Red-blooded sports anime with a similar dynamic between the two leads: rivals who end up on the same team.
report Recommended by Neko-Hoshishima
Both sports anime, with very powerful characters, who are being invited by a member of the club but refusing at the start. We also have similarities betweet the psychologicals problems with the parents and their children in both. It's not just sport, it's also the thought of protagonists, dealing with themselves, questionning who they are...

Similar in Hanebado!, both MCs decide not to play their respective sport after a traumatic event. However, they come back to playing their sport after their friends and other supporting members help them recover/motivate them back to their original dreams. Both MCs are also good at their sports prior. -Sports -Traumatic event in the past -Friendship

Both have the same story plot where it involves one girl who quits the sport back in middle school only to be drafted back into through a childhood friend in High School...

-Pretty intense and dramatic (moreso with Hanebad!) for a sports anime -Both anime feature sports with a net and a racket (Hanebad! focuses on badminton while Ping Pong obviously focuses on table tennis) -Both protagonists have similar traits and personalities (Peco = Ayano, Smile = Aragaki)

They are both character driven, and mainly girls in the cast. They both center around friends helping eachother reaching a goal and overcoming obstacles together.

Are you a fan of badminton?! Have you been waiting for your favourite sports to have more anime series? Here is your next badminton series. Ryman's Club and Hanebado are focused on the game, but also on the mental health of the main characters. Hanebado has a colourful cast of characters that drive the story. Ryman's Club has a very realistic story so the characters are believable and relatable. Both are enjoyable series.

Both shows are about girl teams trying to support eachother and winning a competition together. (One is about an orchestra and the other a badminton team)

Ok Listen, Totally Different sport.. Totally different settings .. Hanebado is probably more dramatic (I don't even know why?) But.. While the girls in Keijo are constantly wet because they play around pools a lot, the Girls in Hanebado are constantly wet because they sweat a lot.. I mean like "Quench the thirst of a third world country" Sweat a lot. Both anime are for the cultured.

Both have plots that involve players who have lost their passion for the sport, but throughout the story reignite their fires. Both main characters also came to love the sport because of their relationships with their mothers when they were younger, although their current relationships with them are very different between the two shows.

- charackters are very similiar - rin/ haruka and ayano/nagisa have identity issues or have personal reasons to abondon their biggest passion - the relationship between the charackters and the sports itself are similiar balanced then to other sports anime - both have a focus on friendship which they handle very authentic and enjoyable - watching hanebado give me the same feeling like watching free!

The same sports genre anime, with a slice of life in it, where the female MC were bad asses with attitude , who can delivery very well.

Love All Play and Hanebado! are both badminton related anime. While Love All Play focuses on men's badminton, Hanebado! focuses on women's badminton. Both anime take place during high school. If you enjoy badminton, you should definitely give this one a watch, especially since there aren't many badminton anime out there! (I believe the only other badminton anime at the moment is Ryman's Club).

Badminton and table tennis are two sports that are very similar to tennis. One sport you use a racket to hit a shuttlecock instead of a ball, while the other sport is a bit smaller scale than tennis; but the idea of both sports is the same. The main characters are two cute girls who just went to their new schools and are very talented at their respective sports and beat all their seniors at the school club. Both girls join the club and participate at various tournaments with other schools. If you like cute girls so should watch both anime because there are plenty  read more

Both Sport. Both Sports are very similar Both have protagonist reaching to be top of the world players. The stories do not take a similar path, so when watching another it does not feel like a repeat with a different theme, they radiate a different feeling.

the truth I do not have an argument to explain the reason for the recommendation but seeing hanebado has a touch that reminded me of shigatsu it may be that both protagonists did not have a good relationship with their mothers
