Like Wonder Egg, Artiswitch portrays human problems using surreal imagery in a dream-like world. While Wonder Egg covers teen suicide, Artiswitch covers other problems like fear of being different. 

Two anime shorts that examine the human condition. Death Billiards explores the lives of characters as they enter the afterlife so they can be judged for their actions. Artiswitch explores the hidden desires of characters so they can find self-acceptance. Death Billiards is a darker anime than Artiswitch, but Artiswitch also has a dark aspect to it. Both series introduces an engaging concept that could easily be adapted into a full length show.  

Fashion anime about being your true yourself. Similar visuals. 

Let's look a little deeper into who you are and what makes you tick and all the colorful secrets will come spilling out! Artiswitch and Kuchuu Buranko use vibrant, flashy and surreal imagery to discuss real world issues like mental health. Nina the witch and Dr. Irabu are both strange colorful main characters who mysteriously help people with their problems in often bizarre ways. 

Artiswitch is like Death Parade (which also has a movie named 'Death Billiards' that came before it) and Paradise Kiss had a baby. It has the 'finding yourself' narrative & fashion aspects of Paradise Kiss, but the 'mysterious unknown location' & helping/analyzing people parts of Death Parade. I highly recommend all 3 if you're a fan of Artiswitch. 

Both are surreal cgi shows depicting fantasy bleeding into reality, the struggle to find one's self amidst peers, expectations and delusions, as well as the fantastical way in which we both carve our own path and come to rely on others to surpass our past selves. Replace technology with magic, and one series could even work as a sequel to the other. It may even work in both ways. 

Two anime shorts dealing with existential crises. In Artiswitch, each episode introduces a new character that seeks out a witch to grant them a wish because they are unsatisfied with their lives. By discovering their hidden desires through their interaction with the witch, they often realize that self acceptance is the key to their happiness. In Summer Ghost, three teenagers become friends when they meet up to find the summer ghost. Through their friendships and the summer ghost, each character are able to face their existential crisis. Both anime approach this theme in a balance manner despite their short lengths.  

They both tackle similar types of subjects such as depression. theyre also both becoming more dark over the episodes. 

Both are magic-users learning to deal with their magic. While Artiswitch is a bit darkers, Someday's Dreamers is a bit more light hearted 

both deal with customers and wishes... and how they can go wrong. 

General: Both series have almost the same set up, very similar poetic, existential theme and both put a great focus into visual experience (though Artiswitch is 3d). Details: In both series there is a someone, who helps people. Every episode there is a person with some kind of life problems. Sometimes it's very realistic, sometimes it gets a little abstract (more in Artiswitch), but definitely both series are a little existential and aspire to "make you think". Also both series rely very heavily on visuals - they tell part of the story through it using symbolism and metaphors, so I would even say they are poetic. Though it has to be said that the art style is very different - Artiswitch has 3d graphics, sharp edges and very vibrant colors (reminds me of Penguindrum or Gatchaman Crowds), while Night World is 2d and has traditional painting style to it. read more
