What do these two anime have in common? They're both centered around cars and driving. Fast driving and real car models in both, other than that, there really aren't much similarities, if any. Ex-Driver is more lighthearted and shounen style, while Initial D has drama and is somewhat more realistic. But if you have seen one and liked the car theme, then you might want the check the other as well, since there must be less than a handful of animes about cars.

If you like "Hakozume: Koban Joshi no Gyakushuu", then you should take a sneak peek at the series "Ex-Driver". In both anime, the main characters are a cool duo (or trio). In "Hakozume" they are policewomen and in "Ex-Driver" two high school girls. The plot is also similar: the policewomen chase/punish traffic offenders and in "Ex-Driver" the high school girls chase cars with defects. In both anime there are chases, word fights and comedy. “Yu Yu Hakusho” and “eX-Driver” involve a talented novice on the side of justice facing off against a skilled veteran who has betrayed the people he once worked for and has gathered a group of misfits in order to carry out his malevolent biddings. Former comrades must go up against each other as their interests clash in these two anime. The protagonist of both is a young boy who has taken over the former duties of his predecessor after a lengthy period of time. The antagonists from the two anime pose dangerous threats, being far more experienced and knowing tricks as to defeating their past teammates.  read more

Both are above average series focused on car and gun loving girls pursuing justice with enjoyable action scenes as a result.

The focus is on hot cars rather than hot women. Still, if you love cars, check this one out.
