Light novel adaptations about a pessimistic main character being brought to introspection and gradual change through solving mysteries.
Both are heavy on words and rely on their script, but offer extremely high-quality visuals as a backing (Hyouka often visually portraying relevant information in creative and different ways, while Zaregoto relies on colourful and stylistic displays of surreal environments).
