Both the female leads are fujoshi, light comedy and had a really great time watching it... one of my fav romcoms ever <3

An otaku girl surrounded by boys (and girl) who end up falling for her. While they sometimes compete for her affection, both shows take the time to develop each character and their relationship with the main girl while avoiding unnecessary conflict. The animation style is also very similar.

Honestly, if you're a girl who identifies as a fujoshi then finding a guy who identifies as a fudanshi is like rare! So to find a short form that literally makes that fantasy a reality is great! Fudanshi Koukou Seikatsu was such a hidden gem and I loved it. 10/10 Recommend for all fujoshi or fudanshi out there.

These shows aren't too similar but they still have some similarities. They have magakas as characters, their humor is similar and they have romance elements. Main difference is the fact that Nozak-kun is not really reverse-harem while WatashiMote is.

Both feature a main character who was fat but after losing weight became very popular. You could say both shows are Harems as well, and the MC lives with a sibling of the opposite sex and their mother.

Romantic Killer kinda reminded me of Kiss Him, Not Me! -Both School Comedy Reverse Harems where the protagonist is not at all interested in a relationship, leading to comical situations. While similar, I enjoyed Romantic Killer more and found it way more hilarious.

They have the same idea, but instead of a 'disgusting' face, my recommendation is on the heavier side than the other girls. Both have boys around them after their 'beautification'.

Its about two similar girls which go to high school. They are both huge Anime-fans that are overacting and getting kind of ugly when they see something that has to do with Anime and that spend their free time with watching Anime and reading Manga. Also it's both about being/becoming popular and how other students see them.

Both have the same reverse harem, where it involves one girl with a bunch of guys, vying for the girl's affection, however, characterwise, the girl in Magic-Kyun is a bit more matured compared to the girl from Watashi ga Motete, whose is a bit on the immature side.

An oddball high school girl surrounded by four pretty boys? You'll find that set-up in both of these shows! Of the two, Kiss Him Not Me is heavier on the reverse-harem aspects than The Wallflower.

If you liked Kamisama Kiss, you might be the target audience for the show (AKA romance fangirls who squeal at the sight of their favorite characters). Similarly, if you liked Kiss Him, Not Me and need a new romance anime with hot guys to squeal at, Kamisama Kiss has no shortage of that.

Both about nerds that had a body change and become popular on school, good comedy with good characters

Both anime series fall into the same rare category of fanservice-filled shoujo (?) demographic gag comedies. Although Mahou Shoujo Ore is more based in fantasy (because with a Magical Girl concept, how could it not be?), both series have similar humour styles and underlying romantic tension.

Just the fact on how both shows had me dying with laughter just seemed so familiar. Although I prefer Grand Blue more, just if you'd like to explore I'd recommend this one :3

Good romance, it has a group as the main focus and they are not clichés, but rather short both and contains light comedy as well.

Another inverse harem anime, not as big as brothers conflict but with cute and memorable caracthers you would love.
report Recommended by AniverSeeSaw
both are a colorful comedy anime with a female otaku as the main lead, both said female otakus jus so happens to be super pretty and popular with guys, they even both have a brother they don't get along with, it's also worth mentioning that both characters has a fat and "ugly" version of themself, even if for umaru chan it's just when she's at home

Main characters are girls with very niche/nerdy hobbies, and can appear to be a slob in the best way possible! Both have similar, warm and wholesome feels to the series.
report Recommended by tsujiri
Both depict the life of an otaku more specifically a fujoshi. Also, both have cutesy art and music. Tonari no 801-chan R is only a 90-second adaptation, though.

If you're into a relatable fudanshi/fujoshi protagonist, this could be your cup of tea. It includes lots of shipping boys and plenty of hijinks surrounding the weirdness of these otakus.

same vibe! 1010 would recommend tho

Both animes feature a main otaku obsessed character and a lot of romance. the only differnece is its more of a reverse harem anime, but its equally as funny

Both have BL loving girls (Otaku's) and have boys falling in love with them. Both girls struggle with their looks. Both are comedies!

ok hear me out with this: I know "Kiss him Not Me is reverse harem and yowamushi pedal has absolutely nothing to do with cutesy romance comedy stuff..... however watching this i couldn't help but think of yowamushi pedal. For one thing the main characters are literally the same. Both of them are otakus and are trying to get their friends to watch anime. while yowamushi pedal is strongly about bicycles its actually about this lonely non athletic otaku that just wants to make friends so he can hang out and go buy anime stuff together. Well one day he meets a guy on the bicycle  read more

They basically both keep that hilarious general feel of, "laugh your ass off whist simultaneously watching a somewhat gay/lesbian/straight weird concoction of comedy."

-both reverse harem -both the guys are all trying to date the MC

Shoujo, reverse harem school life romance anime. The main character is constantly surrounded by attractive males who are protective of her.

Both have the same feeling from romance but in Ultra Maniac magic is involve while in Kiss Him, Not Me! is more of a Slice of Life
report Recommended by AkatsukiUlquiora
Both anime are really light-hearted and fun to watch. Both involve a protagonist that are intially overweight but goes through a sudden change that helps them to be able to form bonds with people. Both have similar animation style that is great to look at. Both are refreshing and involve comedy.

I think these two anime have the same feel to them, I thought maybe that it might have been done by the same studio or producers but I've found no connection except for the fact that both of the manga authors make BL manga. Both center around romance and boy love in particular, although with Watashi ga Motete Dousunda the main love story is a straight one. And in Love Stage!! the main pair get together pretty quick in comparison to the fact that Watashi ga Motete Dousunda is a harem and has no main couple. Other similarities between the shows is that both main characters are  read more

Both are harem with gender reversal (1 boy/1 girl surrounded by tons of baes) Both discuss what it means to be an otaku and make references to otaku culture (similar comedy) Both are based in high school Both have multiple main characters with unique personalities

Both anime are for female audiences Both anime start with a twist Both anime features a reverse harem Both anime have a weird sense of humour

Even though these two anime didn't have the same goal at all, with one being a reverse harem with the main female that ships them together, and the other building a steady and official anime club, they have similar points. - They're both made to be lighthearted and funny - The references of other anime are present in both - The word anime itself is mentioned often in both - They both have that one episode where the main characters go to an anime convention - They have at least one character that doesn't know what's going on most of the time
