Grappler Baki (TV)

both are high pace fighting anime, good stories and show the main character enduring hardships to become the best. 

A young boy fighting inhuman opponents. The fights are excellent and a must see for martial arts fans! 

These are both Martial Arts anime, where Kenichi just wishes to get strong enough to protect the people he loves, and Baki wants to defeat his dad and become the strongest being on earth. However, they are very similar in the concept of following the main character win fights and get stronger as the series progresses. The art and character design of these series are quite different though, and may take some getting used to, but they're both very much worth it. Also Baki has more blood and just overall violence where Kenichi focusses more on the Martial Arts itself. Baki the Grappler also has a sequel after which the series end, but Kenichi is still ongoing as a manga series. read more 

These are both martial arts shonen anime. They both follow the top level of martial artists that far surpasses your average professional fighters, the strongest in the world. They both have good animation, great art styles and character designs.  

Both animes are related to fighting, and if you liked the way the story progressed in either anime then you will enjoy the other at the end. They both share a tournament style as well, if you enjoy that feel in an anime... 

In both series, you will see brutal hand to hand fights, without many rules. Sometimes, fighters may get seriously wounded or even die. If you like your bare handed combat dirty and bloody, both titles may be for you. 

Baki the Grappler is an all out martial arts anime jammed with various characters of many different disciplines, with the main character's goal to become the strongest. 

Young protagonist who has been honing his martial arts keeps getting into fight with other masters of fighting. 

Recommended to all boxing fans and those who love lifes' tough calls. 

Both have famous source material and tons of great fights. Baki is more over the top than Kengan, especially the farther in you go but Kengan Ashura makes up for it with its greater diversity of fighters. Also Kengan has better scenes in between fights - not that most people care. After all these 2 anime/manga focus heavily on fighting, in Baki theres hardly anything outside of it other than training while in Kengan theres exchanges between the top brass of companies, and non-hostile interactions between fighters which gives depth to the characters of Kengan that Baki characters get.  

Both Dio and Yujiro Hanma are forces that can't be defeated or reason with. Both series has that style of strong and big muscular men (look at 15 year old "kid" Kaoru Hanayama) The part 1 of Jojo is about Jonathan wanting to defeat his evil vampiric "brother". In case of Baki, he wants to defeat his father that is know as the strongest of the world (he can even stop eartquakes with one punch in the Earth). Both stories has those moments of absurdity (search Baki in youtube and you get lots of cool scenes). I also recommend Baki because he's a anime without powers. All fights are 100% physical. Both are about small redheads who make to become the strongest man in the world/Yokozuna. They each have great fight scenes and their source material are both considered classics. 

*Both MC's train to become stronger to defeat a much stronger enemy. *The two series have amazing action and martial arts elements. *Both MC's become very strong after all the series of training they do surely after they both achieve the status of strongest by many people. *Both MC's always want to fight for whats wright and protect the ones they love.  

At the beginning they seem to have basic plot lines, though later in the anime it changes into something more.  

Martial Arts, specifically boxing. Different look and feel but more training to be the best.

Albeit taking place in a non-fantasy world, Grappler Baki shares at least a small handful of similarities to Dragon Ball, specifically the focus on martial arts. Baki is just as overthetop as Dragon Ball, and as the series progresses, it only escalates further, perhaps even drawing similarities even to Dragon Ball Z. 

Both martial arts focused anime with interesting characters and more graphic/violent fights.  

They both involve extreme fighting conditions. Eventhough Hokuto no Ken may seem a bit outdated and not as appealing to the eyes, they are both very much so alike. Fighting to the death, revenge, great action scenes, and outrageous fighting moves. Check it out.  

Both main characters only want to fight with their bare hands. They both want to become stronger and well known with their fighting techniques.
