Godzilla 1: Kaijuu Wakusei

Both have futuristic aspects like vehicles and its from the same studio if you liked either one you may like the other i prefer knights of sidonia for the characters and story flow  

Extremely similar style of animation. The situation isn't massively different. Mecha isn't used in the same way but is included. The show looks very much similar with an old ship that left the system seeking a new home with a run down look. Romance in this however is very low on the scale of what is done but that is because it is more about fighting for a home.  

Actaully the same thing. They are both done by the same studio Polygon so they look absolutely identical in art and animation and character designs its so identical that you think both movies are connected and one is a sequel of the other, while they have a much different story. And i cant believe that the main heroine is identical in both movies. If you liked one, you'd definitely like the other, or if you hated one, im sure you'd hate the other as well. Oh and both have netflix hand in them :v 

Both these Netflix productions in the sci fi genre may not look similar on the surface, but they have enough similarities for you to pick the other, if you enjoyed one of them: # We witness a dystpian-ish future where humanity's numbers have dwindled considerably. # From once being the hunters, they are now the preys # Every day is a battle for survival, as small pocket colonies of humans constantly battle reduced water and food rations. # Morally questionable decisions are taken in order to keep the human population surviving. # In both series, the threat to humanity takes the form of an in-human entity which is stronger/smarter than all of humanity combined, making it near impossible to defeat it # An outsider/rule breaker becomes the obvious leader of a group of individuals who bravely go out into the real world in order to destroy their God like enemy. # Fantastic CGI (until and unless you're the type to whine about CGI if it doesn't involve cute girls which shimmery hair styles) # Both series are to be viewed for their entertainment value. Because content wise, there are important details that have been skipped, which ofc, shouldn't have happened. # Both are almot Slice of Life action movies - the focus is more on the journey than the resolution/end of the journey # Despite being 50% of the population, women are magically outnumbered/out-represented by men in a roughly 1:10 ratio in both these dystopian worlds. read more 

These two anime focus on humans colonizing space after the Earth was wipe out by giant monsters. They both have humans trying to take back the Earth from other powerful monsters and have Mecha to use for combat against other giant monsters.  

These two anime has a similar story settings, and here's the similarity I got from the two: -Humans are in the brink of extinction and the big creatures are the reasons of it -The male lead is taking his revenge on the big creatures that killed their loved ones
