Aria and Sketchbook share the slice of life genre. The pace of these two is incredibly slow and they are both very good, especially after a tiring day at work. I also noticed that cats play quite a big role in both of these. Even the company who animated these two is the same. The only major difference between these two would be the sci-fi found in Aria.

Slice of life, circles around art. If you've seen one of them, watch the other too. I enjoyed both of them ..

GA has more comedy than Sketchbook, but they both are still very similar. Both shows are about a fairly normal girl surrounded by odd people in her art class. GA is kind of like the middle ground between Sketchbook and Hidamari, so if you liked those, you'll probably like GA.

What can I say? They're both slice of life shows with a lot of kitties. Sure, Sketchbook has a lot more, but without the kitties, neither shows would be the same. Sketchbook leans more towards the very cute, somewhat slow-paced slice of life genre, while Azumanga Daioh tries much harder to get laughs. Yet despite that I can see a lot of Azumanga Daioh fans enjoying Sketchbook (and vice-versa, though most people have seen Azumanga Daioh).

Makers from the same studio. Both have a similar premise of finding friendship through art and photography in a laidback setting. Cats make recurring appearances in both stories.

relaxing atmospheres, yet natsume has more action and supernatural element as well. yet both seem to show how beautiful world it is and ends each episode with a nice calming feeling

Tamayura is about a girl who takes up photography, while Sketchbook:Full Colors is about a girl who takes up Drawing, and how both come to shape them. Though Sketchbook takes on a notably less serious tone than Tamayura, the two anime share the same heartwarming quality that makes you just feel at peace with life. It`s quite reasonable to hug a kitten or make a large donation to a charity after an episode of either.

Both have amazingly relaxing atmospheres and extremely likable characters, and show off great looking landscapes. The music in the shows is also both relaxing and amazing to listen to.

Both have: *Slice of life, comedy, school *cute, heartwarming, friendship, teenagers, a group of friends *there are cats! in Kimi to Boku as ambient around and in Full Color with more dialogues between them. The only difference is Full Color is about girls and Kimi to Boku is about boys and has a little more romance.

Sketchbook is basically a slower-paced Nichijou. Both are set mostly at a school, are full of jokes, and are sure to make you smile. They both also have talking cats.

Calm, just calm with few conflicts, almost impossible to go wrong. While Shoujo Shuumatsu is the daily life of two little girls surviving in the World, Sketchbook is literally episodes where almost nothing happens and is extremely relaxing. Cute girls with a relaxing vibe. Two works to watch without worry because not much happens. Both also have good comedy. Maybe anime should be that, not trying to be too much and failing miserably, but rather having a few things happen and getting basically everything it does right.

Both are SoLs + comedy with quiet MCs who tend to think a lot and have the same seiyuu.

They both made me feel good after each episode, if you like the "feel good" atmosphere from anime I recomend these 2!

Two fun slice of life anime's with a cast of cute cats in. The most similar aspect would be the interactions between cats in scenes voiced like humans. Sketchbook focuses more on the plot of its human characters and has the cat scenes more in the background but the scenes in both with cat interactions are very cute to watch. Despite their plots differing a lot, I'd say both are just as enjoyable.

Both anime are really cute, relaxing, and just a breath of fresh air to watch within each episode. They both involve young girls and school with something different each day.

Both of them are having slow pacing time, thought binchou-tan art style is more into chibish. I can feel both of them have the same atmosphere where you go "easy-going-life", "life without pressure", "go easy" stuff.

Neither To Heart nor Sketchbook are in any rush to tell a story, or to create complex characters. What they excel in is escapism. To Heart is about the wonder of meeting new potential love interests at anime high school; Sketchbook is about a sensitive person cherishing the simple things in life. Both are relaxing shows with innocent loveable moe girls. Also, both have a cheerful American character who speaks comically bad Japanese, and a quiet and gentle girl with long, black hair.

These shows have very similar protagonists who are shy and avoid insurrections with others. These shows are very relaxing.

Both are laid-back series with lots of cats :3

These anime feature characters that focus on little details that make up the worlds around them. They help to remind the viewer of things that they may have missed or forgotten in nature or in life, making them both very relaxing.

Hitohira and Sketchbook are both slice-of-life series about a group of students in an artistic club. Each has a shy protagonist, although they expand to include significant screen time for other characters. Both series are perfect for fans of short, slow-paced, character-based series.

Also about an art club. For those seeking art-related animes.

Both series are about students enjoying their club activities. The main characters from the two series are both quiet and reflective, while the supporting characters are similarly wacky. Both series are funny as well.

Kamichu! and Sketchbook are verry similair, they dont really have a story line or plot, their made just for entertainment. The series both follow a shy high school girl and her friends while joining their club activities in school. and a funny thing, they both include talking cats

Bring on the relaxing slice of life uplifting anime! Similar comfy cushion feel to both, calms you to sleep (in a good way). And feast yourself on gorgeous animation, particularly Yokohama.

Both slice of life genre series are about high school students and their interest in art - oh, and cats (but more so in Sketchbook than HSx365). One difference between the two series is that HSx365 follows four girls, two who are first year students and two who are upperclassmen who are aiming to graduate with art degrees. Sketchbook, on the other hand, follows first year student Sora who enters into her school's art club and as well as her classmates who are in the club.

Same genre, same studio, same seiyuu for the main heroines, and great opening themes in both of them. The atmosphere is not very similar (Sketchbook is more calm and Natsu no Sora is more dramatic), but if you liked one series, it would be worth trying another.

Same kind of humor. Both are excelent comedy series.

Sketchbook and Aria are the same thing. Different stories, settings, and characters, but the same show. You can't possibly like one and hate the other.

windy tales has more action and adventure, as well as supernatural, whilst sketchbook is more slice of life, appreciation of the world based, but both similar atmospheres
report Recommended by sugarplumfairy
Both deal with the everyday lives of a group of high school girls. Comedy, slice of life.
