similarities: - both shows take place around a similar era (early 90s) - both show are spy animes - similar artstyle - both have betrayal as a main theme - both start off slow but picks up in the middle - both have an satisfying ending (imo) - both targets the same mature audience differences: Joker Game is about a spy agency before the second world war and each episode talks about a story of an individual spy while 91 Days is a show about a kid seeking revenge for his family against the marfia, as he infiltrates the marfia family and tries to take out whoever killed his family. Personally I feel like 91 Days is a more superior show as the ending is more satisfying and the story is more intense while in Joker Game, since you get one episode per spy, you dont build up that connection with the spy therefore you wont really feel anything that happens to him. read more 

Both series take place around the same time period. Both animes also have similar art and they also show how cruel the world was back then

Both play in a similar time both deal with crime/betrayal both deal with a group of people who do criminal things BOTH have an awesome story! both give a similar feeling off!  

We have 2 anime airing in 2016 about the mafia, spying and a lot of betrayals during the 90's. Similar artwork, smart characters, and sneaky schemes. There are also a lot of unexpected deaths you'd never see coming in both. Joker Game focus on single stories about each member of its spy agency, while 91 Days focus on a revenge tale against a mafia family, but both appeal to the same mature audience. 

1. Both are in similar eras. 2. Drawing styles are similar. 3. They both have an intense amount of action. 4. Betrayal. 5. Spies. :) So, this is the most similar anime to Joker Game I know. 

if you love anime that's focused on the serious side with lots of actions. then this anime is for you.  

Whereas one is about revenge and the other about spies, they both have a similar atmosphere and setting. 

Both series are based around spies. Stories revolve around their missions. Tone is serious and dramatical. Joker Game is based in real world history between WW1 and WW2, where Princess Principal take place in alternate steampunk version of victorian era.  

If yout like this anime, probably you also might like joker game anime, both of them telling stories about spy, and like your expected in every episode will suprise you :) 

Princess Principal is basically Joker game, moe edition. Both are centered around spy rings and take place over 70 years ago (Joker game plays in the prelude to WWII, PP takes place in a steampunk version of late 19th century England). As such, both enter moral gray zones and make you question whether or not the guys you're following are really the 'good' ones. Lastly, as it appears, both are Episodic anime. 

Both are spy based anime series with a case per episode. The main difference is that Joker Game's characters are mainly 20-year-old guys and Princess Principal have teens girls.  

I must admit, I haven't finished Joker Game yet, but from what I've seen, it's quite similar to Princess Principal. Joker Game's narrative is focused around the missions of the various characters, and Princess Principal follows one group the whole time, but the episodes are out of order, allowing you to unravel the mysteries and figure things out in a very unique way. It also has a sort of spy theme as well, in a time past, though Princess Principal seems to be more of a fantasy realm than Joker Game. 

Both series are similar in their attemp to portrai more realistic version of spy world (Joker Game more so than Senkou no Night Raid) compared to such classics as Bond Novels. Both are in same time period, that is before WW2. Art style is also quite similar. Joker Game has more episodic aproach, so every episode there are new mysteries and new spies, although there is some connecting tissue. Senkou no Night Raid has story arc through whole series. Joker Game is more reality based, although protagonists are top of their respective fields, they are still humans. Senkou no Night Raid is more fantastic, more in line of all powerful action superheroes of yesteryear. read more 

VERY similar art style. Both are set during WWII and feature Japanese spies. Senkou no Night Raid is more fantastical and feature spies with super powers; Joker Game is more realistic, with character designs which reflect that. 

Both shows take an approach on the world of spies. Night Raid maintains a more supernatural feel throughout, while Joker Game has more realistic approach. Both maintain a similar tense feel throughout, although Night Raid has a growing plot while Joker Game is more episodic. Both are decent watches and if you enjoyed one, you'll probably enjoy the other.

Very similar feel. The minute I heard the opening it reminded me of Baccano. If you like Baccano, you will like Joker Game. 

Both anime: -are around the same time period with more than just Japanese culture. -have similar suspense and types of treachery -have good action -have similar soundtracks and OPs 

- The Historic context is more or less the same. - The Animation is Epic in both animes. - Both have very Epic OST.  

I'd recommend Joker Game to anyone who enjoyed Moriarty the Patriot and vice-versa. Both of them are set around the same time, have a very similar feel and even share the same studio. 

Both are episodic anime story, in every new episode a new character is introduced or a new mini villain.
