They both deal with people trying to save the world after a threat appears on the net. They also share the same director.

Things that are sopposibly programmed in a computer come to the real world, and it's up to a bunch of kids to save the world. This disprition could fit both Bokurano and Digimon: Our War Game. Sure, the kids in Bokurano are older, and the series is darker.

Nobody outside of the main cast seem to have a grasp on reality. Excess of similarities in shot composition, similar environments and locations. Ethereal.

Same director. Both films in two of Toei's biggest properties. Similar artistic style and animation. Both visually outstanding in comparison to most other works from each of their time periods, and great as standalone movies too. Both enjoyable and worth a watch, especially for fans of either series.

Both the first movies for their respective iconic children's franchises Digimon and Yu-Gi-Oh. Both feature the same beloved heroes from their respective TV anime in a more dangerous than usual battle with the highest stakes. Both from around the same era and likely targeting similar audiences. Enthralling characters, monsters and art styles.

Both the first big blow out movies for iconic kids anime franchises Beyblade & Digimon. Both follow on from their respective TV anime and see our beloved heroes from those series in extraordinary situations. Both have great characters and monster designs.
