Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome

It has been done by the same team with the same director, this movie's setting is the same as Yojouhan's setting and it is as incredible. 

First of all, there are a lot of Tatami Galaxy references in the movie, so I'd recommend you to watch Tatami Galaxy first. Themes of both anime are somewhat similar, too. As is the romance between the main characters. If you have seen Tatami Galaxy before, you will love this. If you haven't, you'll still enjoy it, though. (Also, same character designer, same director and even the author of the novels is the same.) 

They are based on two books by the same author, have the same director, same art style, and some shared characters. The atmosphere and a general "feel" of those two works are very similar, so one is probably the closest you could find to the other. 

Same author and director, and kinda the same universe and characters. You will have a better understanding of one by watching the other. Same kind of humor and very creative and funny situations. 

Same novel, director, good dialogue but without the repetitiveness of the original, very good movie. 

Kinda goes without saying since Night Is Short, Walk On Girl is basically a spiritual successor to Tatami Galaxy, but anyways. Same author- Tomihiko Morimi and the same director- Masaaki Yuasa. Both heavily stylised, charming, outstandingly directed, impacting and subtextually rich. Tatami Galaxy explores themes of choices, chances and control of life while Yoru Wa Mijikashi takes on fate, perception of time and encounters, but both kinda have similar ways of portraying their messages. Both resonative and even life changing. Both share similar style in both art and presentation, and they even share some of characters. Both manage to be playful and entertaining while still reaching few levels of depth. Both creative and innovative. Both have powerful endings. Both are works from the same author and both are dialogue heavy anime filled with cultural references, that carry a vibrant atmosphere with a similar narration style. If you like one than without a doubt you’ll like the other. 

This recommendation is quite obvious. The Night is Short, Walk on Girl feels like a sequel to The Tatami Galaxy. We have the same director, art style, universe, some shared characters, similar humor, and even some terms used in both shows are the same. E.g. 'Raven Haired Maiden' and a bunch others. I don't really have to say much. Similar romantic eccentric journey with a lot of comedy and non-sense and crazy characters linked by fate where no encounter is a coincidence. The Night is Short, Walk on Girl kinda feels like a short and really fast-paced Tatami Galaxy but it's not a copy at all, it has its own style, story appeal, and fresh characters. The main difference and this is something I really enjoyed in The Night is Short, Walk on Girl is that it really focus on both lovers whereas in Tatami Galaxy it focuses mainly on the guy. I really loved watching both perspectives as every event happened. read more 

Both are directed by the same person (Masaaki Yuasa) and based of books from the same writer (Morimi Tomihiko). They have a very similar artstyle and are very dialogue-heavy. The way the stories are told is also very similar (narration; multiple short stories that make up a bigger one). Walk on, Girl also features some characters from Tatami and references it multiple times. You should probably watch Tatami Galaxy first. 

I'm surprised how many Yojouhan's fans don't even know this spinoff movie exists. It has similar art, happens in Yojouhan universe and has very similar vibe. Some characters from Yojouhan make cameo, too. Just go and watch it right now 

Movie made by the same director and based off of novels written by the same author. The art style is the same with a similar form of comedy as well as multiple nods and references to each other.  

Brought to you by Masaaki Yuasa (one of the most creative directors today), both (series and film) not only share the same type of narrative (the one that invites us to get to know ourselves); They even have characters in common, which gives us the feeling of being in the same universe. All while we enjoy their love stories as a pretext to start a fantastic, irreverent and fun adventure beautifully animated with Yuasa's own style. 

Same characters, but you don’t need to have watched this to watch it. In my opinion, it is better than tatami galaxy, because it is more funny, random and romantic, but tatami galaxy has a more satisfying ending. 

Spiritual sequel to Tatami Galaxy. Both by same studio and director. Both share similar themes. Both have same art style.  

The animation is absolutely stunning and whimsical. Although the plots (and I would even say genres) differ, they both are captivating. 

Both start relatively normal but gradually they start getting more experimental and complex to the point they're barely are able to be understood. 

Two highly surreal anime with absurd comedy and a strangely high amount of apples, symbolism and fate. The girl from Yoru wa Mijikashi Arukeyo Otome shares a similar philosophy with Ringo from Penguindrum, as both have an optimistic view about destiny and believe everything happens for a reason. 

Two romance movies with a lot of surreal transitions, blurring between reality and fiction, an object that one of the protagonist lost and people chasing their true love.
