Wu Shan Wu Xing (2020)

Honestly, the only two similarities between these two anime are the fact that they have vivid, ravishing, elegant animation to their stories at play, and I'd like to think that said animation greatly enhances everything in these two anime, from more impactful storytelling and conveying of feels. Otherwise, there isn't a lot more to go on about. The two stories are there for those looking for action with passion built into the very veins of these shows. One side is the Japanese way, with the other the Chinese way. Good historical works and representations too. 

Relatively unknown Chinese animations with similarly styled stunning painterly background art, blending together traditional Chinese aesthetics and fantasy. Wu Shan Wu Xing is action-heavy and intense with spectacular fight choreography, while Bai Niao Gu is mostly pensive and low-key while building intrigue - but the one short fight scene in Bai Niao Gu shows off its smooth stylized animation. 

Action, and a ton of it. If there is something to comment about with the plot on these two, I'd say that it isn't a lot to go on about aside from a few historical elements which come up every now and then. However, I am here to tell you that what should really catch your attention with these two titles is the attention to detail in every bit of action sequence, fight, close-up, and transformation that you could imagine. Both GOHS and Fog Hill Five are immensely good animations when considering all that can be visible. Despite their somewhat mediocre stories (maybe even worse in GOHS's case), both are still great visual fun mostly centred around the action. One has Korean origins, the other is fully Chinese. If you wish to have a more diverse anime experience, I'd take these two.  read more 

These Chinese anime's are hidden gems that both have unique animation styles and are not as time consuming as most shows, one being 3 episodes long and the other having very short 13 minute episodes, so they are worth a shot.  

If you like high octane action series with godlike animation then you're probably gonna enjoy this 

Both protagonists set out to travel dangerous lands filled with supernatural creatures that are similar to demons. Both anime involve a protagonist that can control fire and are connected to an undetermined mystical force. Both anime are set in a historical era of the country that it is set in. Both protagonists are affiliated with a female protagonist during which they are attempting to manipulate each other. 

Hype. What more could you ask for than a beast of a man destroying all in his way? Echo MV may not be animated like Fog Hill 5, but they both manage to sell a product that knows nothing of calming down. Whether it be 3 short episodes or a semi-animated MV based on a webtoon. People still come back asking for more from these legends.  

These two Chinese works are recommended for the lavishing animation that resides within the two stories. I suppose False Memory may have a more captivating story than Fog Hill Five, but both still execute to standards not consistently seen when considering everything anime. The high-end productions from. Both are Chinese too, therefore donghua.
