both share the same kind of comedy where kyou no go no ni takes place more in the school setting with middle school kids

the randomness is somewhat similar and so is the humour

If you want a good laugh and Kyou no Go no Ni made you laugh, then you should start Azumanga Daioh. Even the structure on an episod is similar, short - funny "episodes" pasted togheter to form a 20/25 minutes episode...

Why would you people even bother to recommend a SOL anime from Kyoani with another SOL anime from KyoAni? That'll be too easy.. [EASY MODE] Kids will be kids.. Both anime are based on the daily lives of school students portrayed in a comedic oriented manor. These sort of anime will make those of you who spent your entire adolescence years cooped up in their room playing videogames or online game, suffer in regret. "Why didn't I go out and make friends!" So are you still wondering why you don't have that "so called" childhood friend?

Adolescent high jinks with a similar "girls run the show, boys watch out" feel. Water guns and pudding. Obviously, Mujaki no Rakuen is more sexual.

Funny kids being silly and playing around. Kyou no 5 no 2 takes place in a school, and Mitsuboshi Colors take place in various places. Kyou no 5 no 2 has some really mild ecchi, while Mitsuboshi Colors has absolutely none.

both have main characters around the same age, have sort of short mini episodes, and have comedic elements.

Kids doing daily regular stuff, but still manages to be funny. Both animes have that same slice of life feel.

The shows are similar as that they both predominantly feature elementary school children in a slice of life environment. They are also both comedies where the humour tends to be on the wacky side and of an adult or sexual nature.
