both are similar sports anime, I feel that it has a similarity of characters with air-head comedy with competitive vibes. strategic and power battles between teams which is the most exciting. I like the fluid animation too. both schools have the least reputation for their sports team and they will eventually overcome. bring glory to the school team. I am playing both volleyball and kabbadi since 6th grade.they are my favourite sports.this animes are giving me thrills.

- Both of the MC's are rookies to the sport & try their hardest to get good!

This is very similar if not better than burning kabaddi. It is very funny and has a lot of high paced action. The show is very funny and has a great plot. It has a rating of 8.02 and it is definitely worth the watch. Try the first episode for yourself and you will see that it is really good. I rate this a 9/10 it was really good and the character design is really good. P.S (Watch Vinland saga its the best anime ever)

This anime is really simullar to Kuroko no basket, especially the characters.

It's similar in the sense that the MC is introduced to a sport, and then through them we dive into that world, accompanied by a gallery of interesting supporting characters.

Whilst both these animes focus on different spots, they focus heavily on one character ‘retiring’ from spots and returning to a new team/different sports team and helping bring the team to new levels; both are enjoyable on the format of "the underdog strikes back" in a different way to the usual "im too small/etc to play this sport but im the prodigy of my generation". Whilst it may be a struggle if you’re into the specific sport that each anime features, I’d recommend giving the opposite a try; the plots and characters are fun and enjoyable!

Comedy, Sports. Senpais are similar like Oujou, Masato and Kamiya, Shun

Both anime are based on cultural contact sports with Shakunetsu based on Kabaddi and Hinomaruzumou on Sumo Wrestling. You could attempt to draw parallels in the main characters: For example Yoigoshi = Gojou or Date = Kunisaki but ultimately both anime explore the development of a team for a relatively unknown sport. You can enjoy learning a new sport and watching intense power struggles in either anime.

Both anime is about a particular sport. full of passion and comedy. however, in this anime, the entire team motivates one guy to play for them, unlike Ahiro no sora, where one guy motivated the entire team. The soundtrack is amazing.

Both are sports anime about an underdog team in a lesser-known sport with an MC that had previously been an ace on an old team. Both show high-speed skill development in MC based on previous prodigy status that feels legitimate rather than forced in an underdog team. Both shows have a theme of growing yourself to grow the team, but just one player can't win for you. Both teams have previous national winners on them but retain underdog status by being from a small school with newbie players mixed in so the upward climb feels both realistic and doable. Shakunetsu Kabbadi does a better job  read more
