Bakemonogatari and Kubikiri Cycle both originate from novels of author "Nisio Isin" and therefore share a similar structure and narrative. In both anime you will find the protagonist surrounded by the opposite gender and find each episode to majorly focus on dialogue and character interaction. Therefore both anime are character driven. Additionally, both anime are produced by Shaft and therefore they have a similar artistic design. Lastly to add I found both anime to produce a similar feeling on isolation, as the worlds of both anime seem to be isolated from their worlds society. So by watching both anime you may notice a lack of  read more

>Murder mystery >A huge closed space >Bizarre case and bizarre explanation >Quite a similar vibe but I'd say Kubikiri cycle is more creative with its BG design

Group of talented people with one normal person as the main character solve mysteries around murders in an enclosed setting.

In both shows crime and mystery is a tool to tell us more about characters and main pair written beautifully. As mystery goes Zaregoto couple steps higher but Shoushimin makes up there with pretty animations and dialogues.

Both have unconventional protagonist detective characters that are as entertaining to watch as the mysteries themselves.

With setting that is a separate island, mysterious murder happens and police isn't an option, so it's up to the cast to figure out the culprit with the confusing clues they got. Both anime have some nice locked room mysteries.

Detective mysteries with supernatural elements and driven by diverse sets of characters. Heavy dialogue but fluidly directed

Other than the 50 Shades of Grayscale colour palette, both shows are slow building and have non-OP MCs that want little to do with anyone or anything and yet somehow, someway gets involved with everyone and everything. Despite their best efforts however, they have little say in the eventual outcome. Just like in real life, amirite? No? Only me? Ok.

Both anime are works of Nisioisin and Shaft. Similar style and aesthetics, themes of detectives, diverse cast of entertaining characters.

they're both from Nisio Isin, so there are a lot of similarities in the writing and comedy

Great mystery shows that go all out on their visual presentation, using good directing to keep any scene interesting. If you especially liked the first half of babylon, you'll most likely also enjoy Kubikiri Cycle.

Intelligent but emotionally impaired protagonist solves mysteries and navigates through lies of other characters.

In both series, we have many characters that are all related to each other. Moreover the characters are mysterious and seem to hide a secret. (Boku and Kunagisa in Kubikiri Cycle and Mikado, Masaomi and Anri in Durarara !!) These are action series with the supernatural but very focused on the dialogue and narration.

Both share similar styles of animation and edgy artstyles. As well as reclusive broody mcs.

A group of people has to figure out the identity of a traitor that is among them, in a closed space scenario. Very unique characters, where basically anyone is a suspect. Both are mystery anime, but Rokka no Yuusha also has fantasy elements and a lot of world-building.
