his Gunpla and manga; and Gabriel with her Computers and manga). I will also not to forget the comedy that these two has because they are also on-par. If you watch Gabriel Dropout, you might even see the similarities if you  read more

Funny, long running kids anime that can still be enjoyed by older folk. They're both silly with similar animation styles and weird animal sidekicks.

Similarly to how the main protagonists of Keroro Gunsou have their own mascots - Fuyuki and Keroro, Natsumi and Giroro, Mutsumi and Kururu - most of the characters in Medabots have their own cute or wisecracking ally by their side. The stories start off mainly episodically but they do have arcs within the series. Both shows have a tendency to do ridiculous and comedic facial expressions.

They're both series where the main focus are cute characters, in the case with Keroro Gunsou it's alien frogs and Yokai Watch it's Yokai. The stories and humor are pretty similar to one another as well and they're targeted to children in Japan. Even some of the characters are pretty similar (Keita is similar to Fuyuki and Jibanyan is similar to Tamama).

Both have nutty characters and hillarious antics. Great for spontaneous humor!
report Recommended by Mokenda
Crazy characters in inexplicable situations, and both have satisfactory endings on their seasons. Similar in animation/illustration style and in the use of cultural references of Japan and anime. They often break the fourth wall during the most random moments. Another awesomely written and dubbed show from FUNimation.

They bothave a certain supernatural feel to them, as well as being random at times. Also, they have aliens. There are many similarities between the two..let's just say that. I am sure if you like FLCL, you'll like Keroro.

Sgt. Frog's artist, Mine Yoshizaki, created the character designs for Seven of Seven. there is various crossovers exist between Sgt. Frog and Nana 7 of 7. Also, in episode 89 of Sgt. Frog, it features a plot that splits Corporal Giroro into seven personalities, most of whom resemble Nana's split personalities

They are both comedic and fun filled. Lots of stuff to make you crack up, on the other hand very random at the same time. Plus Bonta-kun and the frogs are very similiar!
report Recommended by FRESHShaZaM
Both are hilarious, silly comedies that involve non-human beings (respectively alien frogs & human-like cans). Also, Najimi is strongly similar to Momoka: both with short blue hair, they have some kind of split personality and are in love with the male protagonist.

Both give random fun. It may not be as funny as Keroro but just as random.

I think viewers of Keroro Gunso would also enjoy Majin Tantei Nougami (if you're into mystery story-lines) because of the sarcasm and funny relationship between Neuro and Yako. As far as similarities go that is about it :)

Amazingly enough there are acutely a lot of similarities between the two. Keroro Gunso has a lot of refrence comedy to it, "supernatural" things that are not earthly, parodys, they are both hilarious to watch, and more. And as well whenever I watch Dokuro-chan, it reminds me of Natsumi Hinata from Keroro. I guess they are both tsunderes. Anyways, I am sure that if you liked this Anime you will like Keroro Gunso! ;D

Both shows take the original Japanese script and give it a complete revamp. However, Ghost Stores takes it to the extreme--probably more than Keroro!

Hare nochi Guu is funny and extremely random like Keroro Gunso is. If you like randomness in your animes, then check this series out too!

Both have a amazing amount of Parody to their comedy. Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt might be a bit more mature in their style, but both the Japanese and English translations do a very great job in keeping the comedy going to where you can understand it. They are also based on the two mini episodes per normal Episode making it easy to just watch part of the show and come back later for the next part.

The main casts are always on some insanely hilarious journey where they'll probably forget what they set out to do by the end of the episode. Both have primarily stand alone episodes chock full of random comedy, so you don't have to remember what the heck was going on last time if you haven't watched in a while. Every major character has a running gag. There are pop culture references galore! Both introduce silly but memorable one-episode characters that interact with the main stars. Each features a cosmic cast that will likely never accomplish what they set out to do, whether it be taking over  read more

Both have similar characters(Natsumi and Koyuki=Kaede and Shinobu). Also they are both hilarious comedies and contain many parodies. Though "2x2=Shinobuden" is a little(or a lot) more PG-13.

Keroro Gunsou is focused on alien invasion more or less and Somera-chan can be all over the place in terms of plot for each episode. Both shows are comedy based and share similar gags/humor. Some of the characters are similar personality-wise. Both shows are also a little sci-fi themed with aliens/magic.

the two are about strange creatures who want to conquer the plant , but all the times they try , they fail. and teh two are comic series.

For Gundam fans: If you've ever wanted a comedy anime that shamelessly panders to fans of Gundam, especially U.C. Gundam series, Keroro is the series for you. From Keroro cosplaying as Char to Keroro piloting a 1:1 scale RX-78-2 Gunpla in the third movie, there are plenty of amusing references to the franchise throughout the series. For Keroro fans: If you've ever wondered why it is that Keroro is so obsessed with Gundam, viewing either the original Mobile Suit Gundam series or movie trilogy is a great way to find out. After all, what kind of Keroro fan doesn't know the difference between a Zaku and  read more
